The Rangers recalled Ahlstrom from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
Just four days after being sent down to Round Rock, Ahlstrom is back with the big-league club. His numbers with Texas this season include a 3-1 record, 6.03 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB over 31.1 innings. The Rangers placed Peyton Gray (elbow) on the 15-day injured list, freeing a spot on the active roster for Ahlstrom.

Ahlstrom loses his spot in the bullpen after being knocked around for 10 runs over his last 5.1 innings covering six appearances. It's unclear what the corresponding roster move will be, but the Rangers will announce one before Friday's game in Milwaukee.

The Rangers selected Ahlstrom's contract from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Jeff Wilson of AllDLLS.com reports.
Ahlstrom earned the promotion by putting up a 2.76 ERA and 33:8 K:BB over 29.1 innings with Round Rock. The left-hander will turn 27 later this month and will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.
