  • Twins' Travis Adams: Secures one-out save

Adams earned the save against the Red Sox on Sunday, retiring the only batter he faced in the ninth inning. Adams entered with a one-run lead, two outs and runners on the corners in the ninth inning and escaped the jam on just one pitch to earn his first career save. The 26-year-old has now posted three straight scoreless outings after yielding three earned runs over his first two appearances. He owns a 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB across eight innings and is the 11th Twins pitcher to record a save in 2026.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Called up Tuesday

The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday. The right-hander spent a few days with the Twins earlier this month before returning to St. Paul, and he's now back in the big leagues ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Astros. Adams has surrendered three earned runs with a 5:2 K:BB over 3.2 frames in the majors this year.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Optioned to Triple-A

The Twins optioned Adams to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Adams was needed for 2.1 innings out of the bullpen in Wednesday's loss to the Marlins, so he likely wasn't going to be available for a day or two. He'll return to the St. Paul bullpen.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Activated and optioned

The Twins activated Adams (triceps) from the 15-day injured list Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A St. Paul. Adams has been shelved all season with a triceps injury but has made five rehab appearances, allowing six runs with an 8:3 K:BB over six innings. The last three of those outings came at St. Paul, and the Twins will keep him there rather than put him on the big-league roster.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Cleared for rehab assignment

Adams (triceps) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Fort Myers on Wednesday, Theodore Tollefson of Zone Coverage reports. Adams has been sidelined all season with a triceps issue that first popped up in early March. Given the long layoff, he's sure to require multiple rehab starts before the Twins make the decision of whether to add him to the big-league roster or keep him in the minors.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Shelved with triceps strain

The Twins placed Adams (triceps) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday. Adams has been out since early March with what the club had referred to as elbow inflammation, but evidently the injury is more so to his triceps. He resumed mound work last week but will need some time to ramp back up.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Throws in bullpen

Adams (right elbow inflammation) threw in the bullpen Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. Adams appears likely to begin the season on the injured list. He experienced soreness in his elbow March 6 and has only recently started throwing.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Sent back to Triple-A

The Twins optioned Adams to Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday. Adams has struggled since he was called up at the start of August, logging a 7.36 ERA and 12:9 K:BB over 11 innings. The right-hander has made two starts among his eight appearances in the majors this season and could join the rotation as he heads back to St. Paul.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Recalled from St. Paul

The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday. Adams made his MLB debut earlier this season, pitching in four games out of the bullpen for the Twins. He registered an 8.03 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB across 12.1 innings of work. Adams will help fill the void in Minnesota's bullpen following the trade deadline.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Fares well in bulk relief

Adams moved to 1-0 while working out of the bullpen in Saturday's 12-4 win over the Pirates, covering four innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits and one walk while striking out three. For the second Saturday in a row, Adams was deployed in bulk relief behind Cole Sands while the Twins looked to fill a hole in the rotation. After yielding five earned runs over four innings in his MLB debut last week against Tampa Bay, Adams performed much better Saturday and came away with his first big-league win after getting plenty of run support from his mates. With Zebby Matthews (shoulder) set to begin a rehab assignment Sunday and potentially on track to return from the injured list on the other side of the All-Star break, Adams may not be guaranteed another bulk-relief appearance for the Twins.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Expected to pitch Saturday

The Twins plan to recall Adams from Triple-A St. Paul to serve as a starter, a bulk reliever behind an opener, or as a reliever in a bullpen game Saturday versus the Rays, Matthew Leach of MLB.com reports. The Twins have an open spot in their rotation after Bailey Ober (hip) was placed on the injured list Wednesday, and Adams looks like he'll get the first chance to fill the void. Adams has started in five of his 19 appearances with St. Paul this season, logging a 3.68 ERA with a 21.8 percent strikeout rate and 7.5 percent walk rate. Adams most recently covered 2.2 innings for St. Paul on Tuesday, and because he'll be pitching Saturday on three days' rest, the Twins may be more inclined to use him out of the bullpen rather than as a traditional starter.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Sent back to minors

The Twins optioned Adams to Triple-A St. Paul on Monday. The corresponding move will come Tuesday, when Simeon Woods Richardson is expected to be recalled from Triple-A to start against the Rangers. Adams was called up over the weekend and did not make an appearance out of the Minnesota bullpen.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Officially brought up

The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday. Adams has tallied a 3.43 ERA and a 37:10 K:BB over 42 innings mainly as a bulk reliever with St. Paul, and he'll join the big-league club Friday. With Pablo Lopez (shoulder) on the IL and David Festa having a bumpy return to the majors Thursday, there's a path for Adams to make some starts for the Twins, though he'll initially pitch out of the bullpen. Kody Funderburk was optioned to St. Paul in a corresponding move.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Headed for promotion

The Twins intend to promote Adams to the majors Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports. The Twins' pitching staff is shorthanded in the absence of Pablo Lopez (shoulder), and David Festa was crushed filling in for a start Thursday. Meanwhile, Adams is another of the team's top pitching prospects and has turned in a 37:10 K:BB across 42 innings with Triple-A St. Paul this season while working in a bulk-relief role. That usage suggests Adams will begin his big-league career in the bullpen, but it wouldn't take him long to stretch back out to pitch as a traditional starter.

  • Twins' Travis Adams: Misses out on Opening Day roster

The Twins optioned Adams to minor-league camp Sunday, Phil Miller of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports. Adams was added to the 40-man roster in November but wasn't a serious candidate to join the Twins for Opening Day. The 25-year-old righty will most likely open the 2025 season as a member of the Triple-A St. Paul rotation. Adams logged a 3.90 ERA and 118:35 K:BB in 127 innings between stops with St. Paul and Double-A Wichita in 2024.
