Twins' Travis Adams: Earns second save
Adams earned the save in Friday's 5-3 win over the Royals, allowing one run on two hits in the ninth inning. He did not record a walk or a strikeout.
Adams was called upon with a three-run lead in the ninth inning and closed things out despite allowing a run. The 26-year-old has now converted both of his save chances this season, though he owns an unsightly 8.25 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 13:5 K:BB across 12 innings with the Twins.

Twins' Travis Adams: Rejoins big club
The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday.
The right-hander was optioned to St. Paul after Thursday's loss to the White Sox but will quickly return to the big-league roster with Bailey Ober (elbow) headed to the injured list. Adams has struggled in seven MLB appearances this year, posting a 7.20 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 12:5 K:BB over 10 innings.

Twins' Travis Adams: Sent down after loss
Adams was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul following Thursday's 6-2 loss to the White Sox, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Adams was able to toss a perfect inning out of the bullpen Thursday, striking out a batter in the process. It was a nice bounce-back outing for the 26-year-old after he gave up five runs on four hits, including two home runs, over one frame in Wednesday's loss to Chicago. The right-hander will now return to the Triple-A level and wait for his next chance to potentially rejoin the major-league roster later this year.

Twins' Travis Adams: Secures one-out save
Adams earned the save against the Red Sox on Sunday, retiring the only batter he faced in the ninth inning.
Adams entered with a one-run lead, two outs and runners on the corners in the ninth inning and escaped the jam on just one pitch to earn his first career save. The 26-year-old has now posted three straight scoreless outings after yielding three earned runs over his first two appearances. He owns a 3.38 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB across eight innings and is the 11th Twins pitcher to record a save in 2026.

Twins' Travis Adams: Called up Tuesday
The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.
The right-hander spent a few days with the Twins earlier this month before returning to St. Paul, and he's now back in the big leagues ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Astros. Adams has surrendered three earned runs with a 5:2 K:BB over 3.2 frames in the majors this year.

Twins' Travis Adams: Optioned to Triple-A
The Twins optioned Adams to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Adams was needed for 2.1 innings out of the bullpen in Wednesday's loss to the Marlins, so he likely wasn't going to be available for a day or two. He'll return to the St. Paul bullpen.

Twins' Travis Adams: Back in big leagues
The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Adams will rejoin the big club as the roster replacement for Taj Bradley, who landed on the injured list Saturday with right pectoral inflammation. Adams posted a 7.49 ERA in 33.2 innings with the Twins last season and has surrendered six earned runs over six frames in Triple-A this year. He'll likely be limited to low-leverage situations while in the majors.

Twins' Travis Adams: Activated and optioned
The Twins activated Adams (triceps) from the 15-day injured list Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A St. Paul.
Adams has been shelved all season with a triceps injury but has made five rehab appearances, allowing six runs with an 8:3 K:BB over six innings. The last three of those outings came at St. Paul, and the Twins will keep him there rather than put him on the big-league roster.

Twins' Travis Adams: Cleared for rehab assignment
Adams (triceps) will begin a rehab assignment with Single-A Fort Myers on Wednesday, Theodore Tollefson of Zone Coverage reports.
Adams has been sidelined all season with a triceps issue that first popped up in early March. Given the long layoff, he's sure to require multiple rehab starts before the Twins make the decision of whether to add him to the big-league roster or keep him in the minors.

Twins' Travis Adams: Shelved with triceps strain
The Twins placed Adams (triceps) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.
Adams has been out since early March with what the club had referred to as elbow inflammation, but evidently the injury is more so to his triceps. He resumed mound work last week but will need some time to ramp back up.

Twins' Travis Adams: Battling elbow inflammation
The Twins announced Sunday that Adams has been diagnosed with right elbow inflammation and won't resume throwing until at least next weekend, Matthew Leach of MLB.com reports.
Adams first experienced soreness in his elbow Friday, with follow-up tests revealing no structural damage but confirming that the right-hander is dealing with inflammation. The 26-year-old had surrendered two earned runs on two hits and two walks over 2.2 innings through his first three Grapefruit League outings, and his poor numbers coupled with the elbow issue could be enough to keep him from winning a spot in the Twins' Opening Day bullpen.

Twins' Travis Adams: Moves up from Triple-A
The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.
Adams will give the Twins some length in the bullpen during the final month of the season. The righty holds a 7.71 ERA and 21:12 K:BB over 23.1 innings covering two starts and six relief appearances in the majors in 2025.

Twins' Travis Adams: Sent back to Triple-A
The Twins optioned Adams to Triple-A St. Paul on Sunday.
Adams has struggled since he was called up at the start of August, logging a 7.36 ERA and 12:9 K:BB over 11 innings. The right-hander has made two starts among his eight appearances in the majors this season and could join the rotation as he heads back to St. Paul.

Twins' Travis Adams: Lit up in Tuesday's start
Adams dropped to 1-2 on the season in Tuesday's 9-1 loss to the Yankees after striking out two batters and yielding four earned runs on four hits and four walks over 2.1 innings.
After striking out seven and allowing two earned runs in a five-inning start versus the Tigers on Aug. 4, Adams shifted to the bullpen for his next appearance. The Twins went back to Adams in a starting role Tuesday, but he was undone by the long ball early, serving up a solo shot to Aaron Judge in the first inning and a three-run blast to Anthony Volpe in the second. After allowing three of the first four hitters to reach base in the bottom of the third, Adams was mercifully pulled from the game. Minnesota will have another opening in its rotation this Sunday against the Tigers, but it's unclear if Adams will be the team's choice to start or work in bulk relief that day. Thomas Hatch worked in long relief behind Adams on Tuesday and could also be a candidate to handle multiple innings Sunday.

Twins' Travis Adams: Fans seven in first start
Adams did not factor into the decision in Monday's 6-3 loss at Detroit, conceding two runs on four hits and no walks over five innings. He struck out seven.
The Minnesota rookie fared well in his first career start after logging four relief appearances this season. Adams generated an astounding 16 whiffs out his 63 total pitches against a Detroit squad that entered the contest ranked sixth in total runs scored. The lone blemish on the right-hander's performance was a two-run homer given up to Wenceel Perez in the fifth. Given this impressive outing, it's possible the Twins decide to give Adams more starts in the future. Across 17.1 total frames, the 25-year-old sports a 6.75 ERA, 3.63 FIP, 1.38 WHIP and 16:3 K:BB.

Twins' Travis Adams: Drawing start Monday
Adams will start Monday's game in Detroit, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
All four of Adams' appearances to this point at the major-league level have come in relief, but he has gone at least 3.1 innings in three of those outings, including during his last appearance July 27. While Adams may not be in line for a traditional start Monday, he's stretched out to provide anywhere from 3-to-4 innings before turning the game over to the bullpen.

Twins' Travis Adams: Recalled from St. Paul
The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday.
Adams made his MLB debut earlier this season, pitching in four games out of the bullpen for the Twins. He registered an 8.03 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 9:3 K:BB across 12.1 innings of work. Adams will help fill the void in Minnesota's bullpen following the trade deadline.
