  • Orioles' Stiven Martinez: Returns to action

    Martinez (hamstring) has gone 5-for-23 with four extra-base hits, six runs, two RBI and a 2:11 BB:K through his first six games of the season at Single-A Delmarva. Martinez missed time at the start of the 2026 campaign due to a hamstring injury, but he was cleared to for his season debut April 7. The Orioles signed the 18-year-old outfielder out of the Dominican Republic for $950,000 in January 2014.

  • Orioles' Stiven Martinez: Shelved with injury

    Martinez is sidelined at Single-A Delmarva due to a hamstring injury, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports. Martinez has not been placed on the injured list, but he has not played in a game yet this season for the Shorebirds. The 18-year-old outfielder hit .125 with a 48.4 percent strikeout rate in 25 games at Single-A last year, but he has always logged high walk rates while being young for his levels, and there is plus raw power potential as he fills out his 6-foot-4 frame.
