Tigers' Tarik Skubal: Falls to Phillies
Skubal (5-5) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five.
While Skubal has now given up two runs or fewer in each of his last three outings, he was stuck with the loss Sunday, as the Tigers' offense couldn't muster anything against Zack Wheeler in an eventual 5-0 defeat. Skubal will head into the All-Star break with a 3.09 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 89:11 K:BB across 13 starts (75.2 innings).

Tigers' Tarik Skubal: Nine Ks again in win
Skubal (5-4) earned the win against the Athletics on Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks with nine strikeouts over five innings.
Skubal allowed a homer for the fifth straight game since returning from the injured list but was otherwise strong, throwing 62 of 96 pitches for strikes with a whopping 22 whiffs. The southpaw has yielded just two earned runs across back-to-back victories and has recorded exactly nine punchouts in three straight outings. He owns a 3.06 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 84:10 K:BB across 70.2 innings this season and lines up to face the Phillies at home this weekend in his final matchup before the All-Star break.

Tigers' Tarik Skubal: Strikes out nine in statement win
Skubal (8-4) earned the win against the Yankees on Tuesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and no walks with nine strikeouts over six innings.
Going against fellow ace Cam Schlittler, Skubal generated 13 swinging strikes on 87 pitches en route to his first win since April 18. The outing marked the first quality start in four turns since returning from the injured list for the 29-year-old, who has allowed seven homers during that span while still posting a strong 0.85 WHIP and 30:2 K:BB. He'll carry a 3.15 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 75:8 K:BB across 65.2 innings this season into a home matchup with the Athletics next week.

Tigers' Tarik Skubal: Stung by long ball in loss
Skubal (3-4) took the loss Wednesday against the Yankees, allowing four runs on four hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out nine.
The Yankees made the most out of their hits, taking Skubal deep three times Wednesday. The All-Star left-hander served up a trio of home runs for the sixth time in his career, and he's now given up six homers in his last three starts since coming off the injured list after surrendering only two in his first seven outings of 2026. Skubal will be trying to right the ship when he brings a 3.32 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 66:8 K:BB over 59.2 innings into a scheduled rematch with the Yankees next week in New York.

Tigers' Tarik Skubal: Records no-decision Friday
Skubal allowed three runs on seven hits across 5.2 innings and did not factor into the decision in Friday's 4-3 win over the White Sox. He walked one and struck out eight.
It wasn't a typically dominant Skubal performance in his second game back after being on the injured list since the end of April. In those two starts, the star lefty has allowed six runs (five earned) across 10.1 innings while striking out 12, and he's now sitting with a 3.02 ERA and 9.6 K/9 through his first nine appearances this year. Home runs were the culprit Friday, as Skubal served up solo shots in the first and sixth innings to put sour bookends on his night. He'll look for more of his usual ace performance his next time out, which is currently scheduled for Wednesday against the Yankees at home.
