Braves' Michael Harris: Returns from paternity leave
Atlanta activated Harris from the paternity leave list Monday.
Harris was away for the last two games of the weekend series against the Guardians, but he's back as Atlanta kicks off a home series versus the Marlins on Monday. The 25-year-old has collected a .235/.264/.373batting line with two home runs and one stolen base in his first 53 trips to the dish this season.

Braves' Michael Harris: Away on paternity leave
Atlanta placed Harris on the paternity list Saturday.
Harris will be allowed to miss up to three games while he spends time with his expanding family. Eli White will likely pick up a few starts in center field while Harris is gone, and Luke Williams will come up from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill the open roster spot.

Braves' Michael Harris: Belts first homer since Opening Day
Harris went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run during Atlanta's 11-5 win over Cleveland on Friday.
Harris put the exclamation point on Atlanta's six-run sixth inning by taking Matt Festa deep to right-center field for a two-run homer. It was Harris' third multi-hit game of the season and his first home run since Opening Day against the Royals on March 27. He has gone 12-for-51 (.235) with seven RBI and one steal to open the 2026 regular season.

Braves' Michael Harris: Taking seat Tuesday
Harris is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels.
Harris started the first 11 games of the season but will get his first day off Tuesday. He began the campaign with a homer Opening Day and a three-hit showing in the second game, but he's batting just .143 (5-for-35) across the past nine contests. Eli White is receiving the start in center field Tuesday for Atlanta.

Braves' Michael Harris: Swats first homer of 2026
Harris went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 6-0 win over the Royals.
Batting ninth to begin the season, the center fielder launched the third of three Atlanta homers off Cole Ragans in the big win. Harris is coming off his first career 20-20 campaign, but the 25-year-old is still searching for some consistency in the majors -- he slashed .210/.234/.317 in the first half of 2025, but .299/.315/.530 in the second half. If Harris can avoid any prolonged slumps this year, he has the talent to take his production to another level.

Braves' Michael Harris: Could run more in 2026
Harris may be one of the players who benefits the most from Atlanta having hired Antoan Richardson as its new baserunning coach, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
Richardson was the man most responsible for Juan Soto's stunning 38-steal campaign in 2025, and the coach might have a little more to work with in Atlanta with Harris, Ozzie Albies and Ronald Acuna all potentially capable of making a much bigger impact with their legs. A more aggressive approach on the basepaths also fits with new manager Walt Weiss' philosophy. "Antoan knows how important baserunning is to me," Weiss said. "It's really important to him, and he's made it important to the players." Harris has stolen exactly 20 bases three times in his four MLB seasons, but his 79th percentile sprint speed in 2025 suggests there's more production in the category to be unlocked.
