  • Rangers' Gavin Collyer: Sent to Round Rock

    Texas optioned Collyer to Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday. After a rocky appearance Friday, Collyer will make his way back to Triple-A having made five appearances during his latest stint with the big-league club. The 25-year-old allowed four runs on two hits, two walks and one hit batsman while striking out one in one inning of work on Friday against Atlanta. The Rangers activated Jakob Junis from the 15-day injured list to replace Collyer on the active roster.

  • Rangers' Gavin Collyer: Added to bullpen

    The Rangers recalled Collyer from Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday. Collyer will give the Rangers' bullpen a fresh arm after the club used five pitchers in Monday's win over the Guardians. The 25-year-old was unscored upon in his first 11 outings earlier this season but was sent to Round Rock after posting an 8.59 ERA and 7:10 K:BB over his last seven outings.

    The Rangers optioned Collyer to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports. After going unscored upon in his first 11 outings in the big leagues, Collyer had allowed eight runs (seven earned) with a 7:10 K:BB over 7.1 frames covering his last seven appearances. Robby Ahlstrom is grabbing Collyer's spot on the roster and in the bullpen.

  • Rangers' Gavin Collyer: Selected from Triple-A

    The Rangers selected Collyer's contract from Triple-A Round Rock on Wednesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports. Collyer will come up from the minors to help fill the holes in Texas' bullpen left by Chris Martin (biceps) and Luis Curvelo (shoulder). The 24-year-old Collyer has started the Triple-A season strong, giving up just two runs over 6.2 innings while striking out 11 batters and walking two. He'll be making his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game.
