  • Athletics' Yunior Tur: Sent back to Triple-A

The Athletics optioned Tur to Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday. Tur will give up his spot on the active roster to lefty Drew Rom, who was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move. After allowing three earned runs over two innings and tossing 33 pitches in Tuesday's 12-4 loss to the Rays, Yur was unlikely to be available out of the bullpen for at least the next day or two had he stuck around with the Athletics.

  • Athletics' Yunior Tur: Elevated from Triple-A

The Athletics recalled Tur from Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday. Tur gave up 14 earned runs in just 2.2 innings across his first two MLB appearances in July, and he's coughed up 11 runs in 2.2 frames since returning to Triple-A. Despite his poor form at Triple-A, he'll return to the majors to give the Athletics another fresh bullpen arm to work with.

  • Athletics' Yunior Tur: Sent back to Triple-A

The Athletics optioned Tur to Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday. The 26-year-old Tur was promoted for his major-league debut last week and was absolutely pounded across two appearances with the big club. He faced 24 batters and was able to record just eight outs while allowing 14 runs on 12 hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Manager Mark Kotsay openly wondered if Tur was tipping his pitches, according to Jason Burke of Roundtable.io. Tur will try to figure things out again with Las Vegas.

  • Athletics' Yunior Tur: Contract selected

The Athletics selected Tur's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports. Tur will join the big club after turning in a 4.41 ERA and 1.31 WHIP across 51 innings at Las Vegas during the first half of the season. The A's have an opening in their rotation after pushing Aaron Civale off the 26-man and 40-man rosters, but Tur has pitched just one frame in six of his last seven minor-league appearances, so he'll most likely work out of the bullpen to begin his major-league career.
