  • 76ers' Paul George: Shut down for season

George received injections in his left adductor muscle and left knee Monday and has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

George has been consulting with doctors on treatment options for his injuries, and while a decision hasn't been made whether the 34-year-old will require surgery, he'll be held out of activity for the next six weeks while he waits for the injections to take full effect. The veteran forward delivered a lackluster first season in Philadelphia, finishing with averages of 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.3 three-pointers, 1.8 steals and 0.5 blocks across 32.5 minutes per game in 41 appearances. George is expected to be back to full health in advance of training camp in the fall.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Remains out Monday

George (groin/knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Rockets.

George's injury has been changed from a left groin strain to left groin maintenance, suggesting he's at least made some progress. However, he continues to consult doctors on treatment options for his groin and knee. A decision on whether or not the veteran will need another surgery is expected to come in the next couple of days, but while he's sidelined, Ricky Council, Justin Edwards and Oshae Brissett are candidates for increased roles, especially with Kelly Oubre (knee) and Lonnie Walker (concussion) also sidelined.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Evaluating options, surgery possible

George has been consulting with doctors on treatment options for his groin and knee injuries, and a decision on whether he'll need a procedure to address either injury is expected to be made early next week, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

George has missed the 76ers' last four games, and given that a decision on his treatment plan won't be made until early next week, he can safely be ruled out for games Friday versus the Pacers and Sunday in Dallas. Given that the 22-43 76ers don't have much at stake heading into the final month of the season, the star forward looks like he could be a candidate to get shut down whether he requires a procedure or not.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Out at least two more games

George (groin) has been ruled out for the 76ers' next two games Monday in Atlanta and Wednesday in Toronto and is scheduled to be re-evaluated prior to Friday's home game versus the Pacers, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

George is continuing to receive treatment on his left groin and is consulting with team physicians on his injury, which will end up keeping him out for a third and fourth consecutive game. Entering play Monday, the 22-41 76ers sit 3.5 games behind the Bulls for the final spot in the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament, so the organization may not have much incentive to rush George back to the court until he's fully healthy.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Out at least two more games

Philadelphia head coach Nick Nurse said that George (groin) won't play Sunday versus the Jazz or Monday in Atlanta, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

After aggravating a left groin injury in Tuesday's loss to the Timberwolves, George sat out Thursday's loss to the Celtics and was unable to practice Saturday. Justin Edwards should continue to receive increased playing time while George is out for at least the next two contests.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Won't play against Boston

George (groin) is out for Thursday's game versus the Celtics, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

George has been downgraded from questionable to out Thursday due to a groin injury he suffered against Minnesota. In his absence, Justin Edwards (ankle) and Ricky Council are candidates to receive increased playing time. George's next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Utah.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Listed as questionable

George (groin) is questionable for Thursday's game versus Boston.

George left Tuesday's game against Minnesota after three quarters due to groin soreness, an injury that continues to linger for the forward. The questionable tag suggests that he remains day-to-day, however. If George can play through his questionable tag, he could offer more upside with Tyrese Maxey (back) set to miss another game.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Won't return vs. Minnesota

George won't return to Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves due to groin soreness, Sam DiGiovanni of ClutchPoints.com reports.

George was able to play the first three quarters before taking a seat at the start of the fourth. He'll finish with seven points (3-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, six assists and two steals across 30 minutes. The 34-year-old missed Monday's loss to Portland due to the groin injury, and he was listed as questionable before Tuesday's contest. The veteran forward can be considered questionable at best for Thursday's game against Boston until the club provides another update.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Officially good to go

George (groin) is available and in the starting five for Tuesday's game versus the Timberwolves.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Iffy for Tuesday

George (groin) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against Minnesota.

George was held out of Monday's loss to the Trail Blazers due to left groin soreness, but he traveled with the team to Minnesota and has a chance at returning for the second leg of a back-to-back set. If available Tuesday, George should be in store for a big uptick in usage; Tyrese Maxey (back) and Joel Embiid (back) are among the six 76ers players ruled out for the game, while Quentin Grimes (bicep) and Justin Edwards (ankle) are listed as questionable.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Ruled out against Portland

George is out for Monday's game against Portland due to left groin soreness.

George will take a seat Monday, clearing up plenty of usage in Philadelphia's lineup. The star forward can be deemed day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's game in Minnesota. The 76ers' offense should run through Tyrese Maxey against the Trail Blazers, and Justin Edwards will join the starting lineup in George's stead, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

  • 76ers' Paul George: Dealing with groin soreness

George is questionable for Monday's game against the Trail Blazers due to left groin soreness.

This is a new injury for George, who's appeared in 10 straight games, and Monday's outing is the first half of a back-to-back set for Philly. If he's ruled out, Guerschon Yabusele, Justin Edwards and Lonnie Walker would be candidates for increased roles.

  • 76ers' Paul George: All-around effort Wednesday

George tallied 25 points (9-20 FG, 4-9 3PT, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals over 42 minutes during Wednesday's 110-105 loss to the Knicks.

George struggled in the first half with eight points on 2-of-9 shooting, but the nine-time All-Star turned things around in the second half to help the Sixers briefly take the lead. He finished the game as the 76ers' leader in assists and steals and third in scoring behind Tyrese Maxey (30) and Kelly Oubre (27). George's only blemish in the game was his seven turnovers, which were his most of the season, but Wednesday was his best performance since returning from a five-game absence in early February due to a finger injury.
