Valentine (knee) finished Sunday's game against Windy City with 20 points (7-12 FG, 6-9 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 34 minutes.
Valentine appeared in his first action since March 19 after being held out with a knee injury, and he didn't show any signs of rust. He scored 18 of his 20 points from beyond the arc and also contributed on the boards by snagging all seven on the defensive glass. Valentine has put up 17 or more points in five straight contests.

Valentine agreed to a training camp deal with the Celtics in August but couldn't secure a roster spot. It's unclear if the organization wants him to remain with the Maine Celtics for 2022-23, but if not, Valentine will seek other opportunities elsewhere.

Valentine agreed Monday with the Celtics on a training camp deal, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
After brief stints with the Cavaliers, Knicks and Jazz during the 2021-22 season, Valentine appeared in 12 games with Boston's G League affiliate, averaging 14.6 points, 10.3 rebounds and 7.0 assists per contest. He'll now look to compete for one of the Celtics' last regular-season roster spots as the team starts to prepare for 2022-23.

Valentine logged his first G League appearance since February. Though the 28-year-old was a backup against Lakeland, Valentine's recent statistical output indicates he has what it takes to regularly start again. Valentine averaged 16.3 points and 10.8 rebounds during January.
