  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Scores just four points

Caldwell-Pope supplied four points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 33 minutes during Sunday's 100-91 loss to the Knicks. Caldwell-Pope's low usage rate has been frustrating, especially with Franz Wagner (oblique) and Paolo Banchero (oblique) sidelined. Caldwell-Pope has been ice-cold in December, posting averages of 7.6 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.4 three-pointers on 38.5 percent shooting over his last seven games.

  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Busy night defensively in win

Caldwell-Pope ended Wednesday's 106-102 victory over the 76ers with seven points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and five steals over 32 minutes. Caldwell-Pope collected a season-high five steals Wednesday, though he's been no stranger to racking up swipes for the Magic this season, picking up at least four of them in four games of his 23 games thus far. The 31-year-old veteran swingman has been a hit-or-miss fantasy option with a limited three-and-D role on offense in his first year in Orlando, but he's heating up over his past five outings, averaging 15.0 points, 2.6 steals and 3.6 three-pointers in 31.2 minutes per game while shooting 50.0 percent from beyond the arc. Caldwell-Pope's value is generally limited to triples and steals, but he's worth a look on waiver wires for those areas while he's running hot.

  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Scores season-high 24 points

Caldwell-Pope closed Wednesday's 133-119 victory over Chicago with 24 points (8-13 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and four steals across 34 minutes. Caldwell-Pope delivered his best performance of the season Wednesday -- and by a wide margin. The veteran has had significant shooting struggles all season long, but he surpassed the 10-point mark for the first time since Nov. 6 with an efficient display that included a season-high six threes made. The Magic could use Caldwell-Pope's shooting prowess from the backcourt, though. The veteran is shooting a mere 37.1 percent from the field, including 26.7 percent from three-point range.

  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Off injury report for Saturday

Caldwell-Pope (personal) is off the injury report ahead of Saturday's matchup against the Pistons. Caldwell-Pope will return to game action after a one-game absence. In the 31-year-old's last five outings, he has averaged 7.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 38.2 percent from the field across 31.2 minutes per game.

Caldwell-Pope is out for Thursday's game versus the Lakers due to personal reasons. Caldwell-Pope will miss his first game of the season Thursday due to personal reasons. • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Another tepid line in loss

Caldwell-Pope posted two points (1-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 30 minutes during Wednesday's 104-93 loss to the Clippers. Caldwell-Pope continued to have trouble finding the bottom of the basket in the loss, and it's a very troubling trend for the veteran. He's shooting a measly 33.9 percent from the floor and an even worse 22.9 percent from deep over 16 games, falling well short of previous seasonal averages. The change of scenery for the veteran has yielded few advantages to begin the season, and he'll need a turnaround to keep a role with the first unit.

  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Shooting woes continue

Caldwell-Pope supplied six points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and three assists across 25 minutes during Tuesday's 114-89 victory over Charlotte. Caldwell-Pope hasn't been able to step up with Paolo Banchero (oblique) sidelined, and the veteran guard has struggled massively with his shot from three-point range. His offensive contributions are minimal when he's not knocking down shots from beyond the arc. Through 12 games this season, Caldwell-Pope is averaging just 6.8 points per game while shooting a woeful 20.8 percent from deep.

  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Delivers four steals in loss

Caldwell-Pope contributed six points (1-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and four steals over 31 minutes during Monday's 102-86 loss to Oklahoma City. Caldwell-Pope continues to be a non-factor on the offensive end, although once again chipped in decent defensive contributions. The Magic signed Caldwell-Pope during the offseason to bolster their perimeter scoring while adding to their already strong defensive presence. To this point, he has somewhat lived up to expectations on the defensive end. As for the offensive end, they would love for him to show a little more aggression.

  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Strong defensive effort

Caldwell-Pope contributed 10 points (3-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists, two blocks and two steals across 26 minutes during Friday's 116-101 victory over the Nets. Caldwell-Pope tallied four combined defensive stats, a welcome sight for anyone rostering him in competitive leagues. It appears as though he is going to play a crucial role for his new team, albeit one with very little offensive upside. He is worth holding for another game or two, but given what we have seen thus far, he is likely to spend a lot of time on and off the fantasy waiver wire moving forward.

  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Not starting Wednesday

Caldwell-Pope won't start Wednesday's preseason game against the Spurs. Caldwell-Pope made his Magic debut Monday, posting two points and two rebounds in 17 minutes as a starter. He's not starting the second preseason contest, and he may be getting a vet rest day, though Orlando hasn't ruled him out for the contest yet.

  • Magic's Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Catches on with Orlando

Caldwell-Pope agreed Sunday with the Magic on a three-year, $66 million deal, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Caldwell-Pope is headed to Orlando after spending the last two seasons with the Nuggets. The 31-year-old wing averaged 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.6 three-pointers and 1.3 steals per game in 31.6 minutes per contest over his 76 appearances while shooting 40.6 percent from three-point range. Caldwell-Pope will probably see only a modest increase in usage in Orlando even though he's no longer playing alongside three-time MVP Nikola Jokic and another premium scorer in Jamal Murray, but he should be a notable upgrade at the shooting guard spot for a Magic squad that often started Gary Harris, Caleb Houstan or Anthony Black alongside Franz Wagner on the wing last season.

  • Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Declines player option

Caldwell-Pope declined his $15.4 million player option for the 2024-25 season Thursday and will become a free agent, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Caldwell-Pope was remarkably consistent for the Nuggets over the past two seasons, and he averaged 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 31.6 minutes per game over 76 regular-season appearances last year. He'll test the open market this summer, and he should draw interest from multiple teams.

  • Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Poor offensive showing Sunday

Caldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.

  • Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Available Sunday

Caldwell-Pope (abdomen) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against the Timberwolves. Caldwell-Pope was deemed questionable ahead of gametime due to a right abdominal contusion, but he will suit up for Sunday's matchup. Battling through the same injury in Game 3, Caldwell-Pope logged 37 minutes, so he should be in for a full workload Sunday.

  • Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Questionable for Game 4

Caldwell-Pope will land a questionable designation for a second consecutive contest due to a bruised abdomen. He was able to play through the injury in Game 3 and logged 37 minutes, so there should be a level of optimism ahead of Sunday's tilt.

  • Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Good to go Friday

Caldwell-Pope (abdomen) is good to go for Friday's Game 3 against Minnesota. Caldwell-Pope walked away from Game 2 with a mild abdomen injury, but he'll power through it in Game 3 with no word of any restrictions. Jamal Murray (calf) and Reggie Jackson (calf) will also play through their questionable tags.

  • Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Questionable for Game 3

Caldwell-Pope is questionable for Friday's Game 3 matchup with Minnesota due to a right abdominal contusion. KCP must have got popped in the mid-section during Game 2, and now he's in danger of missing Game 3. We'll have a better idea of his status based on his activity level at shootaround, but if he is forced to the sidelines, Christian Braun, Justin Holiday and Peyton Watson would be asked to pick up the slack.
