  • Solomon Hill: Waived by Knicks

Hill (hamstring) was waived by the Knicks on Wednesday. Hill was a throw-in in last week's trade that also sent Cam Reddish to New York, but the former had already been ruled out for the season after undergoing surgery on his right hamstring in early December. Since Hill was set to hit free agency this offseason, the Knicks had no incentive in having him occupying a roster spot.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Traded to Knicks

Hill (hamstring), along with Cam Reddish and a 2025 second-round pick, was traded from the Hawks to the Knicks on Thursday in exchange for a protected 2022 first-round pick and Kevin Knox, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Hill may never suit up for the Knicks, as he's out for the season and is a free agent this summer. Reddish is set to potentially see a bigger role on the Knicks, and Knox will presumably still be irrelevant in fantasy.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Done for season

The Hawks announced Wednesday that Hill suffered a right hamstring tear in Sunday's 130-127 loss to the Hornets that will require season-ending surgery. Hill will finish the 2021-22 campaign with averages of 0.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per game across 13 appearances. The veteran forward wasn't a major contributor for the Hawks, but his absence will further test Atlanta's depth with Bogdan Bogdanovic (ankle) and De'Andre Hunter (wrist) both expected to remain out for multiple weeks.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Tears hamstring, out indefinitely

Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk said Tuesday that Hill will be out "quite a while" after the forward tore his right hamstring "off the bone" in Sunday's 130-127 loss to the Hornets, Mike Conti of the Atlanta Hawks Radio Network reports. Hill sat out Monday's 121-110 win over the Timberwolves due to the injury, but the extent of the 30-year-old's hamstring issue wasn't known until Schlenk provided an update on the results of an MRI. While Hill is without an official timeline for a return, Schlenk's description of the injury suggests Hill will likely be sidelined for several weeks. Hill had filled a minor role in the Hawks' rotation over the team's last six games before he suffered the injury, averaging 8.7 minutes per contest.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Listed out Monday

Hill (hamstring) will not play Monday against the Timberwolves, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports. As expected, Hill will not be available Monday after he departed Sunday afternoon's game with a right hamstring injury. It's unclear how much time Hill could miss, but he should benefit from the Hawks having three full days off before Friday's contest against Brooklyn.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Exits with hamstring

Hill exited Sunday's game against the Hornets with a right hamstring injury and will not return. Hill exited the game late in the first quarter after seeing just four minutes of action off the bench. He should be considered day-to-day until further notice, but there's a good chance the veteran will be held out of Monday's game at Minnesota on the second half of the back-to-back.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Starting for injured Hunter

Hill will start Tuesday's matchup against the Jazz, Sarah K. Spencer of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. With De'Andre Hunter (wrist) sidelined, Hill will get his first start of the season. He's been out of the rotation for most of the season, so he could just be getting a faux start where he sees fewer minutes than multiple reserves like Cam Reddish and Danilo Gallinari.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Sitting out Wednesday

Hill will not participate in Wednesday's preseason matchup against the Cavaliers, Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com reports. Hill played 14 minutes in the preseason opener, and the veteran will get Wednesday's game off for rest. The Hawks next play Saturday against the Grizzlies.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Re-upping with Atlanta

Hill agreed Monday to a one-year contract with the Hawks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Hill is returning to the Hawks after playing a consistent role at forward last season. In 21.3 minutes per game, he averaged 4.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists. However, if the Hawks stay healthier than they did in 2020-21, Hill's role will likely take a slight dip. Either way, he won't be relevant in fantasy.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Sees 20 minutes in Game 1

Hill scored four points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt) to go with three rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 116-113 win over the Bucks. After rarely seeing the floor for Atlanta throughout the postseason, Hill found himself back in the rotation and even playing crunch-time minutes late. Most of the reasoning behind the jolt in playing time could be due to the forward's size and defensive presence which helps Atlanta defend Bucks' star Giannis Antetokounmpo. While the 29-year-old veteran is not one to score regularly or fill up the box score, he could continue to see decent minutes this series which makes him a viable value play in DFS formats.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Moving to bench

Hill will come off the bench for Monday's Game 4 against the 76ers, Brad Rowland of Locked On Hawks reports. After starting the first three games of the series, Hill will move to the bench as coach Nate McMillan inserts Kevin Huerter into the lineup at the small forward spot. Hill hit a pair of threes to provide a decent spark in Game 1, but his minutes were limited in Games 2 and 3 (22 combined) and he provided only one point and three rebounds in the pair of losses.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Starting Sunday's game

Hill will start in Game 1 against the 76ers on Sunday, Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com reports. Hill will get a spot start in Game 1 with De'Andre Hunter (knee) unable to go. The 30-year-old barely played in the first-round series against New York, averaging 6.1 minutes per game in three appearances. Hill averaged 4.5 points per game during the regular season.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Starting Thursday

Hill will start Thursday's game against the Magic. Hill will receive his first start since April 30 with Tony Snell (Achilles) on the sidelines. Despite the starting role, Hill is not typically someone to stuff the stat sheet in any significant way.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Coming off bench

Hill will come off the bench Saturday against the Bulls, Sarah K. Spencer of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. With Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) returning to the starting five, Hill will come off the bench. In 49 appearances as a reserve this season, he's averaged 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 19.3 minutes.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Contributes 14 points in loss

Hill tallied 14 points (4-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and four assists over 30 minutes in Wednesday's 127-83 loss to the 76ers. It was a forgetful night for the Hawks as a team, though the 14 points for Hill were the second most he's scored in a game this season. Hill got his 13th start of the campaign due to injuries to Kevin Huerter (shoulder) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring). Wednesday marked just the fifth time this year that Hill has scored in double figures.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Starting Wednesday

Hill will start Wednesday's matchup against the 76ers, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports. With Kevin Huerter (shoulder) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) out, Hill will get the start on the wing. In Hill's 12 previous starts this season, he's averaged 6.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 30.6 minutes.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Moves back to bench

Hill will come off the bench Monday against the Pistons, Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com reports. The 30-year-old started the last two games and averaged 5.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 35.0 minutes, but he'll shift back to the bench Monday. Hill should still see plenty of run as a reserve with Trae Young (ankle) Lou Williams (illness), De'Andre Hunter (knee) and Tony Snell (ankle) unavailable.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Enters starting lineup

Hill will start at small forward in Friday's matchup with the Heat, Brad Rowland of PeachtreeHoops.com reports. The addition of Hill to the starting lineup is due to Trae Young's (ankle) absence. He has averaged 6.9 points and 5.1 rebounds across 29.6 minutes in ten starts this season.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Scores season high

Hill finished with 18 points (6-11 FG, 6-8 3PT), five rebounds, one assist and one block in 34 minutes during a 120-109 loss to the Bucks on Thursday. With John Collins (ankle) sidelined since the end of March, Hill has taken over Collins' role in the starting rotation. The 30-year-old shot efficiently from behind the three-point arc Thursday, making six of his eight attempts and leading him to his highest scoring night of the season. Although he's only seeing extended minutes because of Collins' injury, expect the forward to still be a part of the regular rotation once the big man returns.

  • Hawks' Solomon Hill: Starting Thursday

Hill will start Thursday's game against San Antonio, Mike Conti of the Atlanta Hawks Radio Network reports. Hill will start in the place of John Collins (ankle), who has been ruled out for the next week. It marks just the second start of the season for the 29-year-old. In his last start in January, Hill managed six points, five rebounds and three assists.
