  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Sidelined for Wednesday

Sabonis (back) is out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz. Sabonis will miss his fourth straight matchup due to a back injury. After being ruled out for Wednesday, the big man will have just over another week to recover ahead of the Kings' next game against the Magic on Feb. 19.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Won't play Monday

Sabonis (back) is out for Monday against the Pelicans. Sabonis will be sidelined for a third straight game, but he continues to be listed as day-to-day. Presumably, the Kings are going to move forward with extreme caution. In the meantime, Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell are expected to hold down the fort at center.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Questionable for Monday

Sabonis (back) is questionable for Monday's game against the Pelicans. Sabonis could miss a third straight game due to a lingering back injury. If he is unable to go, Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell figure to see expanded roles.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Not playing Saturday

Sabonis (back) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers. Sabonis will miss both games of the Kings' back-to-back set while managing a lingering back injury, and his next chance to play is Monday against the Pelicans. Maxime Raynaud and rookie Dylan Cardwell will continue to operate in elevated roles for as long as Sabonis is sidelined.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Ruled out Friday

Sabonis is out for Friday's game against the Clippers with lower-back soreness. Friday is the front end of a back-to-back, so it's plausible that the star big man will be able to play Saturday against the Cavaliers. Maxime Raynaud figures to jump into the starting lineup in Sabonis' stead, setting him up to split the center minutes with fellow rookie Dylan Cardwell.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Questionable for Friday

Sabonis is questionable for Friday's game against the Clippers due to lower back soreness. Sabonis returned from a two-game absence in Wednesday's loss to the Grizzlies, but with Friday's game being the first of a back-to-back set, it wouldn't be shocking to see Sabonis hit the sidelines. If he's out, that would open up minutes for Maxime Raynaud, Precious Achiuwa and Dylan Cardwell.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Good to go

Sabonis (back) will play in Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. Sabonis will return from a two-game absence due to lower back soreness. His return will likely push Maxime Raynaud back to the second unit. Since his minutes restriction was lifted Jan. 23, Sabonis is averaging 15.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 29.3 minutes across four games.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Iffy for Wednesday

Sabonis (back) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies. Sabonis participated in Tuesday's practice but is still in jeopardy of missing his third consecutive contest due to lower-back soreness. If the big man isn't cleared to play, Maxime Raynaud would likely get the starting nod, while Dylan Cardwell could see an uptick in minutes.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Returns to practice

Sabonis (back) practiced in full Tuesday, Brenden Nunes of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports. Sabonis, who has missed the past two games for the Kings, is trending in the right direction. His status for Wednesday against Memphis will be known Tuesday evening when the Kings release their official injury report. If Sabonis is unable to play, the team will likely continue to lean on Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Won't play Sunday

Sabonis (back) is out for Sunday's game against the Wizards. Sabonis will miss a second straight game after being a late addition to the injury report due to a nagging back injury. Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell are candidates for increasing roles with Sabonis sidelined.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Late addition to injury report

Sabonis (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Wizards. Sabonis was an extremely late addition to the injury report due to lower-back soreness, which isn't a positive sign for his availability. If the veteran center isn't cleared to play, Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell would be candidates for increased playing time.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Available Sunday vs. Washington

Sabonis (knee) is not listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Wizards. Sabonis was held out of Friday's loss to the Celtics while continuing to manage a left knee injury, but the veteran center will be available for Sunday's road tilt. Since returning Jan. 16 from a 27-game absence due to a partial meniscus tear, Sabonis has averaged 12.6 points, 9.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists over 25.0 minutes per game.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Sitting out Friday

Sabonis won't play Friday against Boston due to left knee injury management. Friday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, so Sabonis will sit out for maintenance reasons. In Sabonis' absence, the Kings will likely lean more on Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell at center.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Teases triple-double in loss

Sabonis closed with 11 points (5-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds, seven assists and one block in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 103-87 loss to the Knicks. The veteran center came a few dimes shy of his first triple-double of the season. Sabonis finally appears to be close to regaining his usual form after missing nearly two months due to a knee injury he sustained in mid-November, and over the last three games (two starts), he's averaging 15.7 points, 11.7 boards, 7.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 29.7 minutes a contest while shooting 64.5 percent from the floor.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Sniffs triple-double Sunday

Sabonis finished with 12 points (6-7 FG, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 25 minutes during Sunday's 139-116 loss to the Pistons. Making his first start in five games since returning from a knee injury Jan. 16, Sabonis wound up taking an early seat in the rout but still came close to producing his first triple-double of the season. The 29-year-old center is still trying to get back to his usual form, and since rejoining the lineup he's averaging 12.6 points, 9.4 boards, 4.8 assists and 0.8 steals in 22.8 minutes.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Dominant double-double off bench

Sabonis logged 24 points (9-14 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 16 rebounds, six assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Friday's 123-118 loss to the Cavaliers. Sabonis was brought off the bench for Friday's contest while continuing to manage a left knee injury that caused him to miss 27 straight games. The veteran big man ended up leading the Kings in both points and rebounds while finishing second in assists behind Malik Monk (seven), and it was the former's first double-double since Nov. 16 against the Spurs. The fact that Sabonis played 31 minutes is an encouraging sign, and he could re-enter the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pistons.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Available for Friday

Sabonis (knee, rest) will be available for Friday's game against the Cavaliers. Sabonis was rested Wednesday against the Raptors due to left knee injury maintenance -- he had just recently returned from a 27-game absence. Sabonis' minutes have been very limited since his return, and he may face restrictions once again Friday as the Kings continue to err on the side of caution.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Getting Wednesday off

Sabonis won't play Wednesday against the Raptors due to left knee injury maintenance. Following a recent 27-game absence due to a partial meniscus tear in his left knee, Sabonis had suited up for each of the Kings' last three tilts. According to Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee, head coach Doug Christie said prior to Tuesday's 130-117 loss to the Heat that Sabonis hasn't been operating with a minutes restriction since returning, but the big man has nonetheless been used off the bench in each of those three appearances and has played no more than 21 minutes on any occasion. The Kings will now hold Sabonis out for the second leg of a back-to-back set, which seemingly refutes the notion that he's free of restrictions coming back from the injury. With Sabonis sidelined Wednesday, Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell should cover all the available minutes at center, and starting power forward Precious Achiuwa (ankle) may see his playing time trend back up if he's able to shed his questionable tag.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Grabs 10 rebounds in limited action

Sabonis chipped in six points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists across 17 minutes during Tuesday's 130-117 loss to the Heat. The Kings are taking no chances with Sabonis, and his minutes will likely be capped for at least another week. Given the conservative route taken by the team, he might be a scratch during the second half of Sacramento's back-to-back set against Toronto on Wednesday. Maxime Raynaud continues to start for the Kings, but Dylan Cardwell has been more productive off the bench.

  • Kings' Domantas Sabonis: Productive in return

Sabonis (knee) supplied 13 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 21 minutes off the bench during Friday's 128-115 victory over the Wizards. Making his return from a knee injury that had sidelined him since Nov. 16, Sabonis was eased into action as part of the second unit but still delivered a solid overall line. The 29-year-old big may not rejoin the starting five right away, but he should still be a fantasy asset in limited minutes. The next big test for Sabonis will come early next week, when the Kings plays back-to-back games at home Tuesday and Wednesday against the Heat and Raptors, respectively.
