Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Won't play Tuesday
Pritchard is out for Tuesday's game against the Spurs due to a neck spasm.
The sharpshooter is out for only the second time all year Tuesday, and he'll look to heal up in time for Thursday's showdown with the defending-champion Thunder. With Pritchard sidelined, extra field-goal opportunities should head in the direction of Baylor Scheierman and Sam Hauser on the wing.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Iffy for Tuesday
Pritchard (neck) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Spurs, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Pritchard is in jeopardy of missing just his second game of the season and his first since Jan. 17 due to neck spasms. If the 28-year-old guard is unable to suit up, Baylor Scheierman and Hugo Gonzalez would be candidates for increased playing time off the bench, while Ron Harper could enter the rotation.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Efficient performance off bench
Pritchard had 18 points (8-17 FG, 2-8 3Pt), seven rebounds, six assists and two blocks over 34 minutes during Friday's 120-100 win over the Mavericks.
Pritchard bounced back from a scoreless outing Wednesday, providing a balanced line and leading the Celtics' second unit in scoring. While his three-point shooting was slightly off, he found success inside the arc and contributed significantly on the glass and as a playmaker. Despite the return of Jayson Tatum (Achilles) to the starting lineup, Pritchard still logged 34 minutes, suggesting his role as the primary spark plug off the bench remains secure even with the team's superstar back in the mix.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Drops donut in heavy loss
Pritchard racked up zero points (0-6 FG, 0-5 3Pt) and two rebounds in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 118-89 loss to the Hornets.
Pritchard went scoreless for the second time in the past three games, continuing what has been a weird stretch. It's been night and day over his past six games, as he's scored no more than eight points in four appearances while dropping 22 and 25 points in the other two contests. He remains a clear hold, although managers would love to see him add some consistency to his game.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Big night vs. Milwaukee
Pritchard closed with 25 points (10-23 FG, 5-10 3Pt), four rebounds and nine assists in 34 minutes during Monday's 108-81 victory over the Bucks.
Pritchard responded in a big way after being held scoreless in Sunday's win over the Sixers. He was particularly dialed in from beyond the arc, where he tacked on 15 of his 25 points. Pritchard was also effective as a distributor, as he posted his highest assist total since Dec. 20.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Bounces back Friday
Pritchard posted 22 points (9-12 FG, 4-5 3Pt), six assists and one steal over 28 minutes during the Celtics' 148-111 win over the Nets on Friday.
Pritchard entered Friday's game having gone 3-for-19 from the field over his last two outings (including 1-for-8 from three-point range), but he was much better against Brooklyn. He co-led the Celtics in three-pointers made and finished as the team's third-leading scorer behind Jaylen Brown and Nikola Vucevic (28 points each). Pritchard has scored at least 20 points in 10 of his last 15 games and has embraced his return to a reserve role over the Celtics' last 10 contests after starting each of his first 48 appearances of the 2025-26 regular season.

Pritchard shot under 20 percent from the floor for the second straight game, continuing what has been an up-and-down period over the past month. In 13 games during that time, he has averaged 19.0 points, 5.3 assists and 3.0 three-pointers in 32.5 minutes per contest. While his overall numbers have been fine, four of those games have resulted in him scoring no more than eight points.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Dominates off bench again
Pritchard finished Sunday's 111-89 win over the Lakers with 30 points (10-14 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight assists and four rebounds over 38 minutes.
Pritchard was held scoreless in the first quarter, but he quickly caught fire with in the second frame with 11 points, including a buzzer-beating three to extend the Celtics' halftime lead to 10 points. He helped Boston close things out with another 11 points in the fourth quarter and finished as the team's second-leading scorer behind Jaylen Brown (32 points). It was the fifth time this season that Pritchard scored at least 30 points in a game, and the sixth-year point guard has connected on six triples in back-to-back outings. He started in each of his first 48 appearances of the 2025-26 regular season before being moved to the bench Feb. 3 following the Celtics' trade of Anfernee Simons (wrist) to the Bulls in exchange for Nikola Vucevic. However, Pritchard hasn't lost a beat in a role familiar to him, as the 2024-25 6MOTY has scored at least 24 points in six of his last seven appearances.

Pritchard came off the bench for a fifth consecutive contest and bounced back in a major way after scoring just six points on 2-of-9 shooting from the field in Sunday's loss to New York. The 28-year-old guard led all players in scoring, reaching the 20-point threshold for the fourth time in his last five outings. He also led Boston's bench in assists and has dished out at least seven dimes in four of those five games. During that span, he has averaged 21.8 points, 6.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per contest.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Fuels Boston's comeback
Pritchard registered 24 points (8-15 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one assist, one rebound and one steal over 36 minutes during the Celtics' 98-96 win over the Heat on Friday.
The Celtics struggled offensively during the first half, with Jaylen Brown being the only player to score more than five points over the first two quarters. Pritchard and the rest of Brown's teammates were much better in the second half, with the former scoring 19 of his 24 points over the final two frames to help Boston overcome a 22-point deficit for the win. Pritchard has come off the bench in each of the Celtics' last three games after being a starter prior to that, but he's proven unfazed by the move while scoring at least 24 points in each of those contests.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Another strong bench showing
Pritchard finished Wednesday's 114-93 win over the Rockets with 27 points (9-20 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven assists and three rebounds over 33 minutes.
Pritchard came off the Celtics' bench for a second consecutive game despite Jaylen Brown (hamstring/knee) being ruled out for Wednesday's contest. Pritchard was still effective in his bench role, connecting on five three-pointers or more for the ninth time this season while finishing as the Celtics' second-leading scorer behind Derrick White (28 points). Pritchard -- who won the 2024-25 Sixth Man of the Year award -- has scored 53 points over his last two outings, and he gives the Celtics a much-needed ball handler off the bench after Boston shipped Anfernee Simons to Chicago on Tuesday in exchange for Nikola Vucevic.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Scores game-high 29 points
Pritchard scored 29 points (12-16 FG, 5-6 3Pt), two rebounds and eight assists across 33 minutes in Friday's 112-93 win over the Kings.
Pritchard was on the verge of recording what would have been his fifth game with at least 30 points this season, but he still finished as the game's highest scorer by a wide margin. Pritchard has cleared the 20-point mark in three of his last five outings and should continue as one of the Celtics' go-to options on offense as long as he continues to carry a hot hand.

Pritchard produced 32 points (13-24 FG, 6-11 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists across 40 minutes during Friday's 130-126 double-overtime victory over the Nets.
The six made threes tied Pritchard's second-best performance from behind the arc this season. Friday's win marked his fourth time scoring 30 or more points this year. His most timely make was in the first overtime period when he drained a triple that set up Hugo Gonzalez's game-tying shot to extend the game again.
