  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Won't return in 2025-26

Hunter is set to undergo season-ending eye surgery, Chris Haynes of NBA TV reports. Hunter managed to suit up for only two games for Sacramento before opting to undergo a season-ending procedure on his eye, but this likely won't be something that impacts his status for next year's training camp. He will end his 2025-26 campaign with averages of 13.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 triples in 26.1 minutes per game across 45 regular-season outings (25 starts) between Cleveland and Sacramento. With the 28-year-old forward sidelined, Nique Clifford and Daeqwon Plowden are candidates for increased playing time.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Won't play Saturday

Hunter (eye) has been ruled out for Saturday's game in San Antonio. Saturday will mark Hunter's fifth consecutive game on the inactive list, and for now, he should be considered questionable for Monday's meeting with Memphis. Nique Clifford and Daeqwon Plowden will continue to pick up the slack in Hunter's absence.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Out for Thursday

Hunter (eye) is listed as out for Thursday's game against the Magic. Hunter is battling a left eye injury that cost him the final three games before the All-Star break and will keep him sidelined coming out of the pause. It's unclear how close he is to returning, but his absence will likely mean more opportunities for Nique Clifford and Daeqwon Plowden. Hunter's next chance to play will come Saturday against the Spurs.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Out through All-Star break

Hunter (eye) will be reevaluated in about 10 days, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. Hunter has been diagnosed with iritis after being hit in the eye during Friday's game against the Clippers, putting him out until after the All-Star break. Daeqwon Plowden and Nique Clifford are candidates for increased minutes with Hunter sidelined.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Won't play Saturday

Hunter (eye) will not play Saturday against the Cavaliers. Hunter picked up a left eye injury Friday against the Clippers and was unable to return to the contest. With Hunter sidelined, more minutes will be available for Daeqwon Plowden and Nique Clifford on the wings.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Exits early with eye injury

Hunter won't return to Friday's game against the Clippers due to a left eye injury, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. He'll finish with six points (1-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and one rebound across 25 minutes. Hunter checked out of the contest with 2:06 left in the third quarter, and after a brief trip to the locker room, the Kings ruled him out for the remainder of the contest. The 28-year-old forward faces a short turnaround to recover from the eye injury, with the Kings returning to action Saturday versus the Cavaliers.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Struggles in team debut

Hunter produced nine points (3-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 129-125 loss to the Grizzlies. Hunter failed to impress during his Sacramento debut, continuing what had been a rough finish to his tenure in Cleveland. After the Cavaliers moved him to a bench role in mid-December, Hunter averaged 12.3 points (on 41.6 percent shooting from the field), 4.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.4 three-pointers and 0.7 steals in 23.4 minutes per game over a stretch of 20 contests before he was dealt to Sacramento. Hunter immediately moved into the starting five for the Kings and took on more minutes than he had been receiving with the Cavaliers, but he showed why his overall fantasy impact in category leagues remains limited when his shots aren't falling in. Though his value should rise with the move to Sacramento, Hunter still looks to be more of a streaming option for points, free-throw percentage and three-pointers in most 12-team leagues rather than a must-roster player.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Starting in Sacramento debut

Hunter is in the Kings' starting lineup against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, Frankie Cartoscelli of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports. Wednesday will be Hunter's first look in a Kings uniform after he was acquired from the Cavaliers on Saturday. The veteran forward's insertion into the starting lineup will result in Precious Achiuwa moving to the bench.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Ready for Sacramento debut

Hunter isn't listed on the injury report and is expected to make his debut with the Kings on Wednesday against the Grizzlies. Hunter didn't join the team in time to play in Sunday's game against Washington after being traded from the Cavs on Sturday, but he's expected to be on the court for Wednesday's clash. The Virginia product averaged 14.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 43 games this season with Cleveland.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Won't play Sunday

Hunter has yet to join the Kings and won't play in Sunday's game against the Wizards, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports. Hunter was traded from Cleveland to Sacramento on Saturday in a three-team deal involving the Bulls, and he will have to wait to make his Kings debut. Head coach Doug Christie said Sunday that the plan is for Hunter to practice with the team Tuesday and play against the Grizzlies on Wednesday, per Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee. Over 43 regular-season appearances with Cleveland in 2025-26, Hunter averaged 13.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 26.2 minutes per contest.

  • Kings' De'Andre Hunter: Dealt to Sacramento

The Kings acquired Hunter on Saturday in a three-team deal involving the Cavaliers and Bulls, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. After a couple weeks of speculation, Hunter will move on from the Cavaliers and will fill an obvious need at forward for Sacramento. As part of the deal, the Bulls will acquire Dario Saric and two second-round draft picks, while the Cavaliers will receive Dennis Schroder, Emanuel Miller and Keon Ellis. With the move to Sacramento, Hunter could see a bump in fantasy appeal with his new team after he had moved into a bench role with Cleveland in mid-December. Over his 43 appearances with Cleveland this season, Hunter averaged 13.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 26.2 minutes per contest.

  • Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Paces second unit with 19 points

Hunter (knee) posted 19 points (7-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 21 minutes Wednesday in the Cavaliers' 129-99 win over the Lakers. Hunter had been sidelined for the Cavaliers' previous two games due to right knee soreness, but he returned to action Wednesday and excelled as the team's go-to scoring option on the second unit. Prior to getting hurt, Hunter had been held under 20 minutes in his most recent two appearances, but the Cavaliers could call upon him to handle a larger role now that the team has a greater need for secondary scoring behind Donovan Mitchell while Evan Mobley (calf) and Darius Garland (toe) remain sidelined. Hunter could be in store for added usage in the short term as a result, but beyond potentially being a solid source of points, his production in other categories typically leaves much to be desired.

  • Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Expected to play Wednesday

Hunter is probable for Wednesday's game against the Lakers with right knee soreness. Hunter is expected to return from a two-game absence Wednesday. With Evan Mobley (calf) out of the mix, the swingman could see some extra shot attempts fall his direction. Hunter has averaged 12.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.8 three-pointers in 22.0 minutes per tilt in his last five games.

  • Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Questionable for Monday

Hunter (knee) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Magic. Hunter is still dealing with right knee soreness and might miss a second consecutive contest. If the 28-year-old forward remains sidelined, Nae'Qwan Tomlin and Jaylon Tyson would be candidates to see an uptick in minutes.

  • Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Won't play Saturday

Hunter (knee) won't play Saturday versus the Magic, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Knee soreness will force Hunter to the sidelines for Saturday's game, and for now, he should be considered questionable for Monday's rematch with the Magic. Expect more minutes for Nae'Qwan Tomlin and Larry Nance with Hunter unavailable Saturday.

  • Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Now questionable with knee injury

Hunter is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Magic due to right knee soreness. It's not a good sign that Hunter was a late addition to Saturday's injury report, and his official status will be known closer to the 7:00 p.m. ET tipoff. Craig Porter and Lonzo Ball would be in line for more minutes off the bench if Hunter is unable to play.

  • Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Struggles in victory

Hunter notched four points (1-6 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 13 minutes during Wednesday's 94-87 victory over the Hornets. Hunter was unable to have a positive impact, scoring no more than four points for the third time in the past six games. Despite a relatively consistent role, Hunter has been a non-factor for the majority of the season, currently sitting outside the top-200 players in standard leagues. At best, he can be streamed in for points and threes.

  • Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Improved performance Wednesday

Hunter notched 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 133-107 win over the 76ers. Hunter scored 17 points in the win, the most he has scored in his past 11 games. His red-hot start to the season is now a mere memory, having struggled to produce at a standard league level for the past month. In 14 games during that time, he has averaged 11.8 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers, leaving him outside the top 200.

  • Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Poor showing in loss

Hunter totaled two points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and three assists over 18 minutes during Monday's 123-112 loss to the Jazz. Hunter continues to take a backseat for the Cavaliers with Sam Merrill and Jaylon Tyson comfortably ahead of him. To make matters worse for Hunter, Nae'Qwan Tomlin is trending up as well. With the Cavaliers struggling, Hunter may find himself on the trade block.

  • Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Effective in 22 minutes

Hunter logged 12 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds and two assists over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 120-116 victory over the Pacers. Hunter didn't see a big workload Tuesday, and that's been the case a lot lately. With the Cavaliers mostly healthy again, Hunter may struggle to be relevant outside of deeper formats. The emergence of Sam Merrill and Jaylon Tyson has really kept Hunter's appeal in check this season.
