  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Doesn't do much over 21 minutes

Claxton racked up eight points (4-6 FG, 0-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes during Thursday's 108-97 loss to the Hawks. This was Claxton's second straight game without any defensive statistics and his fourth consecutive single-digit scoring performance. He's been quiet over that four-game stretch, posting meager averages of 5.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Season-low two points

Claxton chipped in two points (1-5 FG), six rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal across 28 minutes during Saturday's 107-105 win over the Pistons. Claxton was invisible on the offensive end, going for a season-low two points. Although he was able to somewhat salvage his evening with three blocks, Claxton's overall production of late has been mostly underwhelming. In 10 appearances over the past month, he has been outside the top 200 in standard leagues, averaging 13.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 0.5 blocks during that stretch.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Sniffs double-double

Claxton chipped in 16 points (6-15 FG, 4-8 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal across 28 minutes during Thursday's 126-110 loss to the Heat. Claxton was limited to just four points and five rebounds in Tuesday's game against the Heat, and while the Nets suffered another blowout loss, at least Claxton had a better performance this time around. With double-digit points in all but one of his last 11 appearances, Claxton should continue to handle a decent workload on offense for Brooklyn. That, coupled with his starting role and consistent playing time, makes him an interesting frontcourt option across all formats.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Cleared to play

Claxton (thumb) is good to go for Tuesday's game against Miami. After missing Sunday's game against the Cavaliers, Claxton is no longer on the injury report and is set to return. With this news, Day'Ron Sharpe's floor will be lower in fantasy hoops as he likely retreats to the bench.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: On track for Tuesday

Claxton (thumb) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Heat, Collin Helwig of NetsDaily reports. Claxton was held out of Sunday's matchup against the Cavaliers due to a right thumb injury, but the team expects him back in action Tuesday. Expect official confirmation on his availability closer to tipoff.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Not playing Sunday

Claxton (thumb) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers. Claxton popped up on Saturday's injury report due to a right thumb sprain, and the injury is severe enough for him to miss Sunday's contest. Day'Ron Sharpe should serve as the Nets' starting center against the Cavaliers in Claxton's absence. Claxton's next chance to play is Tuesday against Miami.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Nursing thumb injury

Claxton is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers due to a right thumb sprain, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports. Claxton may have picked up the injury during the Nets' 148-111 loss to the Celtics on Friday, when he logged 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 FT), four rebounds and two assists over 23 minutes. Day'Ron Sharpe would likely serve as the Nets' starting center if Claxton is not cleared to play Sunday.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Stuffs stat sheet in loss

Claxton registered 16 points (7-10 FG, 2-3 FT), four rebounds, nine assists and three steals across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 123-114 loss to the Mavericks. Claxton produced a strong all-around fantasy performance, matching his season high with three steals while narrowly missing a double-double with 16 points and nine assists, his highest total since Dec. 6 against the Pelicans. The 26-year-old center has scored in double figures in all seven games in February, averaging 14.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 0.9 steals over 27.3 minutes per game.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Thriving as passer in seventh season

Claxton (ankle/hip) contributed 15 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Sunday's 115-104 loss to Atlanta. Claxton returned from a three-game absence due to a right ankle sprain and a sore right hip and produced a respectable stat line in the loss. After setting a career high with 2.2 assists per game across 70 contests in 2024-25, the big man has quietly pushed his average up to 4.0 per game through 50 outings this season.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Not playing Friday

Claxton (ankle) is out for Friday's game against the Thunder, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports. Claxton missed the first leg of the back-to-back set Thursday, and this will be his third consecutive absence. The big man will aim to return against the Hawks on Sunday. With Claxton out, Day'Ron Sharpe should continue to start at center.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Out with ankle issue

Claxton won't play Thursday against the Cavaliers due to a right ankle sprain, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports. Claxton had missed the Nets' final game prior to the All-Star break due to right hip soreness, but after recovering from that injury, he rolled his right ankle at practice Wednesday and will miss another contest. In Claxton's absence, Day'Ron Sharpe will start at center and could be in line for a 30-plus-minute role if he's able to stay out of foul trouble.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Won't suit up Wednesday

Claxton (hip) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports. Claxton is dealing with right hip soreness and will miss just his third game of the season. The big man will have the All-Star break to recover, as his next opportunity to play will come Feb. 19 against the Cavaliers. With Claxton unavailable, Day'Ron Sharpe will likely get the starting nod, while Danny Wolf could see increased playing time.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Downgraded to doubtful

Claxton (hip) has been downgraded to doubtful for Wednesday's matchup with Indiana. Claxton has missed only two games all season but is in severe danger of missing a third, as his updated status indicates he will likely be sidelined against the Pacers. If Claxton officially can't go, Day'Ron Sharpe would be the biggest beneficiary, and Danny Wolf would also likely see some increased run as well.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Questionable for Wednesday

Claxton is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers with right hip soreness, Sharif Phillips-Keaton of USA Today reports. This is a new injury for Claxton, and the Nets may opt to rest him against the struggling Pacers as a precaution. If he sits, Day'Ron Sharpe would likely get the start at center for Brooklyn.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Season-high 28 points

Claxton provided 28 points (12-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-6 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Monday's 123-115 victory over the Bulls. Claxton took advantage of the fact that Chicago is without a proven NBA center, scoring a season-high 28 points, while also recording his first double-double in his past 22 appearances. Despite a consistent role, Claxton's overall value has taken a hit of late, thanks largely to his defensive contributions being less than adequate. In fact, he has now failed to record a single block in five straight games. He remains a must-roster player, albeit one with a slightly limited ceiling.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Posts 14 points in loss

Claxton racked up 14 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-5 FT), six rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes during Thursday's 118-98 loss to Orlando. Claxton produced another mediocre line Thursday, and he has been averaging less production across every major category since Jan. 1 when compared with his season-long numbers. While he's a versatile contributor, his overall output has dipped in recent weeks, and it's possible the Nets shut him down eventually as they play for lottery odds.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Teases triple-double in loss

Claxton notched 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and one block over 31 minutes during Thursday's 107-103 loss to the Nuggets. The 26-year-old center came close to producing his third career triple-double, with the previous two both coming this season. Claxton has delivered solid secondary numbers since returning to the starting lineup Jan. 9, and over the last 12 games, he's averaging 10.0 points, 6.7 boards, 4.2 assists and 1.6 blocks in 28.9 minutes a contest while shooting 55.9 percent from the floor.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Swats two shots off bench

Claxton provided seven points (3-4 FG, 1-4 FT), six rebounds and two blocks across 23 minutes during Wednesday's 104-103 overtime loss to Orlando. Claxton's upside is muted in the reserve role, but head coach Jordi Fernandez said that Claxton's minutes restrictions would be lifted his next time out, so we'd expect him to return to the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Clippers. Day'Ron Sharpe finished with five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, two steals and five turnovers across 30 minutes in the one-point loss.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Coming off bench Wednesday

Claxton is not in the Nets' starting lineup against the Magic on Wednesday. Claxton will operate under a minutes restriction and in a bench role in his return from a two-game absence due to personal reasons. Day'Ron Sharpe will draw the start for a third consecutive game.

  • Nets' Nic Claxton: Will have minutes restriction

Claxton will have his minutes monitored for Wednesday's game versus the Magic, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports. Head coach Jordi Fernandez said that while he'll be watching Claxton's workload in his return from a two-game absence Wednesday, he doesn't anticipate Claxton having any restrictions for Friday's game against the Clippers. Even with a minutes restriction, Claxton is a must-play option in standard fantasy leagues.
