Porter (rest) will not play in Sunday's preseason game against the Celtics in Abu Dhabi, Harrison Wind of TheDNVR.com reports.
Porter will join Aaron Gordon (undisclosed), Russell Westbrook (rest) and DeAndre Jordan (rest) -- none of whom are expected to miss any time to begin the regular season -- on the bench Sunday. Porter started in Friday's 107-103 preseason loss to the Celtics, during which he saw 15 minutes of action while scoring 12 points and going 5-for-8 from the field. The 26-year-old's next chance to suit up will come next Sunday against the Suns.

Nuggets' Michael Porter: Under minutes restriction Friday
Porter is expected to receive limited playing time in Friday's preseason opener against Boston, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports.
With 19 players able to suit up, coach Mike Malone said Friday that the starting unit of Porter, Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray will receive limited run.
