Nets' Michael Porter: Won't play Friday
Porter has been ruled out for Friday's game in Utah due to personal reasons, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
Friday's game is the second of a back-to-back set, so Porter likely would have been rested anyway, but instead, he'll skip the game for personal reasons. With both Porter and Noah Clowney (back) unavailable for Friday's game, Danny Wolf and Egor Demin could see a sizeable uptick in usage and Drake Powell could start. Porter's next chance to play will come Sunday in Detroit.

Nets' Michael Porter: Rolls to 38-point night
Porter recorded 38 points (13-28 FG, 7-15 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks across 37 minutes during Thursday's 107-103 loss to the Nuggets.
Porter was highly effective from beyond the arc Thursday, which allowed the Nets to stay competitive into the fourth quarter even after falling behind early by 19 points. He tacked on 21 of his 38 points from deep and put the finishing touches on his big night by recording his first double-double since Jan. 4. Porter has now put up 30 or more points in three of his last four matchups.

Nets' Michael Porter: Bounces back with massive total
Porter ended Tuesday's 106-102 loss to the Suns with 36 points (15-24 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists and three steals over 37 minutes.
Porter's last two games are a tale of opposites. After posting his worst scoring total of the season against the Clippers, he turned around and recorded a season-high 36 points in the narrow loss to the Suns. Porter's seasonal average of 25.2 points has been exceeded 20 times this season. Although his success hasn't translated into more wins for the Nets, he has been one of the most consistent fantasy performers in the Eastern Conference.

Nets' Michael Porter: Significant regression in loss
Porter finished Sunday's 126-89 loss to the Clippers with nine points (3-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and four assists across 22 minutes.
Porter logged his lowest scoring total of the season during the blowout loss. He failed to get anything going and was eventually pulled as the Clippers ran away with the game. Porter is one of the Nets' most dependable options, and their fortunes often rely on the seventh-year pro's success or failure. Porter is currently in high demand on the trade market, but the Nets will want a hefty player-pick package in exchange for his services.

Nets' Michael Porter: Stuffs stat sheet in defeat
Porter ended with 30 points (9-19 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 8-9 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one block across 42 minutes during Friday's 130-126 double-overtime loss to Boston.
After scoring only 12 points in his last game, Porter got back on track against the Celtics while delivering his 11th game of 30 or more points. It was a bounce back performance for Brooklyn as a team after Wednesday's 54-point loss to the Knicks.

Nets' Michael Porter: Matches season low in scoring
Porter contributed 12 points (4-14 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 120-66 loss to the Knicks.
MPJ was unable to get going against the Knicks, as was the case for his team as a whole in a massive loss to New York. It's another reminder of the leap Porter has taken this year. Last season in Denver, an occasional 12-point outing was normal. This season, 12 points matches MPJ's lowest point total on the year, which has now happened on three different occasions.

Nets' Michael Porter: Good to go Monday
Porter (rest) will play Monday against the Suns.
After getting the night off Sunday against the Bulls for maintenance, Porter is no longer on the injury report. With several Nets sitting out Monday with various injuries and maintenance reasons, Porter's usage could be through the roof Monday.

Nets' Michael Porter: Won't play vs. Bulls
Porter will be out for rest purposes Sunday against Chicago, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reports.
Porter will be shut down for a game after averaging 24.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists over his last three games. Terance Mann should be in for a large uptick in playing time with Porter sidelined.

Nets' Michael Porter: Paces Brooklyn in win
Porter provided 26 points (9-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal across 32 minutes in Friday's 112-109 win over the Bulls.
Although Porter posted 20 points in Wednesday's loss to New Orleans, he shot just 35.0 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point range. The 27-year-old forward turned in a much more efficient performance Friday and led all players in points and triples. The Missouri product has reached the 20-point threshold in three straight games, connecting on at least four triples in each of them. Additionally, he grabbed at least seven rebounds for a third consecutive contest.

Nets' Michael Porter: Drops team-high 20 in loss
Porter closed Wednesday's 116-113 loss to the Pelicans with 20 points (7-20 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and one assist across 32 minutes.
The 27-year-old forward led the Nets in scoring once again, as he scored 20-plus points for the ninth time in his last 10 games. Over that stretch, Porter is averaging 26.1 points, 7.8 boards, 4.3 threes, 3.4 assists and 1.4 steals while shooting 40.6 percent from beyond the arc, keeping his trade value high.

Nets' Michael Porter: Catches fire from three
Porter tallied 28 points (9-17 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Monday's 113-105 loss to Dallas.
Porter looked like a completely different player after going 0-for-9 from deep in his last game Friday against the Clippers. He also made an impact on the boards, falling one rebound shy of a double-double. The one knock on Porter's performance Monday is that he turned the ball over a team-high six times, which isn't typically a problematic area for the 27-year-old.

Nets' Michael Porter: Good to go Monday
Porter (rest) is good to go for Monday's game against the Mavericks.
Porter is set to return after getting a maintenance day Sunday against the Grizzlies for the front end of the back-to-back set. With several teams in pursuit of Porter ahead of the trade deadline, the Nets will likely handle the forward with caution.

Nets' Michael Porter: Resting Sunday
Porter (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies.
Porter will sit for the front end of the Nets' back-to-back set Sunday, but he'll likely be available for Monday's road tilt against the Mavericks. Danny Wolf and Cam Thomas are the top candidates to enter the Nets' starting lineup due to the absences of Porter, Drake Powell (knee) and Ziaire Williams (illness).

Nets' Michael Porter: Busy on defense again
Porter notched 18 points (7-20 FG, 0-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, six assists, one block and four steals across 33 minutes during Friday's 121-105 loss to the Clippers.
After recording three steals Wednesday against the Magic, Porter upped his defensive impact Friday as he set a new season high in the category. The 27-year-old forward has had a breakout in his first campaign for Brooklyn, and over 13 games since the beginning of December he's averaged 27.8 points, 7.5 boards, 4.5 threes, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 43.3 percent from beyond the arc.
