  • 76ers' Jalen Hood-Schifino: Inactive Sunday

Hood-Schifino (coach's decision) will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Hawks, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports.

With Philadelphia being ravaged by injuries, Hood-Schifino has made five straight appearances, averaging 9.0 points, 2.8 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 24.2 minutes per game. Hood-Schifino can be active for just eight of the 76ers' remaining games this season while he's signed to a two-way deal, so Philadelphia is seemingly keeping him inactive Sunday to preserve his games count. After Sunday, the 76ers will have just 11 games remaining on the season, so Hood-Schifino should be available for the majority of those contests.

  • 76ers' Jalen Hood-Schifino: Best outing of season off bench

Hood-Schifino produced 19 points (6-11 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block across 23 minutes during Sunday's 130-125 win over the Mavericks.

Hood-Schifino put together his best outing of the season Sunday, shining off the bench by posting a team- and season-high number of made threes and coming up one point short of the 20-point mark. Hood-Schifino set a new season high in scoring as well, previously holding a season-high total of five points set the game prior.

  • 76ers' Jalen Hood-Schifino: Drops 30 points in G League win

Hood-Schifino contributed 30 points (12-19 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five assists and two rebounds across 26 minutes during Thursday's 126-122 G League win over the College Park Skyhawks.

Hood-Schifino posted his second consecutive contest with 30 or more points over three G League outings with the Blue Coats. The 21-year-old signed a two-way deal with the Sixers in late February, though he has yet to debut for the parent club. However, the Sixers are dealing with a litany of injuries, which could result in Hood-Schifino receiving minutes at the NBA level.

  • 76ers' Jalen Hood-Schifino: Inks two-way deal with Philadelphia

The 76ers signed Hood-Schifino to a two-way contract Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Hood-Schifino was waived by the Jazz on Feb. 6 after being traded by the Lakers as part of the three-way deal that saw Anthony Davis go to the Mavericks and Luka Doncic being sent to the Lakers. When he was with the Lakers, Hood-Schifino appeared in only two games due to a hamstring injury, but he has a chance to see some minutes in a rotational role with the 76ers.

  • Jalen Hood-Schifino: Waived by Utah

The Jazz waived Hood-Schifino on Thursday, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

The Jazz are also waiving Josh Richardson, but they will hold onto KJ Martin. Hood-Schifino, who made just two appearances this season due to a left hamstring injury, could draw interest on the open market for teams looking to give the No. 17 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft another chance.

  • Jazz's Jalen Hood-Schifino: Won't go Wednesday

Hood-Schifino (not with team) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Golden State.

Hood-Schifino will remain on the shelf after the Jazz acquired him via trade Saturday. The 21-year-old hasn't played at the NBA level since Dec. 1 due to a left hamstring strain, though the fact he is not listed on the injury report with the hamstring injury suggests that he could return to action as soon as Friday's matchup against the Suns.

  • Jazz's Jalen Hood-Schifino: Not playing Monday vs. Indiana

Hood-Schifino (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pacers, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Hood-Schifino was part of Saturday night's three-team trade between the Mavericks, Lakers and Jazz, which saw him get sent to Utah along with two 2025 second-round picks. Hood-Schifino has been out of action since early December due to a left hamstring strain, but once he's cleared to return he should have a shot at earning meaningful minutes in the Jazz's rotation. His next opportunity to play will be Wednesday against the Warriors.

  • Jazz's Jalen Hood-Schifino: Traded to Utah

The Jazz acquired Hood-Schifino (hamstring) and two 2025 second-round picks on Saturday as part of a three-team deal involving the Lakers and Mavericks, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. The Lakers acquired Luka Doncic (calf), Maxi Kleber (foot) and Markieff Morris from the Mavericks, while Dallas acquired Anthony Davis (abdomen), Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick from Los Angeles.

Utah didn't give up anything in the deal and will receive a pair of second-round picks as a result of its willingness to take on the money remaining on the rookie contract of Hood-Schifino, who is scheduled for free agency this offseason after the Lakers declined his third-year option for 2025-26 in October. The 21-year-old guard will theoretically have a clearer path to playing time with a rebuilding Jazz squad than he did with the Lakers, but Utah is still unlikely to view Hood-Schifino as a key piece after he did little to distinguish himself as an NBA-caliber player through his first one-plus seasons in the league. Before getting on the court with Utah or its G League affiliate, Hood-Schifino will first have to recover from the left hamstring strain that has kept him out of action since early December.

  • Lakers' Jalen Hood-Schifino: Ruled out against Washington

Hood-Schifino (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Wizards, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.

Hood-Schifino will miss a 26th straight game Thursday for the Lakers as he continues to deal with a left hamstring strain. The second-year guard hasn't made an impact on the floor when made available, so this has little impact from a fantasy perspective.

  • Lakers' Jalen Hood-Schifino: Another absence coming

Hood-Schifino (hamstring) will not play Tuesday against the 76ers, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.

Hood-Schifino has appeared in just three games all season, with one coming at the G League level. He hasn't seen action for the Lakers since Dec. 1 and remains without a clear timeline to return from a left hamstring strain, but the second-year guard won't be part of the rotation whenever he's cleared to play.
