  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Ruled out for Sunday

Buzelis (illness) won't play Sunday versus the Suns, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports. Buzelis is feeling under the weather and won't be able to give it a go Sunday, and for now, he should be considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the Wizards. With Buzelis out, there will be more minutes available for Leonard Miller, Patrick Williams and Collin Sexton.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Dealing with illness

Buzelis (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns. After not being listed on the Bulls' initial injury report, Buzelis has been downgraded to questionable after presumably waking up under the weather. If he's sidelined, Isaac Okoro, Patrick Williams and Leonard Miller would all be candidates for increased roles.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Poor performance in loss

Buzelis closed Friday's 136-96 loss to the Knicks with 11 points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT) and six rebounds across 23 minutes. Buzelis is the future of the Bulls' franchise, but he didn't look the part in this 40-point loss to the Knicks. The young forward has taken a big leap in his game in his second season in The Association, so one bad game won't erase what he's done throughout the current campaign. The recent performances are a bit worrisome from a fantasy perspective, however, as Buzelis has failed to surpass the 15-point mark in three of his last five appearances despite maintaining his starting role.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Poor shooting performance

Buzelis finished with 12 points (5-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal across 28 minutes during Monday's 129-114 loss to the Spurs. Buzelis took a huge step back compared to his recent performances, and this was one of his worst three-point shooting performances since the All-Star break. Buzelis has been struggling with his outside shot of late and has gone 5-for-23 from deep in his last three outings. That said, even if he struggles from deep, Buzelis does enough in other categories, and usually scores at a strong pace, so fantasy managers can overlook those problems and continue to trust him in fantasy playoffs.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Keeps rolling in win

Buzelis ended Monday's 132-124 victory over the Rockets with 23 points (8-16 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 35 minutes. With Nikola Vucevic (finger) in Boston, Buzelis continues to handle a boost in usage and should continue to play a featured role going forward. Buzelis has averaged 23.1 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.1 steals over 34.5 minutes per tilt in his last eight games, scoring at least 18 points seven times during this stretch.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Scores 19 in blowout defeat

Buzelis notched 19 points (6-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 139-109 loss to the Raptors. The Bulls looked completely overmatched in a 30-point loss to the Raptors, but Buzelis was one of the few standout performers for Chicago. The second-year forward has recorded at least 18 points and seven rebounds in his last three games, and he's averaging a strong 22.5 points per game since the beginning of March, making him one of the top scoring options for the Bulls alongside Josh Giddey. Buzelis' growth in his second year in the league has been notable, and the young forward seems ready to handle a bigger role on a steady basis in the Bulls' offensive scheme.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Makes history in win

Buzelis supplied 29 points (12-22 FG, 5-13 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 32 minutes during Monday's 132-107 win over the Grizzlies. Buzelis put together another commanding performance, becoming the first Bulls player to record at least 100 three-pointers and 100 blocks in a single season. He is also now one of only two players in the league to have recorded at least 100 three-pointers and 100 blocks this season, the other being Victor Wembanyama. From a fantasy perspective, Buzelis has been a borderline top-40 player in 12 games over the past month, averaging 20.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.7 blocks and 3.1 three-pointers.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Delivers 29 points in victory

Buzelis finished with 29 points (12-22 FG, 5-13 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 32 minutes during Monday's 132-107 win over Memphis. Buzelis continues to let it fly from beyond the arc and has now attempted double-digit triples in four straight matchups. He hasn't been particularly effective from deep during this stretch, but he has managed to drill five treys on two separate occasions. Buzelis also responded well after failing to record a defensive stat in his previous appearance by swatting three shots Monday, marking the second time he's done so through seven March showings.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Getting green light vs. LA

Buzelis (ankle) has been cleared to play Thursday against the Lakers. Buzelis entered the day with a probable tag and has since been upgraded to available. He's fresh off a career-high 41-point night Tuesday in a 130-124 overtime victory against Golden State.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Tabbed probable for Thursday

Buzelis is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Lakers due to a sprained right ankle. Buzelis popped up on the injury report for the opening leg of a back-to-back set due to an ankle injury. The second-year forward, who's fresh off his first 40-point game, is expected to play through the issue Thursday night.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Available Sunday

Buzelis (ankle) will play in Sunday's game against the Kings. Buzelis missed Thursday's game with an ankle injury, but he will return to action Sunday. Over his last five appearances, he holds averages of 19.6 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 29.4 minutes per contest.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Iffy to face Sacramento

Buzelis (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Kings. Buzelis is in danger of missing a second consecutive contest due to a right ankle sprain. If the second-year forward is ultimately ruled out, Leonard Miller and Guerschon Yabusele would be candidates to see an uptick in minutes, especially if Patrick Williams (quadriceps) is downgraded from questionable to out.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Won't go Thursday

Buzelis (ankle) is out for Thursday's game against the Suns. Buzelis will miss his first game of the season after picking up an ankle injury in Chicago's previous matchup Tuesday against Oklahoma City. Jalen Smith (calf) and Patrick Williams (quadriceps) are also out, so it'll be up to Leonard Miller, Lachlan Olbrich and Nick Richards to step up in the frontcourt.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Listed as questionable

Buzelis (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Suns. Buzelis didn't return to Tuesday's loss to Oklahoma City due to an ankle sprain, and the forward is considered day-to-day. Additionally, Josh Giddey (ankle) is also questionable for Chicago. If Buzelis ends up sitting, the Bulls could turn to Leonard Miller with so many injuries on the roster.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Fails to return Tuesday

Buzelis didn't return to Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City due to an ankle sprain, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports. He ended with 11 points (3-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes. Buzelis went down near the end of the third quarter and wasn't able to return after being diagnosed with an ankle sprain. It remains to be seen whether he'll be ready to play Thursday in Phoenix, though he'll presumably be re-evaluated within the next day or so to determine his availability moving forward.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Hits for 20 in big win

Buzelis amassed 20 points (7-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 32 minutes during Sunday's 120-97 victory over the Bucks. The second-year forward reached 20 points for a third straight game while making an impact at the defensive end once again. Over his last 11 games, Buzelis is averaging 18.2 points, 5.9 boards, 3.1 threes, 2.3 assists and 1.9 blocks.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Productive in loss

Buzelis supplied 20 points (6-16 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 6-9 FT), seven rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 36 minutes during Thursday's 121-112 loss to the Trail Blazers. Buzelis put together another strong showing offensively and led the Bulls in scoring, but it wasn't enough to prevent Chicago from dropping another game. The second-year forward has been one of the few bright spots for the Bulls lately, as the team now owns an 0-11 record in February. Buzelis should continue to see opportunities to shine in the starting lineup.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Chips in team-high 15 in loss

Buzelis racked up 15 points (4-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT) and four rebounds across 26 minutes during Sunday's 105-99 loss to the Knicks. The Bulls got incredibly balanced scoring up and down the lineup -- nine of the 10 players who got on the court for Chicago scored at least eight points -- but Buzelis' 15 was the high-water mark. The second-year forward has scored at least 15 points in seven of nine games in February, averaging 14.4 points, 5.2 boards, 2.4 threes, 2.3 blocks and 2.0 assists on the month.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Career-high six blocks

Buzelis amassed 15 points (5-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists, six blocks and two steals over 30 minutes during Saturday's 126-110 loss to Detroit. Despite yet another Bulls loss, Buzelis turned in a strong two-way performance, including a career-high six blocks. After a somewhat frustrating start to the season, the sophomore has now played at least 30 minutes in 10 of the past 14 games, seemingly earning the trust of head coach Billy Donovan. During that time, Buzelis has averaged 14.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.8 blocks and 2.6 three-pointers, good enough for top-90 value.

  • Bulls' Matas Buzelis: Drills trio of threes

Buzelis recorded 15 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt), eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 124-105 loss to Boston. Buzelis finished one point shy of tying the team high on the night and two rebounds shy of a double-double. He's also in a good rhythm with his shot after back-to-back games with three makes from behind the arc. Over his past five games, Buzelis is averaging 3.4 threes per game.
