Clippers' Dalano Banton: Cleared to play Sunday
Banton will be available for Sunday's game against the Timberwolves, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
Banton agreed to a 10-day contract with the Clippers on Saturday and will suit up Sunday now that the deal has been made official. The 26-year-old is unlikely to factor into the LA rotation, though he'll provide depth at guard and on the wing while trade-deadline pickups Darius Garland (toe) and Bennedict Mathurin aren't available.

Clippers' Dalano Banton: Gets 10-day deal with LAC
The Clippers are signing Banton to a 10-day contract, Law Murray of The Athletic reports Saturday.
Banton has spent the entire 2025-26 season with the Texas Legends in the G League, where he is averaging 23.7 points, 5.9 assists, 2.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks over 33.3 minutes per game. He'll give the Clippers some added backcourt depth in the absences of Darius Garland (toe/recently traded) and Bennedict Mathurin (recently traded). Banton appeared in 67 regular-season games (seven starts) for the Trail Blazers during the 2024-25 campaign and averaged 8.3 points, 2.4 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.1 threes over 16.7 minutes per game.

Banton accumulated 23 points (8-22 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Sunday's 109-81 victory over the Lakers.
Banton finished the regular season in a starting role due to the absence of several other regulars in the rotation. Still, the former Nebraska standout made the most of the opportunity. He scored in double figures in six of his last seven starts, a stretch in which he averaged 16.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.0 blocks per game, although the efficiency was lacking since he made only 33.6 percent of his shots and 22.2 percent of his treys.

Banton didn't score more than seven points in any of his first eight appearances in March, however, and failed to score a point at all in his last four, so a repeat performance seems unlikely any time soon.
