Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Available vs. San Antonio
Rotowire
Williams (hamstring) is available for Wednesday's game against the Spurs, Christian Clark of The Athletic reports.
Williams will return after a one-game absence due to left hamstring tightness. He's been handed a more prominent role on offense due to how depleted the Mavericks are of late due to injuries, and he's responded well. The two-way guard averages 19.3 points per game in three outings in March.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Questionable to face San Antonio
Rotowire
Williams (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
Williams is in jeopardy of missing his second consecutive game due to left hamstring tightness. The two-way combo guard has received an elevated role of late due to a litany of Mavericks being sidelined, including Kyrie Irving (knee) and Jaden Hardy (ankle) in the backcourt. If Williams is unable to play Wednesday, Spencer Dinwiddie will likely receive a significant bump in minutes once again.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Out Monday
Rotowire
Williams (hamstring) is officially ruled out Monday against the Spurs.
Due to the slew of injuries that the Mavericks have experienced recently, Williams was elevated to an increased role, and he even started Sunday against the Suns. However, he will miss Monday's game in San Antonio, meaning Spencer Dinwiddie will likely take his place in the starting lineup.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Iffy for Monday
Rotowire
Williams (hamstring) is questionable for Monday's game against San Antonio.
Williams has some hamstring tightness that he picked up during Sunday's game against the Suns, but he's considered day-to-day. When healthy, Williams could see increased opportunity with Kyrie Irving (knee) done for the season. Over his last three games (one start), Williams has averaged 19.3 points, 6.3 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 30.7 minutes per game.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Leaves early with hamstring injury
Rotowire
Williams has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Suns due to left hamstring tightness.
Williams was on the floor for the final seconds of the third quarter, but he was subbed out for the beginning of the fourth quarter and will finish the day with 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists and three steals over 24 minutes. Even minor hamstring pulls can often require several days of healing time, so Williams may be facing an uphill battle to suit up in the Mavericks' next game Monday in San Antonio. The injury comes at a tough time for the Mavericks and for fantasy managers, as Williams' playing time and usage had picked up dramatically over the past three games in the wake of Kyrie Irving's (knee) season-ending ACL tear.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Starting Sunday
Rotowire
Williams will start in Sunday's game against the Suns, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The two-way guard will supplant Dante Exum in the starting five. Williams is coming off a career-high 31-point performance during Friday's loss to the Grizzlies, and he has averaged 14.6 points, 3.6 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals across 24.0 minutes per game in his last five NBA outings.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Pours in career-high 31 points
Rotowire
Williams tallied 31 points (10-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT), six assists, five rebounds and one steal across 34 minutes in Friday's 122-111 loss to the Grizzlies.
The two-way player has been outside of the rotation most of the season, but after Kyrie Irving (knee) and Jaden Hardy (ankle) both sustained long-term injuries in Monday's loss to the Kings, Williams has moved into a prominent role off the bench in the past two games. After notching 14 points in a loss to the Bucks on Wednesday, Williams upped the ante with a career-best scoring effort in Friday's loss. While Irving is out for the season, Hardy's timeline for a return is more open-ended, so Williams could eventually see his playing time take a hit. At least for the short term, however, Williams looks like a viable pickup, as Dallas is desperate for scoring options out of the backcourt. Fantasy managers should keep in mind that Williams - a career 39.6 percent shooter at the NBA level -- has converted at an unsustainable 56.7 percent from the field over the past two games, and he's eligible to be active for just nine of the Mavericks' remaining 18 games on the season.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Emerges from bench with 14 points
Rotowire
Williams had 14 points (7-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt), five rebounds, seven assists and three steals over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 137-107 loss to the Bucks.
Williams stepped into the lineup and posted 34 minutes in an impressive showing, ultimately becoming the assist leader for the team during the loss. Kyrie Irving's (knee) production is up for grabs, and Wednesday's game indicated that Williams may get a bigger piece of the action.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Good to go Friday
Rotowire
Williams (thumb) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game versus the Suns.
Williams will return to action Friday after missing Dallas' last six contests due to a thumb injury. However, Williams is averaging just 1.2 points in 4.2 minutes across his five appearances this season, so he is unlikely to significantly impact the Mavericks' rotation.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Remains out for Monday
Rotowire
Williams (thumb) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Portland.
Williams will miss his fifth straight game with a sprained right thumb, though the two-way guard likely wouldn't have been included in the rotation Monday even if he was healthy.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Won't play Saturday against Clips
Rotowire
Williams (thumb) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Clippers.
Williams will be sidelined for a sixth straight game due to a sprained right thumb, and his next opportunity to play will be against the Trail Blazers on Monday. Williams' absence won't impact the Mavericks' rotation that much as he's appeared in only five regular-season games.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Still absent from practice
Rotowire
Williams (thumb) didn't participate in Thursday's practice, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Williams has missed Dallas' last five contests due to a sprained right thumb. While the Mavericks have yet to release an injury report for Saturday's game versus the Clippers, Williams' absence from practice is a bad sign of his availability.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Won't play Thursday
Rotowire
Williams (thumb) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Clippers, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Williams has been battling a sprained left thumb and won't be cleared in time to face the Clippers on Thursday. Williams has appeared in just five NBA games this season, so his absence shouldn't have much rotational impact.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Still out Sunday
Rotowire
Williams (thumb) won't play in Sunday's game versus the Warriors, Eddie Sefko of the Mavericks' official site reports.
Williams hasn't logged any NBA minutes since Nov. 19, so his absence won't affect Dallas' rotation. Williams' next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with the Clippers.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Absent from Friday's practice
Rotowire
Coach Jason Kidd said Williams (thumb) did not participate in Friday's practice, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Williams was held out of practice while he deals with a sprained right thumb. The two-way guard should be considered questionable at best for Sunday's game against the Warriors, though his absence shouldn't affect any fantasy decisions as he has averaged 4.2 minutes per game across only five regular-season appearances.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Misses Tuesday's loss with injury
Rotowire
Williams was ruled out ahead of Tuesday's 118-104 loss to the Thunder due to a right thumb sprain.
One of Dallas' three two-way players, Williams has seen the overwhelming majority of his playing time in the G League this season, so his absence Tuesday didn't have any impact on head coach Jason Kidd's rotation. Williams will likely head back to the Texas Legends once he's moved past the thumb injury.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Sidelined once again
Rotowire
Williams (calf) will not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Jazz.
Williams is on a two-way contract, so missing preseason action doesn't help his cause for NBA minutes. Even when healthy, he doesn't have a shot at making the regular-season rotation unless Dallas is dealing with several injuries.

Mavericks' Brandon Williams: Pours in 22 points in finale
Rotowire
Williams ended with 22 points (8-21 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes during Sunday's 135-86 loss to the Thunder.
Williams ended up appearing in each of the Mavericks' final four games of the season, though his 30-minute workload in the finale was by far his largest of the season. He benefited from the increased playing time by virtue of Dallas holding out or limiting most of its key rotation players and ultimately finished the 2023-24 campaign with averages of 3.2 points, 1.0 assists and 0.8 rebounds in 6.6 minutes over 17 appearances. Since he's a two-way player, Williams won't be eligible to compete in the playoffs for Dallas.

Wiliams (wrist) won't play in Sunday's game versus the Thunder.
Williams will miss his third straight contest Sunday due to a left wrist sprain. His next chance to suit up is Tuesday's matchup with the Spurs.
