  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Strong showing in victory

Jenkins supplied 19 points (6-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, nine assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Thursday's 129-108 win over New Orleans. Jenkins has supplied the Pistons with plenty of offensive firepower since entering the starting lineup. He's put up 19 or more points in four of five starts since stepping into the first unit for Cade Cunningham (chest), and he's done so by also finding his teammates for buckets. Jenkins is averaging 19.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.0 assists during this five-game stretch.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Double-doubles in overtime loss

Jenkins totaled 19 points (6-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 6-8 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists and one steal over 45 minutes during Wednesday's 130-129 overtime loss to the Hawks. While Jenkins did do a nice job of handing out the dimes, he also set a new career high in turnovers and was responsible for nearly half of Detroit's giveaways in the one-point defeat. The Pistons weren't able to keep their win streak alive Wednesday, but they'll look to get things back on track Thursday against the Pelicans.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Well-rounded outing in victory

Jenkins supplied 22 points (7-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), eight assists, seven rebounds and one steal across 38 minutes in Friday's 115-101 win over the Warriors. Getting the start for a second consecutive contest in the absence of Cade Cunningham (chest), Jenkins turned in an efficient overall shooting performance and was Detroit's second-leading scorer. The 24-year-old guard also led all players in assists and rebounds, finishing one board shy of tying his career high. Jenkins has played heavy minutes over the last two games and may continue to see starter-level minutes for the remainder of the campaign, as Cunningham won't be re-evaluated for another two weeks.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Starting sans Cunningham

Jenkins will start Thursday's game against the Wizards, Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press reports. With Cade Cunningham (chest) sidelined, Jenkins will get the starting nod Thursday. As a starter this season (eight games), the 24-year-old guard has averaged 14.8 points, 7.0 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 31.4 minutes per contest. Cunningham is in danger of missing the remainder of the regular season, opening the door for Jenkins to see increased burn going forward.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Moving back to bench

Jenkins won't start Sunday's game against the Heat. With Cade Cunningham (quadriceps) back in action for the second leg of this back-to-back set, Jenkins will slide to the second unit. The 24-year-old guard has averaged 3.8 points in 13.8 minutes per game over his last five outings off the bench, though he'll likely see a slight bump in minutes due to Ausar Thompson (ankle) being sidelined.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Flirts with double-double

Jenkins had 11 points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-6 FT), one rebound, nine assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Saturday's 107-105 loss to Brooklyn. Jenkins moved into the starting lineup, filling in for Cade Cunningham, who was ruled out with a quad issue. Outside of a brief run earlier in the season, Jenkins has been mostly a non-factor thus far. However, even if Cunningham returns for Sunday's game against the Heat, Jenkins might be worth holding, given Ausar Thompson (ankle) could be sidelined for multiple games.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Starting Saturday

Jenkins will start against the Nets on Saturday, Eric Vincent of ClutchPoints.com reports. With Cade Cunningham (quadriceps) and Ausar Thompson (ankle) unavailable, Jenkins will get the starting nod for the first time since Jan. 21. As a starter this season (seven games), the 24-year-old guard has averaged 15.3 points, 6.7 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals across 30.9 minutes per tilt.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Muted role continues

Jenkins contributed seven points (3-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and three rebounds across 21 minutes during Monday's 114-103 loss to the Spurs. Jenkins has flashed his potential occasionally, but his fantasy upside will remain capped by a healthy Cade Cunningham. Jenkins has scored in single digits in five consecutive games, and he hasn't started a contest since the Jan. 21 victory in New Orleans.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Pops for 18 points

Jenkins finished with 18 points (7-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes during Friday's 118-80 victory over New York. Jenkins finished with 18 points in 18 minutes, once again flashing his offensive upside. With his two-way contract ending Friday, Detroit will now be converting him to a full-time contract, allowing him to play out the rest of the season. With Jaden Ivey now in Chicago, it appears Jenkins will continue to play a meaningful role moving forward, putting him on the fantasy radar in slightly deeper formats. For those in standard leagues, he should be considered a viable streaming option.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Available Friday

Jenkins isn't listed on the Pistons' injury report and will be available for Friday's game against the Knicks. After he was inactive for Thursday's loss to the Wizards, Jenkins will suit up for the second leg of this back-to-back set in what will mark his 50th game of the season as an active player for Detroit. Because two-way players aren't eligible to be active for more than 50 games, Pistons president of basketball operations Trajan Langdon told Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press on Friday that he expects Jenkins to be converted to a standard contract later this weekend, clearing up any concern about the second-year guard's availability moving forward. Jenkins has been a key piece in the second unit and as an occasional replacement in the starting five for Cade Cunningham this season. Jenkins is averaging 7.9 points, 3.3 assists, 1.8 rebounds, 1.0 three-pointers and 0.9 steals in 16.8 minutes per contest while shooting 42.1 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from downtown.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Unavailable for Thursday

Jenkins (two-way) is listed as out for Thursday's game against the Wizards, Hunter Patterson of The Athletic reports. A two-way player, Jenkins has been active for 49 games at the NBA level this season, meaning he can suit up for the Pistons just once more before he would need to be converted to a standard deal in order to be eligible to play for Detroit. Expect Detroit to eventually convert Jenkins once Thursday's trade deadline passes, but the team looks as though it will hold the second-year guard out for the matchup with Washington. With Jenkins sitting out, the Pistons could look to Caris LeVert to cover the backup minutes at point guard behind Cade Cunningham (wrist).

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Scores 18 in 20 minutes

Jenkins had 18 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 20 minutes during Sunday's 130-77 win over Brooklyn. Jenkins finished with his second-best scoring night of the calendar year against Brooklyn in a monster blowout victory. He needed only nine field-goal attempts to notch 18 points in a highly efficient effort. It's hard for Jenkins to consistently deliver these kinds of nights given Detroit's depth, but he is certainly capable of filling up the stat sheet at a high level on occasion.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Retreats to bench

Jenkins is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Rockets, Lachard Binkley of SI.com reports. Cade Cunningham (hip/illness) will retake his place in the first unit Friday. Jenkins has averaged 9.5 points, 5.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 19.3 minutes per contest over his last six games off the bench.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Starting for Cunningham

Jenkins is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans. Cade Cunningham (illness) won't play Wednesday, and his absence has opened up a spot for Jenkins in the starting lineup. In six total starts this season, Jenkins is averaging 15.0 points, 7.2 assists and 3.5 rebounds across 31.5 minutes. However, in the two starts he's made while Jaden Ivey has been healthy, Jenkins has averaged 6.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists across 25.5 minutes. Ivey, of course, will be available Wednesday night.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Sees 23 minutes in blowout win

Jenkins ended Monday's 121-90 win over the Knicks with 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt), four assists, two blocks and one steal over 23 minutes. Jenkins added another solid performance with 12 points and a season-high two blocks in Monday's blowout win over the Knicks. The 24-year-old played the entire fourth quarter with the game in control and has now played at least 23 minutes in back-to-back games after averaging just 8.7 minutes in the previous 10 contests. The second-year guard has played well when given the opportunity, but he has been a smaller piece of Detroit's rotation recently.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Erupts for 25 in Sunday's win

Jenkins racked up 25 points (7-10 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound and five assists across 25 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 114-110 win over the Cavaliers. Most of the second-year guard's production came in the second quarter, when Jenkins popped for 21 points to help build a 10-point lead going into halftime. It was his best scoring performance of the season from the second unit, topped only by a 26-point effort in a spot start Nov. 17 against the Pacers. Moreover, his six made three-pointers were a career high. Jenkins has struggled to earn a consistent role in the Detroit rotation, but Sunday's showing should help solidify his spot in the backcourt.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Diminished role continues

Jenkins accumulated zero points (0-2 FG) and one rebound in three minutes during Monday's 112-105 win over the Celtics. Jenkins logged fewer than five minutes for the second time in the past three games, continuing his recent downward trend. With Detroit now fielding a largely healthy lineup, Jenkins is simply being phased out of the rotation. While he has likely done enough to at least touch the floor on most nights, there is no reason to be holding him outside of deeper fantasy leagues. In five games over the past two weeks, Jenkins has averaged just 4.2 points in 11.7 minutes per game.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Bumped back to bench

Jenkins isn't part of the starting lineup for Friday's game against Portland. Jenkins will come off the bench Friday now that Duncan Robinson (ankle) is healthy. Jenkins should still see some run off the bench. He scored seven and six points, respectively, during his two starts sans Robinson.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Starting Monday

Jenkins will start Monday against the Hawks, Kevin Chouinard of the Hawks' official site reports. With Duncan Robinson (ankle) sidelined, Jenkins will rejoin the starting five. In his previous four starts this season, the two-way player averaged 19.3 points, 8.8 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 34.5 minutes per contest.

  • Pistons' Daniss Jenkins: Nets 26 points with eight assists

Jenkins produced 26 points (11-21 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, eight assists, one steal and four turnovers in 33 minutes during Monday's 127-112 win over the Pacers. The Pistons have now won 10 in a row, and Jenkins has played a key role ever since being inserted into the rotation four games ago. He's pumping out averages of 21.8 points, 7.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 2.5 triples and 2.0 steals per contest over that four-game stretch, making him a must-roster player in fantasy leagues.
