  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Strong performance in win

Stewart finished with seven points (1-3 FG, 5-5 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 105-95 win over Philadelphia. Stewart had his best outing of the season, playing 34 minutes as a result of Jalen Duren fouling out in just 11 minutes. Playing as the backup center, Stewart has been underwhelming in both fantasy and reality. While this was reminiscent of what he can do when afforded meaningful minutes, he simply won't play enough on a regular basis to be considered a viable asset.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Fails to score in 11 minutes

Stewart posted three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 11 minutes during Friday's 113-101 loss to the Cavaliers. Stewart was the first big off the bench but didn't contribute much on offense, failing to attempt a single field goal. After years of flirting with fantasy value, it appears as though he is going to be a non-factor this season. He is playing as the backup behind Jalen Duren, and while he should see closer to 15 minutes on most nights, there is simply not enough meat on the bone for him to be considered a viable fantasy asset.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Expected to play center

Stewart is expected to move from power forward to center this season, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports. Stewart is projected to come off the bench behind Jalen Duren while competing for playing time with Paul Reed. Stewart normally runs at the four-spot, but with Tobias Harris and Simone Fontecchio expected to play major roles with the club, Stewart will slide over to the center position. The 23-year-old played a large role in Detroit last season, during which he averaged 10.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.8 blocks across a career-high 30.9 minutes per game in 46 regular-season outings.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Healthy for training camp

Stewart (hamstring) practiced Wednesday, Coty M. Davis of The Detroit News reports. Stewart enters training camp as Detroit's only big man with an NBA track record of shooting success, so a healthy start while acclimating to multiple new pieces in the surrounding lineup bodes well for the 23-year-old. Stewart appeared in only 46 regular-season games last season, the fewest of his four-year career.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Shut down for remainder of season

The Pistons announced Wednesday that Stewart (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, Keith Langlois of the Pistons' official site reports. Stewart was diagnosed with a right hamstring strain after leaving Monday's loss to the Celtics early, and the Pistons, who are out of playoff contention, will shut down the big man for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign. Stewart should be able to make a full recovery and have a healthy summer. The 2020 first-round pick will be just 23 years old in May and signed a three-year, $45 million extension last July, so he figures to remain a key piece of the Pistons' rebuild. With the addition of Jalen Duren, Stewart has shifted to power forward the last two seasons, which has resulted in a drop in defensive production but an increase in three-point opportunities. He'll finish 2023-24 with averages of 10.9 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.8 blocks and 1.5 made threes in 30.9 minutes per game across 46 appearances (45 starts).

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Remains out Wednesday

Stewart (hamstring) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Pacers. Stewart will miss Wednesday's contest due to a right hamstring strain he suffered against Boston. With Taj Gibson (hamstring) and Simone Fontecchio (toe) questionable, Detroit could be left very thin in frontcourt depth versus Indiana.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Won't return Monday

Stewart has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game due to right hamstring soreness, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports. He finished with five points (2-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt), five rebounds and one assist. Taj Gibson started the second half in place of Stewart, who appeared to suffer the injury at some point late in the second quarter. The Pistons are classifying Stewart's injury as soreness, but he could be sent in for further imaging Tuesday if the team is concerned that he might be dealing with a strain. His absence for the rest of Monday's contest will leave Detroit shorthanded at forward, as Simone Fontecchio (toe) and Ausar Thompson (illness) had already been ruled out heading into the game.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Subtle contributions in win

Stewart logged 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one block in 34 minutes during Monday's 114-97 win over Charlotte. Stewart finished with a plus-13 net rating during his time on the court Monday, which marked his first game with multiple made threes since March 1. The 22-year-old has averaged 9.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.3 blocks in 34.4 minutes across his last four games.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Comes close to double-double

Stewart had 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt), nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks across 33 minutes during Friday's 110-100 loss to Cleveland. Stewart ended just one rebound away from a double-double for the second consecutive game, and the big man continues to find ways to impact the game on both ends of the court. Even though he isn't seen as a key figure in the team's long-term rebuild compared to Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson, Stewart is having a solid season in his own right. He's averaging 11.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game this season.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Handles sizable minutes in return

Stewart (suspension/ankle) started at power forward and tallied 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and one block across 34 minutes Tuesday in the Pistons' 105-95 win over the Bulls. Playing for the first time since Jan. 28 after missing eight games with a sprained left ankle and then three games while serving a suspension, Stewart faced no obvious restrictions during his time on the court. Even though the Pistons brought aboard Simone Fontecchio at the trade deadline, he moved to the bench to accommodate the return of Stewart, who started alongside Jalen Duren and Ausar Thompson in the frontcourt. Though Duren and Thompson both seemingly represent longer-term building blocks for Detroit, the coaching staff may be eager to see if Stewart and Duren can coexist alongside one another after the former had primarily played at center up until this season. After converting on fewer than one-third of his three-point attempts over his first three NBA seasons, Stewart has at least shown some growth as a floor-spacing threat in Year 4, knocking down a respectable 37.2 percent of his tries from downtown.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Starting Tuesday

Stewart will start Tuesday's game against the Bulls. Stewart will be making his first appearance since Jan. 28, as he served a three-game suspension after his ankle injury due to an altercation with Drew Eubanks. With Stewart back with the starters, Simone Fontecchio will join the second unit.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Not listed on injury report

Stewart (suspension/ankle) isn't listed on Detroit's injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Bulls. Stewart hasn't played since Jan. 28. He was initially sidelined by an ankle injury but was suspended for the first three games after the All-Star break due to an altercation with Phoenix's Drew Eubanks following a Feb. 14 loss to the Suns. He returned to practice during the break, so he's had plenty of time to ramp up his conditioning while serving his suspension, though it wouldn't be surprising to see Stewart limited in his first game back. Stewart's return will likely mean fewer minutes for Simone Fontecchio, Ausar Thompson and Troy Brown.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Suspended for three games

The NBA announced Thursday that Stewart (ankle) is being suspended for three games due to his altercation with Suns center Drew Eubanks on Feb. 14, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Stewart was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge and issued a citation after he allegedly punched Eubanks in the Footprint Center parking lot ahead of the Pistons' game against the Suns on Feb. 14. While Stewart's court date was initially set for Feb. 23, the case has been dismissed by the Phoenix Municipal Court. Ausar Thompson, Troy Brown and Mike Muscala are candidates to receive increased playing time in his absence. Stewart's suspension will begin with Thursday's matchup versus Indiana, and his first opportunity to return will be against Chicago on Tuesday.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Questionable for Thursday

Stewart (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Pacers. Stewart is in danger of missing his ninth straight contest due to a left ankle sprain. However, his participation in practice Wednesday is a good sign of his availability. No news has been released about whether Stewart will be suspended by the NBA following his arrest on an assault charge due to allegedly punching Drew Eubanks.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Practices, but status unclear

Stewart (ankle) participated in Wednesday's practice, but his status for Thursday's game in Indiana remains unclear, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports. It appears Stewart is nearing the final stages of his recovery from a left ankle sprain, which made him miss the final eight games before the All-Star break. However, during his injury absence, the big man was arrested on an assault charge and issued a citation after he allegedly punched Drew Eubanks following a loss in Phoenix last week. Stewart's court date is set for Friday, and coach Monty Williams didn't have an update on the status of the NBA's investigation into the incident following Wednesday's practice.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Arrested on assault charge

Stewart (ankle) was arrested Wednesday on an assault charge and issued a citation after he allegedly punched the Suns' Drew Eubanks in a Footprint Center parking lot prior to the Pistons' 116-100 loss in Phoenix, Shams Charania and James L. Edwards III of The Athletic report. According to a report from the Phoenix Police Department, Stewart and Eubanks were involved in an argument in the players' parking lot at the arena around 4:45 p.m. local time, though it's unclear what sparked the fight between the two. Both men were separated by security after a witness said that Stewart punched Eubanks, causing a minor injury to the Suns center. Stewart was later released by police, but an investigation into the incident still remains active. The Pistons big man missed his eighth straight game Wednesday due to a left ankle sprain, but he joined Detroit on its West Coast road trip in anticipation of returning to action following the All-Star break. Since Stewart could be subject to a suspension from the league in addition to facing possible legal ramifications, he's uncertain to be available when the Pistons play their next game Feb. 22 in Indiana.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Set to return after All-Star break

Stewart (ankle) has begun his ramp-up process and is on track to return immediately after the All-Star break, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Stewart has been unavailable since the end of January due to his ankle injury, and he'll be sidelined for at least two more games. However, he's trending in the right direction and should be back in action when the Pistons return from their layoff. Over his seven appearances before his absence, the 22-year-old averaged 13.7 points and 5.9 rebounds in 30.1 minutes per game.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Out at least 10 days

Stewart is expected to miss at least 10-to-14 days due to his left ankle sprain, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Stewart suffered his injury during Sunday's win over the Thunder and will aim to return to action in mid-February. Mike Muscala (head) and Danilo Gallinari are candidates to receive increased minutes in his absence.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Out for Wednesday

Stewart (ankle) will not play Wednesday versus Cleveland. Stewart tweaked his ankle while awkwardly catching a poor entry pass into the post during Sunday's win over the Thunder. He was visibly frustrated as he hobbled to the locker room. The injury will cost him at least one game, while his next opportunity to take the court comes Friday versus the Clippers.

  • Pistons' Isaiah Stewart: Doesn't practice Tuesday

Stewart (ankle) didn't practice Tuesday, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. The extent of the practice remains unclear, but this isn't surprising after Stewart left Sunday's loss to the Thunder after spraining his left ankle. His status for Wednesday's matchup in Cleveland will be released Tuesday night, but fantasy managers can expect Stewart to be listed as questionable, at best.
