  • Alondes Williams: Contract with Washington expires

Williams became a free agent Thursday after his 10-day contract with the Wizards expired, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports. Washington could retain Williams on a second 10-day deal, which the team would presumably look to finalize prior to Thursday's game in Atlanta. The fourth-year guard averaged 13.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.7 three-pointers, 1.0 blocks and 0.7 steals in 30.3 minutes per game over his first three appearances with Washington, but he fell out of the rotation in the Wizards' most recent game Tuesday, when he played nine minutes of garbage time in a 119-98 loss to the Hawks.

  • Wizards' Alondes Williams: Double-doubles in win

Williams contributed 25 points (9-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 131-118 victory over the Pacers. Williams was fantastic in the win, recording a double-double in just his second appearance since signing a 10-day contract with the Wizards. In what could very well end up being the best performance of his career, Williams rewarded anyone that was lucky enough to have him on their roster. Looking ahead, it's hard to know what Washington is going to run out on any given night. Feel free to take a chance on him when the Wizards face the Hornets on Sunday, keeping in mind his playing time is by no means guaranteed.

  • Wizards' Alondes Williams: Nabs 10-day deal with Washington

Williams agreed to a 10-day contract with the Wizards on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Williams has been a standout performer in 2025-26 for Washington's G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go, and he's now get a look with the parent club on a short-term deal. The 26-year-old offers the Wizards some backcourt depth while the squad waits for Trae Young (knee) to make his team debut, but he's unlikely to have much fantasy relevance at the NBA level. Over 23 appearances with the Go-Go this season, Williams averaged 20.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.8 three-pointers and 1.7 steals in 35.7 minutes per contest.

The Heat signed Williams to a two-way contract Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Williams will take the two-way spot that belonged to R.J. Hampton, whom the Heat waived in a corresponding move. A second-year guard out of Wake Forest, Williams has spent the 2023-24 campaign with the Heat's G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. In 32 appearances this season, Williams had averaged 20.3 points, 6.5 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 37.0 minutes per game while shooting 49.9 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from three-point range.

The Heat signed Williams to an Exhibit 10 deal Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Williams spent most of last season in the G league for the Long Island Nets. His new Exhibit 10 deal will make it easy for Miami to convert him to a two-way contract if he continues to impress during training camp.
