Hayes finished Wednesday's 117-109 loss to the Hornets with 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds and four assists across 31 minutes.
Hayes was inserted into the starting lineup after both Russell Westbrook (quad) and Devin Carter (calf) were ruled out. While Hayes was able to drop a season-high 11 points, his overall production left a little to be desired. Should he remain in the starting lineup, Hayes could be worth a look in deeper formats. However, both Westbrook and Carter could return as soon as Saturday, which would eliminate any chance Hayes has of putting up viable fantasy production.

Kings' Killian Hayes: Starting Wednesday
Hayes will start Wednesday versus the Hornets, Brenden Nunes of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports.
Hayes is getting the start with Russell Westbrook (quad) unavailable, and he'll be joined in the first unit by DeMar DeRozan, Nique Clifford, Precious Achiuwa and Maxime Raynaud. Hayes is capable of racking up dimes and defensive stats when given the minutes, so he's worth a look as a streamer for managers who need help in those categories.

Kings' Killian Hayes: Back with Kings via 10-day deal
The Kings signed Hayes to a second 10-day contract Thursday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
His first deal expired Thursday, but Sacramento wants to get another look at the 2020 first-round pick for at least their next handful of games. Hayes will be vying with second-year player Devin Carter for backup minutes at point guard, with the former averaging 2.2 points, 3.4 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 13.0 minutes per tilt through five games with the Kings.

The Kings will need to re-sign Hayes to a second 10-day deal or a rest-of-season pact in order for him to be eligible to play in their next game Thursday versus the Pelicans. The Kings signed Hayes to a 10-day contract Sunday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Hayes has spent the entire 2025-26 season in the G League with the Cleveland Charge after failing to make the Cavaliers' 15-man squad at the end of training camp in mid-October. In the G League, he is averaging 23.1 points, 8.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 2.3 threes and 1.7 steals over 31.8 minutes per game. Hayes -- who was selected by the Pistons with the No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft -- appeared in six regular-season games (five starts) for the Nets during the 2024-25 campaign and averaged 9.0 points, 5.2 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 threes over 27.0 minutes per game. He'll have the chance to establish a role for himself in the Kings' rotation now that Zach LaVine (finger) and De'Andre Hunter (eye) are both out for the rest of the season.

Look for the Nets to either re-sign Hayes to a second 10-day deal or bring aboard another player to fill the vacant roster spot before their next game Tuesday in San Antonio.
