Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Cleared to practice in G League
Rotowire
The Bulls assigned Ivey (knee) to the G League's Windy City Bulls on Friday and immediately recalled him after he took part in practice with the affilliate.
Ivey's ability to practice in the G League signals that he could be nearing a return to action after the Bulls opted to shut him down shortly after the All-Star break due to left patellofemoral pain syndrome. Prior to missing time, Ivey had appeared in just four games for the Bulls following his acquisition from the Pistons at the trade deadline, averaging 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 three-pointers and 2.0 steals in 29.0 minutes per contest. Both Ivey himself and head coach Billy Donovan had acknowledged that the 24-year-old guard had lacked the explosiveness he had displayed during his first three seasons in the league before fracturing his leg in January 2025, but Donovan expressed confidence Friday that Ivey would eventually return to form after a "period of time," per Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. Ivey is slated to work out with the Bulls on Sunday, but he'll most likely remain out for their next game Monday versus the Grizzlies.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Won't travel with team
Rotowire
Ivey (knee) won't travel with the Bulls for their upcoming five-game road trip, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.
While Ivey could meet the club at some point, this update makes it sound as though the guard will remain out for the length of the road trip, which is scheduled to conclude March 13 in Los Angeles. Head coach Billy Donovan noted that Ivey will remain in Chicago to work on strengthening his leg, per Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic, with the hope that he'll be able to take the court again this season. If Ivey doesn't appear during the road trip, his next chance to suit up would arrive March 16 against Memphis.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Out for at least two weeks
Rotowire
Ivey will have his left knee injury re-evaluated by medical staff in two weeks.
Ivey is dealing with pain in his left knee, and the injury is severe enough for the fourth-year guard to be sidelined for an extended period. He was acquired by the Bulls from the Pistons in early February and has averaged 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.0 threes and 2.0 steals over 28.8 minutes per game in four outings (three starts) with Chicago. Ivey's absence means Collin Sexton, Tre Jones and Rob Dillingham should all take on expanded roles off the bench behind backcourt starters Josh Giddey and Anfernee Simons.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Iffy for Saturday
Rotowire
Ivey (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Pistons.
Ivey is dealing with pain in his left knee and is in danger of missing the front end of this back-to-back set. The 24-year-old guard wasn't included in the rotation during Thursday's loss to Toronto, so his potential absence shouldn't cause any significant waves.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Checks in Wednesday
Rotowire
Ivey (undisclosed) checked into Wednesday's game against the Celtics with 6:19 remaining in the first quarter, per the broadcast.
Ivey was announced in the starting lineup ahead of tipoff, though Collin Sexton ultimately got the starting nod. However, Ivey doesn't appear to be dealing with an injury and should be good to go for the remainder of the contest after checking in.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Removed from lineup last second
Rotowire
Ivey has been replaced by Collin Sexton in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, per the broadcast.
Ivey was slated to start Wednesday's game, but Chicago made a last-second change that moved Sexton into the first unit in Ivey's place. It's unclear if Ivey is dealing with an injury, but the sudden nature of the change doesn't inspire positivity.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Serviceable production continues
Rotowire
Ivey registered 13 points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals in 24 minutes during Monday's 123-115 loss to Brooklyn.
Ivey cobbled together another strong performance, at least relative to what he has produced thus far this season. In three games since joining the Bulls, Ivey has averaged 12.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.7 steals and 2.3 three-pointers, having started all three games. The eventual return of Josh Giddey (hamstring) and Tre Jones (hamstring) will complicate things, but until then, Ivey should be rostered in most leagues moving forward.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Starting Thursday
Rotowire
Ivey will start Thursday in Toronto.
Ivey will immediately be thrust into the first unit in Chicago, and it'll be Anfernee Simons, Isaac Okoro, Matas Buzelis and Jalen Smith joining him in the starting lineup for Thursday's game. Ivey wasn't able to establish himself in the offense in Detroit, but he'll get some time to shine with a change of scenery in Chicago.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Likely to make Bulls debut Thursday
Rotowire
Ivey (recently traded) is probable for Thursday's game against the Raptors.
Ivey was traded to the Bulls in a three-team deal Tuesday and was initially listed as questionable for Thursday's game. However, it now appears likely he will make his team debut and could see heavy minutes, as Chicago will be shorthanded after a busy deadline. Ivey has played more than 22 minutes only once this season, as he works his way back from a broken leg last year.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Questionable for Thursday

Ivey (trade pending) is questionable for Thursday's game in Toronto.
There are still some things that need to be done for the trade that sent Ivey to Chicago to be finalized, and they might not be completed before Thursday's away game. Check back closer to Thursday's tip for official word on Ivey's status.

Bulls' Jaden Ivey: Traded to Chicago
Rotowire
Ivey will be traded from the Pistons to the Bulls in a three-team transaction Tuesday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports. Minnesota will send Mike Conley to the Bulls, while Kevin Huerter (back) and Dario Saric will head to Detroit.
Ivey has been in the rumor mill for months as he became expendable in Detroit's backcourt. It didn't help his case that he missed a lot of time with injuries in recent seasons. Ivey will get a fresh start in Chicago, but unless the team moves Coby White, Ivey won't be considered likely to start in the backcourt with Josh Giddey (hamstring) running the point. Ivey is questionable to debut against the Raptors on Thursday.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Modest season continues
Rotowire
Ivey notched seven points (2-5 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and one assist in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 112-104 win over the Pelicans.
Ivey scored single digits for the fifth time in the past six games, continuing his underwhelming campaign. After his start to the season was delayed by a month due to injury, the hope was that Ivey would be able to carve out a starter-level role. However, it looks as though he could be limited to bench minutes, averaging just 19.2 minutes per game in 14 appearances over the past month.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Headed to bench
Rotowire
Ivey will come off the bench for Thursday's game against the Suns.
Cade Cunningham (wrist) is back after a two-game stint on the sidelines, which will result in Ivey's return to the second unit. Ivey has been quiet this season, owning averages of 8.3 points, 1.8 assists and 1.0 three-pointers per game.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Offers little despite start
Rotowire
Ivey accumulated eight points (4-12 FG, 0-5 3Pt) and three rebounds across 20 minutes during Saturday's 98-92 loss to the Clippers.
Ivey moved into the starting lineup after Cade Cunningham was ruled out with a wrist injury. While this was a great opportunity for Ivey, he came up well short of what managers were hoping for. Given what we have seen from him thus far, and the fact that he is typically limited to minutes in the teens, Ivey can be ignored in standard leagues at this point.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Scores season-high 16 points
Rotowire
Ivey notched 16 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 22 minutes during Monday's 121-90 victory over New York.
Ivey put up his most points of the season in Monday's win over the Knicks. The 23-year-old guard has only played 20 or more minutes in four games this season since returning on Nov. 22. For the season, he's averaging 8.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 threes in 16.5 minutes per game.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Sees 19 minutes in win
Rotowire
Ivey supplied seven points (3-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt), two rebounds and two blocks over 19 minutes during Sunday's 114-110 win over the Cavaliers.
Ivey continues to be used sparingly by Detroit, and that may not change with so much competition for touches. Over his last seven outings, he's seeing 19.0 minutes per game with 8.4 points, 2.3 assists, 1.6 rebounds, 0.6 steals and 1.4 three-pointers.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Posts 11 points from bench
Rotowire
Ivey amassed 11 points (2-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Sunday's 112-99 loss to the Clippers.
Although Ivey shot only 20 percent from the floor, he finished as the team's third-highest scorer in the loss. Ivey faces an uphill battle for minutes, as Duncan Robinson is playing well enough to hang onto the starting role, a seat Ivey filled for 30 games last season before suffering a broken fibula. He shows no ill effects from the injury, but the Pistons have kept his usage down with an average of 15.7 minutes over 17 games played.
Ivey supplied 15 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one block over 19 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 113-109 loss to the Bucks.
The fourth-year guard didn't make his season debut until Nov. 22 after undergoing knee surgery just before the start of the campaign, and Wednesday's 15 points and six dimes were his best efforts in those categories in seven games since rejoining the lineup. Ivey has yet to play more than 20 minutes in a contest as he gets eased back in, but this performance might be a good sign he's ready to take on a bigger workload as the floor general for Detroit's second unit.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Only 15 minutes in loss
Rotowire
Ivey ended Wednesday's 117-114 loss to Boston with seven points (2-9 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and one steal in 15 minutes.
Ivey continues to be brought along slowly, having now played no more than 15 minutes in all three games since returning from injury. Although his playing time is likely to increase, it is unclear whether he will push back into the starting lineup. He is probably worth holding for at least another couple of games, just in case things turn around sooner rather than later.

Pistons' Jaden Ivey: Good to go Monday
Rotowire
Ivey (reconditioning) is available for Monday's game against the Pacers.
Ivey was previously listed as probable for Monday's contest and will suit up as expected. The guard made his season debut Saturday after missing the Pistons' first 15 regular-season games following arthroscopic right knee surgery in training camp and delivered 10 points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two assists, one rebound and one steal in 15 minutes. Detroit will likely continue to monitor Ivey's health and gradually ramp up both his minutes and usage.
