  • Spurs' Chris Paul: Hands out nine assists

Paul chipped in 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), six rebounds, nine assists and one block over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 120-105 victory over the Knicks.

Stephon Castle and Sandro Mamukelashvili led the Spurs to victory Wednesday, but Paul still made his presence felt as a reliable playmaker and finished just one assist away from recording a double-double. Even though he's no longer the go-to option on offense as he was during his prime years, Paul has done a good job of playing alongside Castle in the backcourt. The veteran floor general is averaging 7.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 0.8 steals per game across 11 starts since the beginning of March.

  • Spurs' Chris Paul: Flirts with triple-double

Paul provided nine points (3-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and eight assists across 22 minutes during Monday's 125-109 loss to the Lakers.

Paul wasn't too far away from recording the 19th triple-double of his career. With De'Aaron Fox (finger) out for the season, Paul and Stephon Castle are likely to see the bulk of the backcourt minutes in the short term, although Paul could be dialed back in favor a youth movement towards the very end of the season.

  • Spurs' Chris Paul: Tallies nine assists in loss

Paul chipped in six points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine assists, two rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes during Monday's 133-129 loss to the Mavericks.

Paul led the club in assists during the loss, dishing out six or more dimes for a sixth consecutive contest. The veteran playmaker struggled from three-point range Monday, though he has still shot an efficient 44.4 percent from beyond the arc in 11 outings since the All-Star break. However, Paul has been fairly quiet on the offensive end in that 11-game span, scoring in single digits during eight of those 11 outings.

  • Spurs' Chris Paul: Quiet in loss

Paul accumulated six points (2-2 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds, six assists and one block over 28 minutes during Sunday's 146-132 loss to the Thunder.

Stephon Castle has been on a tear off the bench for San Antonio, resulting in fewer minutes and usage for Paul. Over the last three games, the veteran point guard has played just 23.5 minutes per contest to go with averages of 6.0 points, 6.0 assists, 2.3 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.3 three-pointers.

  • Spurs' Chris Paul: Double-doubles in loss

Paul totaled 12 points (4-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 assists, two steals and one block over 33 minutes during Tuesday's 109-103 loss to the Pelicans.

Paul delivered a bounce-back performance following two lackluster outings, during which he accumulated only seven points (2-13 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine assists, three rebounds and one steal across 47 total minutes. The veteran point guard posted his 12th double-double through 56 regular-season appearances Tuesday, leading the Spurs with a game-high mark in assists. Additionally, Paul logged multiple steals for the 22nd time during the 2024-25 campaign.

  • Spurs' Chris Paul: Double-double in Thursday's win

Paul chipped in 13 points (4-10 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, 10 assists and two steals over 32 minutes during Thursday's 120-109 win over Phoenix.

The double-double was the 11th of the season for the future Hall of Famer, and his first since Jan. 13. With Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) suddenly lost for the rest of the season, De'Aaron Fox figures to take on more of the scoring load for the Spurs, which could push more distribution duties onto Paul. In six games since Fox was acquired from the Kings, the 39-year-old point guard has averaged 8.2 points, 8.0 assists, 3.2 boards, 1.8 threes and 1.5 steals.

  • Spurs' Chris Paul: Quiet in loss Saturday

Paul closed with six points (3-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds and five assists in 27 minutes during Saturday's 112-111 loss to the Magic.

Paul struggled again Saturday, perhaps as a result of the recent trade. With De'Aaron Fox now playing as the primary facilitator, there is less for Paul to do on offense. Since Fox landed in town, Paul has averaged just 7.6 points, 7.0 assists and 0.3 steals. Although he should remain in the starting lineup, at least for the time being, his overall appeal appears as though it is going to be somewhat muted moving forward.

  • Spurs' Chris Paul: Upgraded to available

Paul (finger) is available for Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Jeff Garcia of KENS 5 San Antonio reports.

The Spurs have given Paul the green light to play Wednesday, and the veteran guard will avoid missing his first game of the season in the process. Over his last 10 games, Paul has averaged 8.5 points, 7.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 29.2 minutes. San Antonio has also opted to send Stephon Castle to the bench against Atlanta, keeping Paul with the first unit alongside the incoming De'Aaron Fox.

  • Spurs' Chris Paul: On track to play Wednesday

Paul (finger) is on track to play in Wednesday's game against the Hawks, Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com reports.

Paul sounds to be on the right side of the questionable tag with a finger sprain Wednesday, although the veteran guard will presumably go through pregame warmups before the Spurs officially update his game status. Paul has averaged 8.5 points, 7.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 29.2 minutes over his last 10 games, but he could be headed for a reserve role with De'Aaron Fox joining the club.
