Celtics' Luke Kornet: Plays well in win
Kornet registered seven points (1-3 FG, 5-8 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one block over 27 minutes during Sunday's 112-98 win over the Wizards.
With Al Horford getting the night off for rest and Kristaps Porzingis (heel) leaving early, Kornet saw extended run. That's likely to happen often this season, so fantasy managers should keep Kornet in mind as a streaming option the next time that Horford sits.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Quiet in win
Brown provided 11 points (4-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-4 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals across 26 minutes during Sunday's 112-98 victory over the Wizards.
Brown had a poor showing offensively but made up for it on the defensive end. Through six December showings, Brown has posted averages of 21.5 points, 5.3 assists, 5.2 assists, 1.5 steals and 2.2 three-pointers, shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from beyond the arc.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Double-double off bench Sunday
Pritchard closed Sunday's 112-98 win over Washington with 15 points (5-12 FG, 5-10 3Pt), 11 rebounds and six assists over 37 minutes off the bench.
It was his second straight game with a double-double, although Thursday's effort came via assists and not boards. Pritchard has scored at least 15 points in eight of the last nine games while anchoring Boston's second unit, averaging 20.1 points, 5.6 boards, 4.9 threes 4.0 assists and 0.8 steals over that stretch while shooting 50.8 percent from the floor and 46.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Celtics' Jayson Tatum: Double-double in Sunday return
Tatum contributed 28 points (12-26 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds and two assists over 35 minutes during Sunday's 112-98 win over the Wizards.
The 26-year-old forward missed the Celtics' prior game and two of the previous four while dealing with a sore right knee. However, Tatum looked pretty healthy Sunday as he delivered his 12th double-double of the season, including four straight and five in his last six appearances. If there's evidence that Tatum is not at 100 percent right now, it's coming at the defensive end of the court, as he's gone three straight games without recording either a steal or a block -- an uncharacteristic dry spell for a player who's averaged at least 1.0 steals a game every season of his career.

Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Leaves early with heel injury
Porzingis didn't return to Sunday's 112-98 win over the Wizards after exiting in the second quarter with right heel pain.
Porzingis turned in 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists in 11 minutes before leaving the contest. The Celtics didn't provide an update on Porzingis' status following the game, but it's worth noting that the big man's heel injury isn't an aggravation of the left foot/ankle that required offseason surgery and cost him the first 17 games of the season. For now, Porzingis can be viewed as day-to-day leading up to the Celtics' next game Thursday versus the Bulls.

Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Questionable to return Sunday
Porzingis is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Wizards due to right heel pain, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Porzingis exited for the locker room during Sunday's contest and has been deemed questionable to return. If he is ultimately unable to return, Luke Kornet would likely see more minutes.

Celtics' Sam Hauser: Will play Sunday
Hauser (thigh) is available for Sunday's game against the Wizards, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Hauser missed the win over the Pistons on Thursday due to a right adductor strain, and he should add depth to the bench in his return to action. However, his bench role certainly limits his upside in most formats.

Celtics' Jaden Springer: Good to go Sunday
Springer isn't on the injury report for Sunday's game versus the Wizards, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Springer will return to action Sunday after missing Boston's previous contest due to an illness. However, Springer is averaging just 3.4 minutes across seven appearances this season.

Celtics' Jayson Tatum: Available to face Washington
Tatum (knee) is not on the injury report and will be available for Sunday's game against the Wizards, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
Tatum missed the 123-99 win over the Pistons on Thursday due to right patella tendinopathy, but the star forward will be available to return Sunday and should handle his regular workload. Tatum has been one of the most productive forwards in fantasy and should take advantage of a favorable matchup against the Wizards. He's averaging 25.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game over his last 10 appearances.

Celtics' Al Horford: Ruled out for Sunday
Horford will not play in Sunday's game against the Wizards for rest purposes.
The Celtics do not play again until Thursday, so Horford will end up getting some extended time off. The veteran big man is averaging 9.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.2 triples, 0.9 blocks and 0.7 steals across 28.0 minutes in 19 games this season. In his absence, Neemias Queta and Luke Kornet could see more depth minutes at center.

Celtics' Neemias Queta: Efficient night in win
Queta recorded four points (2-3 FG), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 18 minutes during Thursday's 123-99 victory over Detroit.
The big man saw significant playing time off the bench while serving as the primary backup to Kristaps Porzingis on Thursday. Queta has appeared in three consecutive outings following a DNP-CD on Dec. 4, during which he has averaged 3.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks across 15.7 minutes per contest.

Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Misses out on double-double
Brown contributed 14 points (6-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Thursday's 123-99 victory over the Pistons.
Brown scored his fewest points since Nov. 10 on Thursday, but the Celtics were still able to easily cruise to victory. Brown has seen a decrease in his efficiency this season, shooting 44.6 percent from the field compared to 49.9 in 2023-24.

Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Solid all-around line in win
Porzingis logged 19 points (8-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 30 minutes during Thursday's 123-99 win over Detroit.
It wasn't the most efficient night from downtown for Porzingis, but he filled the box score and nearly secured a double-double for a Celtics team that was without superstar Jayson Tatum (knee) on Thursday. In seven appearances with Tatum sidelined dating back to last season, Porzingis is now averaging 19.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals, 3.0 blocks and 2.4 three-pointers per game If Tatum remains unavailable for Sunday's contest against a Wizards club giving up the most points per game (123.8) in the league this year, Porzingis will likely experience an uptick in usage and handle a more pronounced role on offense for Boston once again.

Celtics' Derrick White: Torches Pistons with seven threes
White logged 23 points (7-13 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 31 minutes during Thursday's 123-99 victory over the Pistons.
White stepped up with a full stat line for the Celtics on a night when superstar Jayson Tatum (knee) was out of action, also torching the Pistons by draining a season-high seven three-pointers in Thursday's blowout. In eight games with Tatum unavailable since 2023-24, White is now averaging 19.4 points, 8.1 assists, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 1.4 steals and 3.8 three-pointers per contest dating back to last season. If Tatum remains out for Sunday's matchup against a Wizards team allowing the most points per game (123.8) in the NBA this year, White would figure to be an even more attractive fantasy option than he already is when Boston is fully healthy.

Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Standout performance off bench
Pritchard notched 27 points (10-20 FG, 7-15 3Pt), four rebounds and 10 assists in 31 minutes during Thursday's 123-99 victory over the Pistons.
Pritchard continues to cement himself as one of the league's premier sixth men in 2024-25, as he's now gone for at least 19 points in seven of his last eight games following his first double-double of the season in the absence of superstar Jayson Tatum (knee) in Thursday's rout. However, Pritchard was held scoreless over 24 minutes during a Dec. 6 win over the Bucks during this period, which sheds some light on how volatile the 26-year-old sharpshooter tends to be. Overall, Pritchard is converting 46.4 percent of three-point attempts across his last eight games and should remain a strong source of points and triples for fantasy managers ahead of Sunday's soft matchup against Washington.

Celtics' Al Horford: Starting sans Tatum on Thursday
Horford will enter the starting lineup in Thursday's game against Detroit, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
With Jayson Tatum (knee) sidelined, Horford will return to the starting frontcourt alongside Kristaps Porzingis. Horford has been a mainstay in the starting five, and over his last five starts the veteran big man has averaged 11.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 blocks across 32.4 minutes per contest.
