Cavaliers' Jaylon Tyson: Headed to bench
Tyson will come off the bench Sunday against the Hornets, Serena Winters of FanDuel Sports Network Ohio reports.
Dean Wade is replacing Tyson in the first unit for Sunday's game, which lessens Tyson's appeal as a target in daily fantasy leagues. As a member of the second unit this season, Tyson owns averages of 7.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.2 triples and 1.4 steals per game in 23.7 minutes per contest.

Cavaliers' Dean Wade: Starting Sunday
Wade is part of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Charlotte, Serena Winters of FanDuel Sports Network Ohio reports.
Wade will make his fourth start of the campaign, replacing Jaylon Tyson in the first unit while Evan Mobley (calf) is sidelined. In his three starts this season, Wade averaged 7.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals across 27.3 minutes.

Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Cleared to play Sunday
Allen (finger) is available for Sunday's game against the Hornets, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Allen has been sidelined for nine of the Cavs' last 10 games due to a right finger sprain, but he has been cleared to play Sunday. He'll reclaim his starting spot at center, and with Evan Mobley (calf) sidelined for at least two weeks, Dean Wade could join Allen in the starting lineup in the short term.

Cavaliers' Sam Merrill: Ruled out for Sunday
Merrill (hand) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hornets.
Merrill will miss his 12th consecutive contest due to a sprained right hand. The sharpshooter can be considered doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Bulls until the Cavaliers offer another update on his status.

Cavaliers' Max Strus: Won't suit up Sunday
Strus (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hornets.
Strus is still recovering from left foot surgery he underwent in August and is without a timetable for a return. The 29-year-old can be considered doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Bulls until the Cavaliers provide an update on his status.

Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Likely to play Sunday
Allen (finger) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Hornets.
Allen has missed nine of the Cavaliers' last 10 games due to a strained right finger, but he has progressed enough in his recovery to earn the probable tag for Sunday's game. His return would be timely, given that Evan Mobley will be sidelined for 2-to-4 weeks due to a Grade 1 calf strain. Allen has appeared in 15 regular-season games and is averaging 14.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.9 blocks over 26.1 minutes per game.

Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Sidelined for at least two weeks
Mobley sustained a Grade 1 left calf strain during the Cavaliers' 130-126 win over the Wizards on Friday.
The good news for Mobley is that the strain isn't severe enough to warrant a long absence, but the All-Star forward is expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks while rehabbing from his calf injury. Dean Wade, Thomas Bryant and Nae'Qwan Tomlin are all slated to see more minutes for as long as Mobley is sidelined.

Cavaliers' De'Andre Hunter: Struggles with shot Friday
Hunter registered 15 points (4-14 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and four rebounds in 27 minutes during Friday's 130-126 victory over the Wizards.
Hunter reached the 15-point mark for the first time in December, but he continues to struggle with his shot. The veteran forward plays a secondary role in the Cavaliers' offensive scheme, but his ability to knock down outside shots certainly opens up possibilities for others. Over five games in December, Hunter is averaging 11.0 points per game while shooting 35.3 percent from the floor and a mere 22.2 percent from three-point range.

Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Fourth straight double-double
Mobley finished with 23 points (7-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 7-9 FT), 13 rebounds and six assists over 36 minutes during Friday's 130-126 victory over the Wizards.
Mobley has been a consistent source of points and rebounds for the Cavaliers this season. This was his fourth straight double-double, and he's reached that feat in eight of his last 10 games. He's not going to unsettle Donovan Mitchell as the team's primary scoring option, but his consistency has been remarkable. Over his last 10 games, Mobley is averaging 19.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.9 blocks per contest.

Cavaliers' Darius Garland: Scores 18 points
Garland produced 18 points (6-17 FG, 0-11 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds, six assists and two steals over 35 minutes during Friday's 130-126 win over the Wizards.
Donovan Mitchell stole the show with a 48-point performance Friday, but Garland still found a way to post a decent stat line despite struggling with his shot. The star floor general has been playing regularly in recent weeks but has faced some limitations, although the fact that he's logged over 30 minutes in his last two games bodes well for the future. Garland has scored at least 15 points in four of his past five outings.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Scores season-high 48 points
Mitchell delivered 48 points (17-31 FG, 8-15 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals across 35 minutes in Friday's 130-126 win over the Wizards.
Mitchell had to step up for the Cavaliers in a game that turned out to be more complicated than expected, and the star guard posted a new season-high scoring mark in this win. This was Mitchell's fourth game with more than 40 points this season.

Cavaliers' Lonzo Ball: Good to go for Friday
Ball (knee/rest) isn't on the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Wizards.
Ball sat out of the second leg of a back-to-back Saturday but will be ready to roll for Friday's clash. He's averaging 3.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.4 steals over his last five appearances.

Cavaliers' Tyrese Proctor: Ready to return
Proctor (personal) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Wizards.
Proctor missed a pair of games while tending to a personal matter, but he'll be available off the bench for Friday's clash. He's averaging 7.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in his last five appearances.

Cavaliers' Sam Merrill: Remaining out vs. Wizards
Merrill (hand) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Washington.
Merrill is in line for his 11th straight absence while recovering from a sprained right hand. His next opportunity for a return will arrive Sunday against the Hornets.

Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Ruled out for Friday
Allen (finger) is out for Friday's game against the Wizards.
Allen managed to practice in full Tuesday, but he's still not yet ready for game action. Thomas Bryant and Dean Wade should continue to pick up the slack in Allen's absence.

Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Goes through practice Tuesday
Allen (finger) fully practiced Tuesday, according to Cavaliers reporter Danny Cunningham.
Allen appears to be trending in the right direction following a five-game absence. The Cavaliers don't play again until Friday against the Wizards, giving the center even more time to ramp back up to 100 percent.
