It looks like we can go ahead and add another name to the most depressing jersey in sports: The Browns' quarterback jersey.

According to ESPN.com, Cody Kessler will be the Browns starting quarterback on Sunday when Cleveland travels to Miami, which will make him the Browns' third different starting quarterback through just three weeks of the season.

It's been a rough two weeks for the Browns and their quarterbacks. The Week 1 starter, Robert Griffin III, was placed on injured reserve after spraining his shoulder in Cleveland's Week 1 loss to Philadelphia.

The injury to RG3 moved Josh McCown into the starting spot for Cleveland's Week 2 game against Baltimore. However, the injury bug hit again when McCown injured his shoulder in the 25-20 loss.

The injuries to McCown and RG3 mean that the Browns are now down to Kessler, who went into the season as the team's third-string quarterback. Kesseler, who taken in third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, will likely be the fourth rookie quarterback to start a game this season.

The former USC star will join Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott. Kessler will also likely join New England's Jacoby Brissett on the list as the Patriots are expected to go with their rookie quarterback in Week 3 after Jimmy Garoppolo injured his shoulder on Sunday.

Coincidentally, Kessler and Brissett were taken just two picks apart in the draft with Brissett going at No. 91 overall and Kessler going at 93.

Kessler almost saw his first action on against the Ravens, but he never got to go in the game because McCown refused to sit on the bench. After being injured in the first quarter, McCown was briefly taken to the locker room. However, he didn't miss a single offensive snap during his brief time away from the sideline.

The rookie quarterback said he would've been ready to play if McCown hadn't been able to return.

"It's a physical game and you always have to be ready," Kessler said after the game, via Cleveland.com. "It's kind of a next-man-up mentality and I prepared as hard as I could all week. I didn't have any nervousness or anxiousness, I was ready to go. Just because of my prep all week and learning from Josh and listening to what he did. watching the reps he did and getting more reps in practice. I felt ready to go. If that did happen, I had the mindset of going in as the starter.''

It's a good thing that Kessler has the mindset of a starter because that's actually his job now.

When Kessler takes his first snap on Sunday, the Browns will become the first team since the 2008 Chiefs to start three different quarterbacks in the first three games of the season.

Oh, and since I mentioned the jersey, here's a list of all 25 players that have started at quarterback for the Browns since 1999. Kessler is the 26th: Tim Couch, Ty Detmer, Doug Pederson, Spergon Wynn, Kelly Holcomb, Jeff Garcia, Luke McCown, Trent Dilfer, Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn, Ken Dorsey, Bruce Gradkowski, Jake Delhomme, Jason Campbell, Colt McCoy, Seneca Wallace, Thad Lewis, Brandon Weeden, Brian Hoyer, Josh McCown, Johnny Manziel, Connor Shaw, Austin Davis, RG3, and now Kessler.
