Danny Trevathan: Released by Bears
The Bears released Trevathan (knee) on Wednesday.
Trevathan appeared in just five games for Chicago, logging 19 tackles (eight solo) before finishing the season on injured reserve due to a knee injury. Since Chicago isn't waiving him in an injury settlement, Trevathan is presumably healthy again heading into the 2022 campaign. After spending the last six seasons with the Bears, the 31-year-old will now attempt to find a new team.

Bears' Danny Trevathan: Ends season on injured reserve
Trevathan (knee) was placed on injured reserve Nov. 19 and ended the season with 19 tackles in five games.
Trevathan was placed on injured reserve twice this season, and he averaged fewer than 15 snaps per game. He's signed through the 2022 season with three void years that expire in 2025. The once-elite IDP will have to return to full health and also reclaim a prominent role to regain the IDP value he once possessed.

Bears' Danny Trevathan: Lands on IR again
Trevathan (knee) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Larry Mayer of the Bears' official website reports.
Trevathan missed the first four games of the season on injured reserve due to a knee injury, so he will now be out for the remainder of the season after landing on injured reserve for the second time this year. The 10-year veteran linebacker appeared in five games this season, registering 19 tackles. In a corresponding move, outside linebacker Cassius Marsh was elevated from Chicago's practice squad to its active roster.
