  • David Bakhtiari: On schedule for return

Bakhtiari (knee) had a positive follow-up exam with Dr. Brian Cole and is on schedule for a 2024 return, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. • David Bakhtiari: Not done yet

  • David Bakhtiari: To be let go

Bakhtiari (knee) will be released by the Packers ahead of the start of the new league year Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Bakhtiari has struggled to stay on the field since suffering an ACL tear in 2020, which has led to him appearing in just 13 games since the injury happened. He missed all but one game in the 2023 campaign after he dealt with swelling in his knee, which led to him undergoing multiple procedures. A three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro in his prime, the veteran offensive lineman has sounded hopeful to be healthy in 2024. If so, he'll have to do so with a new team after spending 11 years in Green Bay.

  • Packers' David Bakhtiari: Undergoing additional knee surgeries

Bakhtiari underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Wednesday, while another procedure is on the docket in the next few weeks that will give him a chance to play at 100 percent next season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The Packers haven't officially ruled out Bakhtiari for the current campaign, as they merely placed him on injured reserve Thursday. Under normal circumstances, he would have a chance to return after missing four games, but Rapoport's report indicates Green Bay's starting left tackle won't be able to do so, either Week 9 against the Rams or for the rest of the season. As long as Bakhtiari is sidelined, Rasheed Walker will nail down left tackle for the team.

  • Packers' David Bakhtiari: Dealing with swelling

Bakhtiari didn't play Sunday against the Falcons because of swelling in his knee according to head coach Matt LaFleur, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
