  • Panthers' Taylor Moton: Active Sunday

Moton (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Packers, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Though he has started all seven games he's played in this year, Moton is expected to back up Yosh Nijman on Sunday, per Gantt, suggesting he's still dealing with the knee issue to some degree. Moton was able to practice on a limited basis Thursday and Friday.

Moton (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Packers. Moton upgraded from from a DNP on Wednesday to limited practice sessions Thursday and Friday, so it appears he's trending toward playing in Sunday's contest. However, if the 31-year-old is sidelined for the second time this season, Yosh Nijman is expected to start at right tackle.

Moton (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Moton was among a couple of Panthers' offensive linemen to suffer an injury in Sunday's loss to the Bills. Moton (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's contest against the Bills, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Moton did not return to the game at the start of the third quarter, replaced by Yosh Nijman at right tackle. The Panthers are now down to just one active reserve offensive lineman, Jake Curhan. Between backup center Austin Corbett and Nijman, the Panthers' line will have to dig deep to counter a Bills defense that just got Michael Hoecht and Larry Ogunjobi back from suspension.

Moton agreed to terms Friday on two-year, $44 million contract extension with Carolina, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Head coach Dave Canales told reporters Monday that Moton (elbow/triceps) is considered day-to-day, Sheena Quick of Fox Sports Radio 1340 reports.
