Cordarrelle Patterson: Officially let go by Pittsburgh
The Steelers released Patterson (undisclosed) on Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Patterson had posted on X on Monday that he was being released, and the official transaction, which gives the Steelers an extra $2.8 million in cap space, became official Tuesday. Patterson has been utilized across multiple positions on offense and has plenty of special-teams experience as a returner, so the veteran should garner interest from teams as the 2025 season approaches.

Cordarrelle Patterson: In line to be released
Patterson (undisclosed) is set to be released by the Steelers, Brooke Pryor of ESPN reports.
Pryor's report cited the source himself: Patterson, who posted on X that the Steelers had released "old washed up" Cordarrelle Patterson "on his day off." Pittsburgh can gain $2.8 million in cap space with the move, per Pryor. During the 2024 regular season with the Steelers, Patterson recorded 135 rushing yards, 80 receiving yards and a score and 240 kickoff-return yards.

Steelers' Cordarrelle Patterson: Doesn't practice Thursday

Head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters that Patterson is considered day-to-day, though the specifics of the injury were not shared.
