  • Cowboys' Jonathan Bullard: Full practice participant Wednesday

Bullard (hamstring) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Bullard was limited to side work during most of training camp and did not play in any of the Cowboys' three preseason games while recovering from a hamstring injury in early August. The rehab work has evidently paid off, and the veteran nose tackle is on track to play in Sunday's regular-season opener against the Giants. Bullard appeared in 15 regular-season games for the Saints in 2025, finishing with 26 tackles (12 solo) and two pass defenses.

  • Cowboys' Jonathan Bullard: Remains with rehab group

Bullard (hamstring) worked with the rehab group Sunday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Bullard has been working with the rehab group since developing hamstring soreness last Tuesday. The team does not seem to view the injury as a large concern and is letting the defensive end take his time to work through the issue. Bullard's absence has allowed other depth members of the Cowboys' defensive line to see increased reps, such as Tommy Dunn and Kelvin Gilliam.

  • Cowboys' Jonathan Bullard: Nursing hamstring soreness

Bullard worked off to the side in Tuesday's training camp due to hamstring soreness, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.

The injury doesn't seem to be a long-term concern, though Bullard's practice participation leading up to the Cowboys' preseason opener against the Seahawks on Saturday, Aug. 15 is worth monitoring. He appeared in 15 regular-season games for the Saints in 2025, and finished with 26 tackles (12 solo) and two pass defenses. Bullard projects to operate in a rotational role at defensive end behind starters Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams.

  • Cowboys' Jonathan Bullard: Lands with Dallas

Bullard signed a one-year deal worth a maximum of $2.5 million with the Cowboys on Saturday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Bullard spent the 2025 season in New Orleans while serving in a rotational role along the defensive line. He logged only 325 defensive snaps -- his lowest since 2022 -- and he may play in a similarly limited fashion in 2026, given the Cowboys' investment in their defensive line in the last two offseasons.

  • Saints' Jonathan Bullard: Signs with New Orleans

Bullard agreed to a deal with the Saints on Saturday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

The defensive end originally visited the team in June and previously played for Saints defensive coordinator Brandon Staley in Chicago, per Garafolo. With the Vikings last year, Bullard started all 17 regular-season games for the first time in his career, recording 41 tackles (21 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and three pass breakups. The veteran should have a chance to compete for a role in New Orleans as well.

  • Vikings' Jonathan Bullard: Starts all 17 games for first time

Bullard finished the 2024 season with 41 tackles (21 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and three pass breakups across 17 regular-season contests.

The 31-year-old defensive tackle started all 17 games for the first time in his career and has developed into a quality defensive lineman in his three years with Minnesota after bouncing around the league with four different teams in his first six seasons. Bullard is scheduled to become a free agent again in March after playing one a one-year, $2.25 million deal in 2024.

  • Vikings' Jonathan Bullard: Two tackles for loss in win

Bullard had two total tackles and two tackles for a loss in Sunday's win over Houston.

Bullard started at left defensive end and played on 23 of the defense's 67 snaps. Despite being a starter, he's playing 40 percent of the snaps on defense through three games as part of the defensive line rotation.

  • Vikings' Jonathan Bullard: Returning to Vikings

Bullard has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Vikings, Dane Mizutani of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Bullard will remain in Minnesota after posting 44 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, in 2023. Both marks were career highs for the 30-year-old Bullard. He'll likely reprise his role as a rotational piece along the defensive line in 2024 after appearing in 29 games (21 starts) for the Vikings over the past two seasons.

  • Vikings' Jonathan Bullard: Role increases in 2023

Bullard logged 44 total tackles, including 2.0 sacks, while also forcing one fumble in 17 games during the 2023 regular season.

The eighth-year pro defensive end started 14 of the Vikings' 17 games, doubling his previous high for most starts in a season. Thanks to the increased opportunities, Bullard set a new career high in tackles but recorded only nine QB pressures in 325 pass rush snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. The 30-year-old is an unrestricted free agent this offseason and will likely be a rotational defensive lineman wherever he lands in 2024.

Bullard (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Lions.

The starting defensive end logged limited practice sessions all week as he dealt with the ankle injury. Bullard has yet to miss a game this season. The eighth-year pro has 39 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, in 2023.
