  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Deal not imminent

Reddick (contract dispute) will miss a second consecutive game Sunday against the Titans, and the defensive end doesn't appear to be close to working out a new contract with the Jets, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Reddick has yet to report to the Jets since the start of training camp and has now racked up north of $8 million in fines, unearned salary and bonus forfeiture while he holds out for a new deal. Given that he hasn't practiced all season and remains in a stalemate with the Jets, Reddick appears safe to rule out through Week 3, when New York will host the Patriots in a Thursday night game.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Likely out Monday

Reddick (contract dispute) is not expected to play in Monday's game in San Francisco, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. No surprise here, as Reddick is still holding out while his agent and the team work on a new contract. There will seemingly need to be some time for the veteran lineman to transition into game shape once a deal is ultimately made. In his assumed absence, Micheal Clemons, Will McDonald and Takkarist McKinley are candidates to see increased snaps.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Holdout continues Friday

Reddick (contract dispute) wasn't spotted at the Jets' team facility Friday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports. Reddick remains away from the Jets during his contract dispute, and at this point, he will almost certainly be unavailable for Monday's Week 1 game against the 49ers. The veteran pass rusher wanted a re-worked deal with the Eagles, who then traded him to the Jets, with whom Reddick has yet to practice. Micheal Clemons, Will McDonald and Takkarist McKinley could all see increased playing time on the edge opposite Jermaine Johnson as a result of Reddick's absence.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Remains away from team

Coach Robert Saleh said Tuesday that the Jets still have no new updates on the status of Reddick, who remains away from the team as Monday's regular-season opener against the 49ers approaches, Ethan B. Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports. Saleh said if Reddick shows up to play Week 1, the team could still opt for him to suit up, if he's deemed to be in game shape after having missed all of training camp. The veteran pass-rusher has already accumulated $2.05 million in fines for missing training camp, per Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, in addition to penalties for missing mandatory minicamp and forfeiting his workout bonus. If Reddick's holdout continues into the regular season, however, he'll be subjected to massive fines of $791,666 per missed game.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Still deadlocked

Reddick still has not reported to the Jets' facility as of Thursday, but general manager Joe Douglas has no plans to trade him, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. Reddick is still holding out for a new contract and has continued to be fined daily for not reporting to training camp. The veteran edge rusher is the 20th highest-paid player at his position but feels like he deserves to be compensated at a higher level. The Temple product still presumably has a chance to suit up Week 1 if he decides to show up in the next few days, but the window is rapidly closing.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Jets won't consider trade

GM Joe Douglas released a statement Monday announcing that New York "will not trade" Reddick after his request to be moved. Douglas' statement also confirms "[Reddick] will continue to be fined per the CBA if he does not report." Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports that the Jets made a contract offer to Reddick, who has one year remaining on his current deal, prior acquiring him via trade from the Eagles, but that the veteran pass rusher turned down that offer. Reddick has since held out of the offseason program and training camp, culminating in his trade request Monday. Unless one side becomes willing to budge, it appears that Reddick's holdout will continue indefinitely.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Requests trade as holdout continues

Reddick (contract dispute), who is holding out of training camp, informed the Jets on Monday that he wishes to be traded, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports. Reddick will almost certainly still want a new deal before suiting up, even if traded to another organization, which figures to complicate any trade negotiations. The 2017 first-round pick has one year remaining on his current deal, but he's declined to attend team activities with New York since joining the club via trade from the Eagles back in March. Reddick is coming off four straight seasons with double-digit sacks, and he was expected to be an integral part of the Jets' defensive front following the departure of Bryce Huff.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Absent from camp

The Jets placed Reddick on the reserve/did not report report list Thursday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. This move comes as no surprise, as Reddick was expected to hold out of training camp in search of a new contract, just as he did during the Jets' OTAs. The 2017 first-round pick was traded from the Eagles to the Jets earlier this offseason in hopes of replacing Bryce Huff, who left in free agency. Reddick has tallied double-digit sacks in each of his last four seasons, so the Jets could be down a vital piece of their defense if he continues holding out.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Not attending minicamp

Reddick is not present for Tuesday's practice, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports. Reddick, who joined the Jets via trade from the Eagles back in March, hasn't attended spring practices with New York as he seeks a new contract. The veteran edge rusher has put together four straight seasons with double-digit sacks, but with only one more year now remaining on his deal, Reddick is looking for an extension. The Jets could be more amendable to keeping Reddick around on a long-term deal after having let Bryce Huff walk in free agency. Per Connor Hughes of SNY.tv, Reddick's current absence goes against previous indications that he would attend his new team's offseason program.

  • Jets' Haason Reddick: Headed to Jets

The Jets acquired Reddick from the Eagles on Friday in exchange for a conditional third-round draft pick, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Per the report, Reddick is expected to agree to a new contract with the Jets, who will reportedly absorb $14.5 million of the edge rusher's salary for the 2024 season. With the move, the Jets add a player who can provide a nice boost to the team's pass rush, on the heels of a 2023 campaign in which Reddick racked up 38 tackles and 11 sacks in 17 regular-season contests with Philadelphia.

  • Eagles' Haason Reddick: Wants to remain in Philly

Reddick said Tuesday that he wishes to remain with the Eagles and "would like to get an extension done," dismissing reports that he'd requested a trade from the team, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports. Reddick said "at no point did I ever tell the [Eagles] I want to be traded," contrary to a Monday report by Tim McManus of ESPN.com which cited a league source. The 29-year-old tallied 11 sacks for Philadelphia in 17 regular-season games this year, his fourth consecutive campaign with double-digit sacks, and during the team's 2022 Super Bowl run he racked up 16 regular-season sacks and 3.5 more across the postseason. Reddick has one year remaining on his contract, with no guaranteed money left, so in order to remain with the Eagles either an extension or a restructured deal could be necessary.

  • Eagles' Haason Reddick: Records double-digit sacks again

Reddick finished the year with 11.0 sacks and 38 tackles in 17 regular-season games. Reddick recorded double-digit sacks for the fourth consecutive season, leading his team in that category and tying for 15th in the NFL. Outside of the sacks, though, Reddick's numbers were poor by his standards. His 38 tackles were the second-lowest mark of his career, and he neither forced nor recovered a fumble after forcing five and recovering three last season. His snap share (74 percent) remained identical, so the drop-off wasn't due to a lack of opportunities.

  • Eagles' Haason Reddick: Dealing with illness

Reddick was estimated as a nonparticipant in Wednesday's practice walkthrough due to an illness. Reddick played his usual allotment of snaps in Sunday's loss to Arizona, but he appears to have since come down with an illness. On a positive note, the fact that the issue has come up early in the week makes it more likely that he'll recover in time to play in Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Giants. Reddick leads Philadelphia with 11.0 sacks on the season, so the Eagles will hope to have him on the field Sunday in a game they must win to have a chance of claiming the NFC East title.

Reddick recorded two tackles (two solo) including a sack in Sunday's 28-23 win versus Dallas. For the second straight game and for the fifth time in his last six games, Reddick added another sack to his season total in Week 9. He's on pace for his fourth consecutive double-digit sack season, and he should be able to tee off in Week 11 when Philadelphia travels to face a pass-heavy Kansas City offense after the Eagles' bye in Week 10.

However, it's still not clear if he's reached full participant status or if he remains limited.

Reddick logged limited practices Wednesday and Thursday due to a knee injury but was a full participant Friday and will be good to go for Week 3. Across the first two games of the season, the veteran linebacker has recorded four tackles and one pass defense across 86 defensive snaps.
