Tripp (concussion) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Kelsey Conway of the Falcons' official site reports.
Tripp has missed the last two games of the season due to the concussion and will now likely be out for the rest of the season. Tripp served as a depth option on the defensive front for the Falcons.

Falcons' Jordan Tripp: Will miss second consecutive game
Head coach Dan Quinn said Tripp (concussion) will be out for Sunday's game against the Jets, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Tripp didn't practice this week, so it isn't a surprise that he'll sit out again Sunday. Since entering the league in 2014, he has rarely been deployed in defensive situations, making him fantasy irrelevant.

Tripp (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Tripp was in the concussion protocol throughout this week of practice, so it's no surprise to see him sidelined for Sunday's contest. The linebacker will have to log at least one practice next week to have a chance to return for Week 8.

The Falcons placed Tripp in the concussion protocol Thursday, Kelsey Conway of the Falcons' official site reports.
Tripp participated fully in the Falcons' first practice of the week Wednesday, but it appears he may have sustained the head injury during a drill. With the Falcons set to face the Patriots on Sunday, Tripp won't have much time to clear all phases of the protocol, making it likely that he'll be inactive for that contest.

Tripp left Saturday's preseason contest in Washington to be checked for a concussion, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
Tripp isn't set up for many defensive snaps with Jake Ryan (shoulder), Blake Martinez and Joe Thomas all at inside linebacker, along with Clay Matthews occasionally shifting inside as well. When healthy, Tripp is expected to slot into the lineup as a specialist.

After joining the Packers in mid-December last season, Tripp appeared in the team's final two regular-season contests as well as all three postseason games but logged just five tackles along the way. He'll likely remain in a rotational role at inside linebacker next season and see the majority of his action on special teams.

Tripp, a third-year linebacker out of Montana, landed on IR at the beginning of December due to a deep thigh bruise. He recorded just one tackle in seven appearances this season.
