A.J. Bouye: Let go by Panthers
Carolina released Bouye (foot) on Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Bouye missed the final four games of the 2021 campaign due to a foot injury, but there was optimism he could return before the end of the season, so health shouldn't interfere with his prospects on the open market. The 30-year-old cornerback could now be on track to suit up for his fourth different team in as many years.

Bouye (foot) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
Coach Matt Rhule said Monday there was hope Bouye might be able to play Sunday against the Buccaneers, but the shift to injured reserve instead ends the cornerback's regular season. The Panthers will need to make the playoffs for Bouye to have a chance of seeing the field again this year.

Panthers' A.J. Bouye: Expected to play Sunday
Bouye (coach's decision) is expected to play Sunday at Dallas, according to Joe Person of The Athletic.
Carolina's head coach Matt Rhule said he expects Bouye to feature Sunday in what would be the season debut for the veteran cornerback. Bouye missed the first two contests of the season due to an existing suspension that extended into 2021 and was apparently dealing with a soft-tissue injury over the last few days, but the coach's words make it fairly clear that he's going to take the field at some point Sunday.

Panthers' A.J. Bouye: Season debut delayed
