Dolphins' Anthony Walker: Nabs first interception of season
Walker recorded nine tackles (three solo) and an interception during Monday's 23-15 win against the Rams.
Walker was in the right place at the right time toward the end of the first quarter of Monday's game after a Matthew Stafford pass was deflected at the line of scrimmage, and he earned his first interception since 2020 when he was with Indianapolis. He'll look to build on his momentum in Week 11 versus the Raiders.

Dolphins' Anthony Walker: Will continue to be starter
Speaking with the media Friday, Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver said Walker will continue to start at linebacker ahead of David Long, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
The Dolphins made the lineup change last Sunday against the Bills, and Walker ended up leading the team with 10 tackles (four solo) while playing all 59 defensive snaps. Long played zero defensive snaps and 15 on special teams after being an every-down linebacker earlier in the season. It's a big change for IDP players.

Dolphins' Anthony Walker: Dolphins' leading tackler in loss
Walker recorded 10 tackles (four solo) during Sunday's 30-27 loss at Buffalo.
Walker played all 59 of Miami's defensive snaps in Week 9, and he turned in his highest single-game tackle total of the season thus far. It looks like he may have permanently supplanted David Long as a starter at inside linebacker, which would put him on the IDP radar for a Week 10 matchup against the Rams.

Dolphins' Anthony Walker: Good to go for Week 1
Walker (knee) was a full participant for Thursday's practice session, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Walker was limited Wednesday due to a knee issue, but the 2017 fifth-round pick practiced with no restrictions Thursday and appears to be good to go for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Jaguars. Walker appeared in 12 regular-season games for the Browns last season, finishing with 44 tackles (23 solo), four passes defended, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.

Dolphins' Anthony Walker: Held out Monday
Walker (undisclosed) didn't practice Monday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
The Dolphins signed a pair of new inside linebackers in Walker and Jordyn Brooks (undisclosed) in early March, but each offseason acquisition is now dealing with an injury. Head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters Monday that he expects Walker to return "sooner than later," so the 28-year-old's injury is likely minor. However, it's definitely something to monitor as the preseason continues.

Dolphins' Anthony Walker: To sign with Dolphins
Miami plans to sign Walker to a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Walker missed the final stretch of the 2023 season due to a knee injury that landed him on Cleveland's injured reserve list, but he's now set to get a fresh start with the Dolphins in 2024. Miami is also in line to bring aboard Jordyn Brooks at linebacker next year.

Browns' Anthony Walker: Won't need surgery
Walker will not need surgery to repair a knee injury that put him on IR on Jan. 5 and ended his season early, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.
Walker last played Week 14 against the Jaguars, and after missing multiple games, was eventually put on injured reserve. According to Trotter, Walker stated he could have returned in another month, so it sounds like he should be cleared for any offseason activities. The 28-year-old is set to be a free agent once again, after spending each of the previous three seasons in Cleveland on one-year deals.
