Chiefs' Chris Jones: Avoids injury designation
Jones (hamstring) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Titans.
Jones was a limited participant in practice to open the week, but with full participation Friday, he is ready to go in the Chiefs' Week 16 matchup Sunday. The 31-year-old has not missed a game this season, accounting for 22 tackles (11 solo), including 4.0 sacks, and two pass breakups in 14 starts.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Limited at practice
Jones (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
Jones went without a tackle for the first time this season in the Chiefs' 16-13 loss to the Chargers in Week 15, and he may have left he contest a little worse for wear. The defensive lineman will have two more chances to move past the hamstring injury and log a full practice prior to Sunday's matchup with the Titans.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Remains in line to play Sunday
The Chiefs added Jones to their injury report while he tends to a personal matter, but the defensive lineman doesn't have an official designation for Sunday's game against the Ravens and is on track to rejoin the team in Kansas City in advance of the contest, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Jones is currently in Mississippi to attend a funeral, but he's set to take a flight back to Kansas City immediately following the ceremony and will be back with the Chiefs ahead of Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Through three games, Jones has notched 1.0 sacks among his five tackles while playing 163 total snaps.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Two tackles vs. Bolts
Jones recorded two assisted tackles during the Chiefs' 27-21 loss to the Chargers on Friday.
Jones played 51 of 63 defensive snaps Friday, which was far more than backup defensive tackles Jerry Tillery (30) and Derrick Nnadi (26). The Chiefs were without rookie second-rounder Omarr Norman-Lott (ankle) on Friday, so Jones' snap count could be more balanced if the former returns for Week 2 against the Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 14.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Restructures contract
Kansas City restructured Jones' contract Wednesday, Adam Teicher of ESPN reports.
Along with the restructuring of teammate Patrick Mahomes' contract, the Chiefs have freed up nearly $50 million in cap space with the move. Now there will be more space on the books for recent free-agent acquisition Kristian Fulton, who will be joining Jones on Kansas City's starting defensive unit in 2025.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Another All-Pro campaign
Jones (knee) finished the 2024 regular season with 37 tackles (19 solo), including 5.0 sacks, and a forced fumble in 15 games.
As usual with Jones, the stats didn't tell the whole story: He was named a first-team All-Pro for the third year in a row. The defensive tackle also played on more than 70 percent of the defensive snaps in all 15 regular-season games he played in. The six-time All-Pro signed a five-year, $158.75 million contract with the Chiefs last March, and he will look to maintain his high level of play in 2025.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Unlikely to return to Super Bowl
Jones (knee) is doubtful to return to Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles.
Jones went down with a right knee injury in the third quarter and was evaluated by trainers on the sideline. Derrick Nnadi and Mike Pennel will see more snaps at defensive tackle if Jones doesn't return.
