49ers' Kendrick Bourne: Larger role on tap sans Pearsall
Bourne is poised to take on a larger role against the Colts on Monday after Ricky Pearsall (knee/ankle) was officially ruled out, Matt Barrows of The Athletic reports.
Bourne has seen his usage on offense fluctuate over the course of the regular season, but his most productive stints came when Pearsall was sidelined for six games due to a separate knee injury. That included back-to-back games in which Bourne recorded 142 receiving yards in Weeks 5 and 6, though he hasn't accumulated more than 50 yards in any of his other 11 regular-season games. He sits at 499 receiving yards through 13 regular-season games, and he needs just one more yard to earn a $500,000 bonus, per Vic Tafur of The Athletic.

49ers' Kendrick Bourne: Re-emerges in slot role
Bourne had two receptions (on three targets) for 17 yards in Sunday's 37-24 win over the Titans.
Bourne jumped back up to third on San Francisco's receiver depth chart while logging 33 snaps on offense (45 percent) Sunday. The 29-year-old also nabbed his first reception since Week 10 after seemingly falling out of favor midseason. If Bourne continues to operate as the 49ers' third receiver down the stretch, then desperate fantasy managers in deeper formats could take a look at the veteran against the Colts next Monday, especially if starter Ricky Pearsall (ankle/knee) is limited by a couple of minor injuries that cropped up in Week 15's win.

49ers' Kendrick Bourne: First target since Week 10
Bourne was held without a catch (one target) in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Browns.
Bourne was targeted for the first time since Week 10 in Sunday's road victory, but he failed to haul in his only opportunity across 23 snaps played on offense (34 percent). The veteran wideout has been relegated to No. 4 on the depth chart ever since Ricky Pearsall returned from a knee injury Week 11. Bourne should remain a fantasy afterthought when the 49ers return from the upcoming bye week to face the Titans on Sunday, Dec. 14.

49ers' Kendrick Bourne: Barely sees field on MNF
Bourne was not targeted as a receiver in Monday's 20-9 win over the Panthers.
Bourne was on the field for just six offensive snaps (nine percent) against Carolina, failing to draw a target during his brief appearance in the primetime tilt, and the 29-year-old was marginalized completely with Ricky Pearsall returning from a knee injury in Week 12. Bourne had a brief run of fantasy utility earlier this season when the 49ers' receiver room was plagued by injuries, but it would require another absence from one of the team's starters for a similar situation to repeat itself. Even deep-league managers can safely move on from Bourne ahead of Sunday's matchup in Cleveland, if they haven't done so already.

49ers' Kendrick Bourne: Falls out of favor Sunday
Bourne was not targeted as a receiver in Sunday's 41-22 win over the Cardinals.
Bourne saw his target share evaporate completely after recording just one catch in the 49ers' last contest. The healthy return of Ricky Pearsall (knee) was the primary reason for the fill-in starter's demotion. Bourne was on the field for 13 snaps on offense (24 percent), finishing behind third-string wideout Demarcus Robinson (29 percent) in the pecking order for playing time. If any managers were still hanging on to Bourne following his brief run of fantasy utility earlier in the schedule, they can safely move off the veteran ahead of next Monday's tilt against Carolina.
