Buffalo has placed Thomas (knee) on its injured reserve list, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
Thomas had been nursing a knee injury that forced him to miss practice time, and finally was forced to make the move to IR. He was viewed as a longshot to make the roster, so his absence shouldn't be a huge loss to the Bills' defense.

Thomas did not practice Thursday due to a knee injury, Jay Skurski of The Buffalo News reports.
Thomas re-joined the Bills at the tail end of last season after being cut by the team in October. He was already viewed as a longshot to make the final roster, so an injury won't do him any favors.
