Fantasy Football 12-team Superflex league draft results, recap: See how FFT drafts against each other

The challenge of any Superflex draft is when you want to commit to selecting your quarterbacks. Some managers will start their team QB-QB with their first two picks. Other managers might wait on quarterback and load up with talented players at other spots.

There's no right way to draft quarterbacks in a Superflex league, and different strategies might appeal to you. With that in mind, you came to the right place with this 12-team, Superflex draft.

I encourage you to study all the results of this draft, but let's look at what Adam Aizer did from the No. 4 spot, as well as what Jake Grogins did from No. 10 overall. Jake went QB-QB with his first two picks with Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield, and those were the only two quarterbacks he drafted.

Jake has a solid receiving corps with Ladd McConkey, Garrett Wilson, Tetairoa McMillan, Rashee Rice, Wan'Dale Robinson and Marquise Brown. And Jake is loaded at tight end with Trey McBride and Tyler Warren. 

But Jake's running back corps is a little weak with Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, Jerome Ford, Tyjae Spears and Rhamondre Stevenson. He will likely need the waiver wire to help him at this position.

Adam waited until Round 5 to get C.J. Stroud as his first quarterback, and then he selected Cam Ward in Round 6. He also added Aaron Rodgers, Joe Flacco and Spencer Rattler as reserves, so his quarterback room is deep.

By waiting on quarterbacks, Adam was able to draft Ja'Marr Chase, Ashton Jeanty, A.J. Brown and Kyren Williams with his first four picks, which is awesome. And Adam still landed Isiah Pacheco, Javonte Williams and Brian Robinson Jr. at running back, along with Quentin Johnston as a reserve receiver. Tucker Kraft is his tight end.

Adam has enough depth at quarterback that his strategy to wait on the position should work out, and he also has some trade chips. Knowing Adam, he will try to trade a quarterback early in the season for some receiver depth or an upgrade elsewhere.

Of these two rosters, I prefer what Adam did, but both strategies could work out. I took a different approach from the No. 11 spot by waiting until Round 4 with my first quarterback in Jordan Love. This was after I started my team with Christian McCaffrey, Nico Collins and Drake London with my first three picks.

I then locked down my second and third quarterbacks with my next two picks in Rounds 5 and 6 with J.J. McCarthy and Bryce Young, and I added a fourth quarterback in Round 14 with Giants rookie Jaxson Dart. If (when) Dart starts this season, he could be a trade option to improve my roster at another spot.

The rest of my roster includes David Montgomery, Zach Charbonnet, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Dylan Sampson at running back, and I have Emeka Egbuka, Demario Douglas and Romeo Doubs as my other receivers. Evan Engram is my tight end.

These are three different ways to build your team in a Superflex league. And I hope whatever strategy you use helps you win a championship this season.

As a reference point for this mock draft, all touchdowns are worth six points, and we award one point for every 10 yards rushing and receiving and one point for every 25 yards passing. We also award one point for every reception. We feature a starting lineup of QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, FLEX (RB/WR/TE), Superflex (QB/RB/WR/TE), DST and K with six reserves for a 17-round draft.
