Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Lands on IR, designated to return
The Lions placed Moseley (pectoral) on injured reserve Tuesday and designated him to return.
Moseley tore his pec during a practice in early August and is expected to be sidelined for an extended period. Under a new NFL rule, the Lions were able to exclude him from the 53-man roster on cutdown day and place him on IR while designating him to return. As such, Moseley will be eligible to return after missing Detroit's first four games of the season.

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Out indefinitely with torn pec
Moseley (pectoral) suffered a torn pec during Tuesday's practice and is out indefinitely, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Moseley continues to deal with brutal injury luck, after having suffered torn ACLs in each of the last two seasons. The Lions re-signed him on a one-year prove-it contract this offseason, but Moseley's status is now up in the air for the 2024 season. Last year, C.J. Gardner-Johnson (shoulder) suffered a torn pectoral in September while a member of the Lions, and he wasn't able to retake the field until January. Moseley hasn't been given a recovery timetable but doesn't seem likely to be available Week 1 versus the Rams.
