    The Cardinals placed Barton (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday. Barton was already ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale against the 49ers. His placement on IR allowed Arizona to sign safety Andre Chachere from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday. Barton appeared in four regular-season games for the Cardinals, including two starts at right tackle.

  • Cardinals' Jackson Barton: Ruled out for Week 18

    Barton (ankle) was downgraded to out Saturday ahead of Sunday's game versus the 49ers, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Barton popped up on the injury report Friday due to an ankle issue and was initially deemed questionable for Sunday. However, the injury is severe enough that he's been ruled out with over 24 hours to go before kickoff. Per Bo Brack of GoPHNX.com, rookie Christian Jones is expected to make his first career NFL start Sunday in Barton's stead.

    Barton suffered a toe injury and did not return to Sunday's 20-13 loss to the Lions. Barton played right tackle Sunday in place of the injured Kelvin Beachum. Beachum had taken over for Jonah Williams, who is now on IR. The Cardinals' injury situation at right tackle will be worth monitoring this week.

  • Cardinals' Jackson Barton: Headed to Arizona

    The Cardinals signed Barton to a one-year deal Friday, Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic reports. Barton spent the past two seasons with Raiders and appeared in eight games, and he'll be staying out west to play for the Cardinals in 2023. The 2019 seventh-round pick can play either left or right tackle and will hope to provide solid depth next season.
