  • Browns' David Njoku: Looks like game-time call Sunday

Njoku remains listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, but his status won't be determined until after he tests out his hamstring in a pregame workout, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Njoku didn't practice at all this week due to a hamstring issue, and while that lack of activity is normally a sign that a player won't be available on game day, the Browns are still giving him a chance to prove that he's healthy enough to suit up. Fantasy managers shouldn't expect an official word on the veteran tight end's status until the Browns release their inactive list about 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. If Njoku doesn't suit up, Jordan Akins would likely serve as the Browns' top tight end.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Hopes to play Sunday

Njoku, who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, said Friday that he's dealing with tightness in his hamstring but hopes to play this weekend, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. After coach Kevin Stefanski deemed Njoku day-to-day due to a hamstring injury Wednesday, the tight end proceeded to sit out all three Week 15 practices. The Browns are keeping the door open for Njoku to suit up this weekend, and he even noted Friday that the team will have a better idea of his status Sunday morning, implying his availability will be tied to a pregame workout. Ultimately, Cleveland will reveal whether or not Njoku will be able to play about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Questionable to face Kansas City

Njoku (hamstring) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com and Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram report. Njoku didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday and also wasn't spotted at Friday's session, per Oyefusi, but the tight end evidently has a chance to suit up Sunday. Look for added context regarding his Week 15 status to arrive prior to the Browns' 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, but heading into the weekend, Jordan Akins and Blake Whiteheart are the team's top healthy and available TE options.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Still not practicing

Njoku (hamstring) remained sidelined at practice Friday, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports. Njoku also missed practice Wednesday and Thursday, and the tight end's continued absence Friday doesn't bode well for his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Chiefs. If Njoku is ruled out for the contest, Jordan Akins and Blake Whiteheart would be in line to see added Week 15 snaps, with Tre' McKitty and Cameron Latu representing potential practice-squad elevations.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Another missed practice

Njoku (hamstring) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Back-to-back absences from practice cloud Njoku's status for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, with offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey noting Thursday that if the Browns' top tight end is unavailable this weekend, the team would employ a committee approach at the position, per Cabot. In that scenario, Jordan Akins and Blake Whiteheart would see added Week 15 opportunities, with Tre' McKitty and Cameron Latu being potential practice-squad elevations.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Scores again

Njoku recorded seven receptions on 13 targets for 42 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Steelers. Njoku led the Browns in targets and receptions, though he was held to short yardage for much of the game. He broke that trend with a leaping 15-yard touchdown grab midway through the fourth quarter, and he now has three touchdowns across his last two games. Njoku has also emerged as a clear favorite target of Jameis Winston, combining to command 30 targets in that same two-contest span while seeing at least nine opportunities in three of his last four contests.

  • Browns' David Njoku: TEs to Start

Njoku has scored at least 19.1 PPR points in two of his past three games, and he had a dominant outing in Week 13 at Denver with nine catches for 52 yards and two touchdowns on 17 targets. He has at least seven targets in four of five starts with Jameis Winston, and he should continue to look for Njoku often at Pittsburgh in Week 14. Now, Njoku was awful against the Steelers in Week 12 in the snow with one catch for 9 yards on five targets, but I expect a better performance from him in the rematch. Three tight ends have scored at least 10.3 PPR points against Pittsburgh in the past six games.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Pair of TDs in loss

Njoku brought in nine of 17 targets for 52 yards and two touchdowns in the Browns' 41-32 loss to the Broncos on Monday night. Njoku recorded his first touchdown since Jameis Winston's first game as a starter in Week 8 when he brought in an eight-yard grab late in the first quarter to erase an early 7-0 deficit and added a four-yard touchdown reception to cap off an 11-play, 70-yard march late in the first half. Njoku also was the target on Winston's third and final interception of the night with 44 seconds remaining, and he led the Browns in targets with a career-high figure. The veteran tight end will look to build on his second nine-catch effort of the last three games when Cleveland faces the Steelers on the road Week 14.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Modest numbers in win

Njoku brought in one of five targets for nine yards and caught a two-point conversion pass in the Browns' 24-19 win over the Steelers on Thursday night. Njoku's inefficient night could have been much better had he reeled in a would-be touchdown pass from Jameis Winston early in the fourth quarter that hit the veteran tight end right in the hands before slipping away. Njoku partly made up for it with a leaping two-point conversion grab two plays later following a Winston touchdown run. Njoku's reception total tied a season low, while his yardage total was his sparsest of the campaign. However, he should have nowhere to go but up in a Week 13 road matchup against the Broncos on Monday night, Dec. 2 as long as the weather is better than the blizzard-like conditions Thursday's contest was primarily played in.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Cleared to play Thursday

Njoku (knee) doesn't have an injury designation for Thursday's game against the Steelers, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports. The Browns listed Njoku as a full practice participant Wednesday, so he should be ready to handle his usual role Thursday. As productive as he's been since Jameis Winston took over as the Browns' starting quarterback beginning in Week 8, Njoku faces a couple of relevant obstacles Week 12. Not only will be taking aim at a tough Pittsburgh defense, but the forecast in Cleveland on Thursday night is calling for cold, windy and wet conditions.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Maintains limited practice activity

The Browns listed Njoku (knee) as a limited practice participant Tuesday. With limited listings on the Browns' first two Week 12 injury reports, Njoku may need to upgrade to full participation Wednesday in order to avoid carrying a questionable tag into Thursday's game against the Steelers. Either way, the Browns haven't suggested that Njoku is any real danger of sitting out against Pittsburgh.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Listed as limited on practice report

The Browns listed Njoku as a limited participant on Monday's estimated practice report due to a knee injury, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Cleveland didn't hold a practice session one day after Sunday's 35-14 loss to New Orleans, but Njoku would have had his reps capped had the Browns taken the field. The Browns aren't likely to hold anything more than walk-through sessions or light practices Tuesday and Wednesday, but assuming Njoku is listed as either a limited or full participant on those days, he should be ready to play in Thursday's game against the Steelers. In the three games since Jameis Winston has taken over for Deshaun Watson (Achilles) as the Browns' starting quarterback, Njoku has strung together a 19-171-1 line on 23 targets.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Nine grabs in Sunday's loss

Njoku caught all nine of his targets for 81 yards in Sunday's 35-14 loss to the Saints. The tight end led the Browns in receptions, and Njoku has caught at least five passes in all three games that Jameis Winston has started for Cleveland. He's amassed a 19-171-1 line on 23 targets over that stretch, and the team's closing schedule is a promising one for TE production. Njoku will look to keep rolling in Week 12 against a Steelers defense that just allowed the duo of Isaiah Likely and Mark Andrews to combine for six catches and 97 yards against it.

  • Browns' David Njoku: TEs to Start

Njoku has been great since Amari Cooper was traded from Cleveland to Buffalo, and I expect Njoku to have another solid outing in Week 11 coming off Cleveland's bye. In three games without Cooper, Njoku has 20 catches, 166 yards and two touchdowns on 28 targets, and hopefully he's building a strong connection with Jameis Winston. This week, Njoku is facing a Saints defense that has allowed seven tight ends to score at least 9.1 PPR points, and I like Njoku as a top-five Fantasy option in all leagues.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Misses Thursday's practice

Njoku (ankle) missed practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Njoku practiced fully Wednesday, so his addition to the Browns' injury report a day later is notable. As Cabot notes, the tight end dealt with an ankle issue earlier this season, but it's unclear at this stage if his absence from Thursday's session is maintenance-related or indicative of a setback. Look for added context on that front to arrive no later than Friday, when the Browns practice again.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Another strong performance

Njoku recorded five receptions on seven targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-24 win over the Ravens. Njoku remained heavily involved in the offense, drawing at least seven targets for the third straight game. He did the majority of his damage against the Ravens on a pair of long grabs, the first being a 20-yard gain midway through the first quarter and the latter a 23-yard touchdown catch two quarters later. Njoku has a consistent role in the Cleveland offense and has shown improved efficiency with Jameis Winston under center, signaling the potential for a very productive second half of the season.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Top DFS Play

Njoku's price hasn't adjusted to his new reality. We expect Jameis Winston to start, and we expect Winston to be better than Watson has been this season. Winston has also traditionally been more likely to target tight ends than Watson. Without Cooper and against a pass-funnel defense that just allowed Cade Otton to score 18 Fantasy points, expect Njoku to be the best cash game option in DFS. I'll play him in some tournaments as well, even with his projected high roster rate.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Role enhanced following trade

Njoku is expected to be a target leader for the Browns after the team traded Amari Cooper to Buffalo on Tuesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. Cooper's departure reverberates through the wide receiver room, creating a new order on the depth chart, but don't sleep on the benefit that will accrue to Njoku. He led the Browns in targets and catches in Sunday's loss to the Eagles, his first full game of the season. In addition to Njoku's enhanced role, Jerry Jeudy steps into the role as the No. 1 receiver. Elijah Moore and Cedric Tillman will get more playing time, but the early read is that Njoku and Jeudy will be the primary beneficiaries of the trade.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Team-high five grabs in loss

Njoku caught five of seven targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Eagles. The tight end led the Browns in catches and targets, but the volume didn't amount to much with quarterback Deshaun Watson still not showing much of an ability to stretch the field. Coach Kevin Stefanski is sticking with Watson under center, per Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer, which could at least give Njoku a solid PPR floor as long as he can stay healthy. He'll try to build on this effort in Week 7 against the Bengals.

  • Browns' David Njoku: Suiting up against Eagles

Njoku (knee/ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports. Njoku will suit up despite being limited in practice both Thursday and Friday after sitting out Wednesday. He has yet to play a full game without leaving due to injury this season, limiting Njoku to five catches for 58 yards in 2024 after he posted 81 catches for 882 yards in the 2023 regular season.
