  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Modest output in loss

Gesicki brought in four of nine targets for 30 yards in the Bengals' 35-34 loss to the Ravens on Thursday night. Gesicki was third on the team in targets with a figure that also tied his season high, but unlike other games when Tee Higgins (quadricep) has been sidelined, Gesicki couldn't do much with the opportunity. The veteran tight end's yardage total was his fifth of 30 yards or less this season, and assuming Higgins is back to full health for a Week 11 road matchup against the Chargers on Sunday night, Nov. 17, Gesicki could revert to a much smaller role.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: TEs to Start

Gesicki has done well so far this season when Tee Higgins is hurt, and Higgins (quadriceps) isn't expected to play in Week 10 at Baltimore. Higgins has missed four games this season, and Gesicki has scored at least 12.3 PPR points in three of those outings. In Week 9 against Las Vegas with Higgins out, Gesicki had five catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns on six targets. The Ravens have allowed two tight ends in the past three games to score at least 17.1 PPR points, and I like Gesicki as a top-five Fantasy tight end in all leagues.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Week 10 Streamers (TE Preview)

If Tee Higgins is out, then George Kittle, Cade Otton, Travis Kelce, and Trey McBride are the only tight ends I would rather start than Gesicki. If Higgins is back, I would rather add and start Taysom Hill.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Week 10 Waiver Priority List

Tee Higgins (quadriceps) could be out again Thursday at Baltimore, and if that happens, then Gesicki is a must-start tight end in all leagues. Higgins has missed four games this season, and Gesicki has scored at least 12.3 PPR points in three of those outings. In Week 9 against Las Vegas with Higgins out, Gesicki had five catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns on six targets. It will be tough to trust Gesicki when Higgins is healthy, but given the short week, Gesicki is worth adding in all leagues for at least 10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Comes alive with late TDs

Gesicki secured five of six targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals' 41-24 win over the Raiders on Sunday. Gesicki was the surprise leader in receiving yards on the afternoon for the Bengals, but he'd never gotten close had it not been for the 58 yards he gained on his two second-half touchdown grabs, the latter an impressive 47-yard catch and run with 5:37 remaining to put the game definitively out of reach. Gesicki has consistently delivered strong performances whenever Tee Higgins (quadricep) has been sidelined, and he may have another opportunity to take the field without his teammate due to the short turnaround before a Week 10 road matchup against the Ravens on Thursday night.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Sleeper TEs

Tee Higgins (quad) is listed as doubtful and not expected to play in Week 9. That makes Gesicki a borderline starter in all leagues. In his last two games without Higgins, Gesicki has combined for 14 catches for 164 yards, and he scored at least 12.3 PPR points in each outing against Kansas City in Week 2 and Philadelphia in Week 8. Joe Burrow likes to use Gesicki as the No. 2 option in the passing game behind Ja'Marr Chase anytime Higgins is out, so this is a good week to trust Gesicki if you need a tight end.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

This post will change depending on the health of Tee Higgins (quad). If Higgins plays in Week 9 against the Raiders then you should ignore Gesicki in the majority of leagues. But if Higgins is out for the second game in a row then consider Gesicki a borderline starter in all leagues. In his last two games without Higgins, Gesicki has combined for 14 catches for 164 yards, and he scored at least 12.3 PPR points in each outing against Kansas City in Week 2 and Philadelphia in Week 8. Joe Burrow likes to use Gesicki as the No. 2 option in the passing game behind Ja'Marr Chase anytime Higgins is out, so keep an eye on the injury report prior to Sunday.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Week 9 Waiver Priority List

Gesicki is only worth adding if Tee Higgins (quadriceps) is out again in Week 9 against the Raiders. Higgins has missed three games this season, and in two of them, Gesicki has scored at least 12.3 PPR points, including Week 8 against Philadelphia when he had seven catches for 73 yards on eight targets. Keep an eye on the injury report, and Gesicki is worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Breakout effort in loss

Gesicki secured seven of eight targets for 73 yards in the Bengals' 37-17 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. He also lost a fumble. Gesicki was the surprise leader for the Bengals in receiving yards while checking in second to Ja'Marr Chase in both receptions and targets as well. The veteran tight end had logged under 20 snaps in each of his previous two games while logging just one reception for minus-2 yards in that span, but Tee Higgins' (quadriceps) absence likely played a part in the unexpected surge. Gesicki could remain similarly involved in a Week 9 home matchup against the Raiders if his teammate logs a second straight absence.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Plays just 16 snaps

Gesicki played only 16 offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Browns, catching one pass for two yards. He also recovered a late onside kick attempt by the Browns. This was the fewest number of snaps for Gesicki, and his smallest snap share (16 percent) of the year. This was in part due to the Bengals' run-heavy game script, as they barely attempted to throw the ball after they got off to a 21-6 lead, but also due to the ascension of rookie Erick All up the depth chart. Presumably both tight ends will see a more favorable game script in Week 8 against the Eagles.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Not targeted against Giants

Gesicki failed to record a single target in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Giants Gesicki played just 19 of the Bengals' 53 offensive snaps against the Giants, his second-lowest snap total of the season. Meanwhile, Drew Sample (26) and Erick All (23) were on the field more than the 29-year-old Gesicki. Sunday marked the first contest in which Gesicki was held without a catch, coinciding with All's ascension to the top spot on the depth chart as Cincinnati's preferred pass-catching option. Gesicki should be left off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 7 matchup against the Browns.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Clear for Week 6

Gesicki (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's contest at the Giants. Gesicki was held out of Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring issue before returning as a limited participant one day later. With his status cleared up for Week 6 action, he'll continue to serve as one of the tight ends available to QB Joe Burrow, which so far has amounted to a 17-178-0 line on 21 targets through five games.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Back at practice

Gesicki (hamstring) returned to a limited practice Thursday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports. Gesicki didn't practice Wednesday, so the tight end's activity a day later -- albeit in a capped fashion -- has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. However, he'll presumably need to practice fully Friday in order to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Dealing with hamstring issue

Gesicki didn't practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports. Gesicki was on the field for 29 of the Bengals' 67 snaps on offense in this past Sunday's 41-38 overtime loss to the Ravens, finishing with two catches for 31 yards on two targets. After logging 18 targets in his first three games this season, the veteran has seen just three over his last two outings, with the emergence of rookie Erick All (14-92-0 receiving line on 14 targets over the last four games) having begun to hamper Gesicki's fantasy upside.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Targeted twice against Ravens

Gesicki secured both of his targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 41-38 overtime loss to the Ravens. Gesicki played 29 of the Bengals' 67 offensive snaps Sunday while rookie tight end Erick All was on the field for 35 snaps. The rookie has now played more snaps that Gesicki in both of the past two weeks. The 29-year-old veteran could continue to see his role diminish with the emergence of All, not to mention the fact that head coach Zac Taylor has also kept a third tight end (Drew Sample) regularly involved on offense.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Sleeper TEs

Gesicki remained relevant in Week 3 against Washington despite Tee Higgins making his 2024 debut with four catches for 47 yards on five targets. This week, he's facing a Carolina defense that is the only team to allow multiple touchdowns to tight ends this year. Gesicki should be considered a low-end starting option in all leagues.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Four grabs in loss

Gesicki caught four of his five targets for 47 yards in Monday's 38-33 loss to the Commanders. Gesicki continued to be involved Monday and was one of five Cincinnati pass catchers to draw at least five targets. The veteran tight end has now seen at least four targets in each of the first three games. Gesicki also led all Cincinnati tight ends in playing time, logging 31 of the team's offensive snaps while Drew Sample played 25 and Erick All played 21. The 28-year-old has produced a respectable 14-156-0 receiving line through three games, but he may not make for a comfortable option in fantasy lineups until he secures a greater share of the snaps at tight end.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Sleeper TEs

Even though Tee Higgins (hamstring) is expected to play Monday night against Washington, Gesicki is still worth using as a streamer in all leagues. He looked great in Week 2 at Kansas City with seven catches for 91 yards on nine targets with Higgins out. Gesicki also had three catches for 18 yards on four targets in Week 1 against New England, and he had a touchdown negated in that game due to a penalty. We'll see what happens with Gesicki when everyone is healthy for Cincinnati, but it appears like he's establishing a nice rapport with Joe Burrow. And this is a solid matchup for him in Week 3 against the Commanders.

  • Bengals' Mike Gesicki: Status quo with limited practice

Gesicki (calf) remained limited in practice Friday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports. Gesicki has logged back-to-back limited sessions as the Bengals prepare to face the Commanders on Monday. He'll look to raise his participation and avoid Saturday's injury report altogether, which would be a relief for Gesicki's fantasy managers, as alternatives will be limited for those relying on Gesicki to fill a lineup spot Monday.
