  • Broncos' Justin Strnad: Won't play Week 16

Strnad (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

Strnad was unable to practice all week due to a foot injury, and his next opportunity to play will be Thursday against the Chiefs. Without Strnad, the Broncos will have one less contributor on special teams and have less depth in their linebacker corps.

  • Broncos' Justin Strnad: Doesn't practice Wednesday

Strnad (foot) did not practice Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.

Strnad was removed from the Broncos' Week 15 win over the Packers aftering injuring his right ankle and did not return. He's opened Week 16 prep with a DNP due to a listed foot issue, and he'll have two more opportunities to practice and have a chance at playing Sunday against the Jaguars. Strnad has seen his playing time on defense decrease since mid-October after Dre Greenlaw was activated from injured reserve, so the former has worked mostly in a rotational role on defense and as a contributor on special teams.

  • Broncos' Justin Strnad: Leaves game with ankle injury

Strnad (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Packers, James Palmer of The Athletic reports.

Strnad was unable to walk off the field under his own power after injuring his ankle in the first quarter. Jordan Turner will step into a larger rotational role at inside linebacker behind Alex Singleton and Dre Greenlaw for as long as Strnad is out of the game.
