Chinn registered 17 tackles (eight solo) during the Raiders' 31-14 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
It was another productive performance for Chinn, who finished Sunday's game with a career-high 17 tackles while playing every single defensive snap for the 12th time this season. The 2020 second-rounder has accumulated 93 tackles (52 solo), two pass defenses and two forced fumbles through 12 regular-season games, and Chinn is on track to surpass the career-best tackle total (117) he set in both 2020 and 2024 with the Panthers and Commanders, respectively.

Raiders' Jeremy Chinn: Forces turnover in Week 12 loss
Chinn posted six tackles (three solo) and a forced fumble during the Raiders' 24-10 loss to the Browns on Sunday.
Chinn briefly left Sunday's game due to an undisclosed injury early in the first quarter, but he was quickly cleared to return and finished the contest tied with Devin White for the second-most tackles on the Raiders behind Maxx Crosby (eight). Chinn was able to force a turnover late in the second quarter, when he came from behind to punch the ball out of Jerry Jeudy's arms, though the Raiders weren't able to convert that opportunity into points. Chinn has posted at least six tackles in each of his last eight games, and over that span he has accumulated 61 tackles (31 solo), one pass defense and two forced fumbles.

It was an ugly day for the Raiders as the team got routed by 34 points, but from an IDP perspective Chinn was solid by notching 10 stops. That was twice as many tackles as any other Raider and also represented the veteran safety's highest total so far this season. Chinn has registered 32 tackles and two defensed passes through five weeks in his first season with Las Vegas.

Chinn inked a two-year, $16.258 million deal with the Raiders back in March after starting all 17 regular-season games with the Commanders last season, when he recorded a career-high 117 tackles (73 solo). Chinn played all 71 defensive snaps against New England in Week 1.

Chinn sat out last week's open practice, but he's now back from whatever it was that was keeping him off the field. He's entering the first year of his contract with his new team in Las Vegas, and he figures to start at safety next to Isaiah Pola-Mao in 2025.
