Titans' Jeffery Simmons: Sacks Winston in Week 3 loss
Simmons posted 10 tackles (five solo), including 1.0 sacks, during the Titans' 12-7 loss to the Giants in Week 3.
Simmons led the Titans in combined tackles with two going for a loss, including a seven-yard sack on Jameis Winston early in the second quarter that forced the Giants to punt on the next play. Simmons is up to 20 combined tackles through three regular-season games, which leads all defensive linemen in the NFL and is fourth-most on the Titans. He's recorded a sack in back-to-back games, but he'll have his hands full in a Week 4 road tilt against Lamar Jackson, former Titans running back Derrick Henry and the Ravens.

Titans' Jeffery Simmons: Going through drills at camp
Simmons (elbow) is participating at the Titans' training camp, George Walker of the Kingsport Times News reports.
Simmons underwent surgery during the offseason to address an issue with his elbow, but it doesn't seem to be limiting him now that training camp has started up. He's coming off his first All-Pro season and figures to play a massive role on Tennessee's defensive line in 2026.

Titans' Jeffery Simmons: Snap count could decline in 2026
The Titans plan to reduce Simmons' (elbow) workload in 2026 to keep him fresh for high-leverage situations, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
Coach Robert Saleh said during minicamp in June that Tennessee wants Simmons rested for crucial third downs and two-minute situations. Fewer snaps could slightly lower Simmons' tackle volume, but Saleh's aggressive scheme should also create more opportunities for disruption. Simmons totaled a career-high 11.0 sacks last season while earning All-Pro honors, and he's fresh off signing a three-year, $105.8 million contract extension. Considering his talent level, a planned rotation shouldn't significantly damage Simmons' IDP ceiling.

Titans' Jeffery Simmons: Lands lucrative extension
Simmons (elbow) has reached agreement on a multi-year contract extension with the Titans, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the three-year pact -- which makes Simmons the highest-paid defensive tackle in NFL history -- amounts to a $105.8 extension with $100 million guaranteed. The 2019 first-rounder -- who is bouncing back from an offseason elbow procedure -- is coming off a 2025 campaign in which he recorded 67 total tackles, including 11.0 sacks, in 15 regular-season contests.

Titans' Jeffery Simmons: Undergoes elbow surgery
Simmons confirmed he underwent an elbow procedure during the offseason, Easton Freeze of AtoZSports.com reports.
Head coach Robert Saleh told reporters Wednesday that Simmons is "dealing with a couple of things," when asked about the defensive tackle's health, leaving his timeline for a return uncertain. Despite dealing with an elbow issue during the 2025 season, Simmons was still incredibly productive, posting 67 total tackles, including 11.0 sacks, three passes defensed and three forced fumbles across 15 contests. Once fully healthy, he's expected to remain one of the NFL's most dominant interior defensive linemen.
